For anyone who is traveling to San Diego.... Next time when you land at Lindbergh Field, GO STRAIGHT to Pt. Loma Seafood and have a sandwhich. For those of us who grew up in SD and are "coming home," the appetite from traveling/on the plane sets you up for a real homecoming.
Today we went to Blue Water Seafood Market on your recommendation (it's our first time on the west coast, we're from east coast) and I have to say, you nailed it bro!!!!!! We had: Black Seabass teriyaki taco Yellowtail ginger butter taco Red snapper chipotle taco Yellowtail lemon-garlic-butter taco Chipotle shrimp nachos Mother Earth beers Our Review: BEST TACOS AND BEST NACHOS WE'VE EVER HAD which is insane! We were blown away. So freaking good! Thank you so much Jay! We are here all day tomorrow too so I'm watching your videos now looking for somewhere to walk in the morning. Maybe the pier by the ships. Thank you!
Just wanted to say thanks for all your help in finding the best places to eat around San Diego. We’re Canadian, but have family in La Jolla, so we visit quite often. Thanks to you, we enjoy going out and trying all the great places San Diego has to offer.😋 Keep up with the great videos Jay!!😃
Hey brotha...great video! I was worried for your white hoodie during the birria part...lol. Glad you featured the scallop sandwich from Pt. Loma Seafood...one of my faves!
Dude! I spilled consume on my left cuff! Had to buy a tide pen lol also u inspired me to get the scallop sandwich since i always get the fish sando and had already featured it so thanks!
@@Jaycation Mikes has great fries but I personally find they have the best cali burrito. They treat their tortillas and spices with respect lol. I have yet to find a better spot for a CB, although I have several for fries.
Soo glad u mentioned blue water! Absolute best fish plates and tacos anywhere. Super fresh and delicious and a HUGE VARIETY. don’t forget they also get their handmade tortillas from next door at El Indio. Excellent review sir 🤙
@@Jaycation I’ve never had a scallop sandwich but a good fish sandwich is always good or a fried calamari sandwich. I had one in Half Moon Bay once that was really good.
Blue fish market is the best. The avocados have to be in the refrigerator at all time to keep it unripe, take one out at the time and let it get ripe close to bananas, that way you will always have one ripe avocado available.
One thing you gotta remember about Bluewater, you need to ask for avo. My favorites also include the Wahoo and their track Taco. The bourbon jalepeno lime butter mussles are also awesome.
I used to live in LA Mesa way back in the day, I can still remember all the great places to eat. Alberto's, Roberto's and any place else that ends in bertos was always a good place to go. Still and always will be Americas finest city.
Point Loma Seafood has some really tasty sandwiches and one of my favorite is the Softshell Crab Sandwich. It’s really good if you add a little horseradish and lemon. Yummy!
Dude, what about Filippi’s Pizza Grotto on India in Little Italy? You’ve got to stand in line at the little market in front to have the full San Diego experience.
bro I was in your video at the #2 spot mikes taco club in OB!! how funny I was in line with a hat on and the black/red/yellow hodads shirt and my van was with the flashers on across the street while you were walking away with your food you can see it haha so funny to see myself while enjoying your videos. Great minds think alike. Great video!
Merry Christmas JAy JAy !!! We love seafood we will try out Point Loma Seafood ! Mexi Pep sauce we will get some too !Mahalo Jay on the Avocado Info for San Diego ! Awesome Vlog !!!
Pt. Loma Seafood. Glad to see you start off with an institution since 1963 . THE BEST CRAB SAMMIE AND SMOKED FISH. Our go-to when we get to San Dog and when are heading back home. I will subscribe just because you hit home for me 🤙🏽🤙🏽
BRUH!!! Blue Water Grill is literally my favorite place to eat in all of the nation. SO simple just to have fresh catch, grilled how one likes, over rice, salad, or on tortillas.
Hey, Jay! A bunch of us are gathering in La Jolla next spring for a wedding. We’re all out-of-towners. If you could list the top 5 places to eat in LJ, we’d totally appreciate it!
If you want to try the best rolled tacos, El Tianguis in North Park has by far the best rolled tacos. The rolled tacos there are so fresh, crispy, and hits the spot
I will second your comments on food in San Diego. I had a very savoury meal with a tangy flavour at this Mexican place some where off of Gasllamp highstreet on my visit there. Mexican cousine would def go some way to promote tourism in San Diego.
Hey Jay, needs some ideas for a fancy, yet easy on the wallet place for dinner. Going to be in San Diego next week for my 11th year anniversary. My fiancé like Mediterranean and typical Cali steakhouse. We also like going out for Korean BBQ and Japanese. A few suggestions that have a great atmosphere and won't break the bank would be appreciated. Great vids, already got some ideas of where to go for a festive, relaxing time from another one of your vids.
love your videos...im pinoy as well........have you ever done top filipino food in sd ? if not that would be cool / keep up the good work ........GO ANGELS !..... im down in orange county
Jay as much as I enjoy your content, especially the ones where your showing the world our city, It would be amazing if you kept it in balance and also give light to the immaculate spots that the Hood families from San Diego bring! many tourists have this picture painted of what San Diego has to offer, but theres so much beauty, character and amazing food within the hoods of our city. Im talking Paradise Hills, national city, Southeast San diego in general leading to El cajon area. So many yummy mexican, and middle eastern cuisine that needs more admiration! even in chula vista as well, I mean they are minutes from Mexico its expected that we have immaculate food spots here
