Do NOT get the Astro A10. I’ve had them a year and the sound quality is okay but it is so ridiculously quiet that you have to be in a silent room to even hear the game or people talking. Not worth the money at all. EDIT: it was user error and the settings were located in some obscure menu. Fixed it. They sound AMAZING. Bass and sound quality is absolutely insane! Definitely reccomend! 😂
@@darrencook6704 i figured it out actually. I play on console and it was in the party settings on the Xbox of all things? They sound amazing now. 😂 user error
I have the A10 an had them for maybe 3 years an they ripped .. from me being ruff with them an they still work an sound great … an I just received the A50 with charge port today .. an I saw this video I got them because I was like if the A10 was good them ima love these A50 but there charging I’ll use them tomorrow an set up anyway.. the A10 are good too 💪💪
Not to be that person but it's key to only put the Steelseries on by the steel aluminum headband hence the name. Spread the headband out and put it on your head so you don't put pressure on the ear cups. I got a huge head so if it fits over my head I'm sure it will anyone's.
whatever is comfortable for you, i personally recommend the steelseries. i’ve had this headset for almost 3 years I think. only problems i’ve really had is replacing the cushions (after almost 3 years) and sometimes it’ll cut off if it thinks you aren’t using it (even though sometimes I swear i’m talking even if I’m not as loud) other than that I haven’t had major problems to the point where I can talk bad about this brand. at the end of the day, everyone is different and will have different experiences. maybe try going to best buy and try the display or ask the employees edit: also they are pretty pricey but i always see this brand top 3 if not number 1. I would say it’s worth the $ but always keep the receipt if you don’t like it
Def worth mentioning that the Xbox branded wireless headset also Supports Spatial Sound technologies like Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X on Xbox Series X|S
I got the steel series and i think it’s trash my friends say my mic cuts out all the time and i always hear a glitching noise after 1 year of good care taking
Im more of an xbox player but I recently gor a ps5...With my series x i mostly use my razer kaira pro's...The biggest reason is being able to listen to my phone simultaneously...Like thats PERFECT for a person like me who likes to listen to youtube while playing the game. B4 i turned my audio technica m50x's into a gaming headset by added wicked cushions, getting the boom mic that replaces the regular audio cord to a cord with a mic, then i bout the turtle beach audio adapter which basically gives ur regular headphones the features that comes with most wireless headsets having multiple eq settings, chat to game mix, mic eq, mute, etc. I just got the Steel series artics nova 7x b/c i can use em with everything, so ive been using them for my ps5 which i rarely play, & theyve been pretty good, but today im goin to try them on the xbox. The reason i got them is b/c they also run simultaneously....But i think for the most part i like the Razer Kaira pro's
Thought about getting a pair after watching this video. Razer and Corsair are the only companies I haven't had a build quality issue with even with their cheaper end items. Is the dongle included?
Would love a ps5 version! amazing job as always! I also really love audio so if you ever decide to cover headphones for gaming with an external mic I'd be definitely for it! Thanks again!
I’ve had the Steelseries Arctis 9x for 3 years, they have worked great. Mine just broke down and I was looking into something different but from what I’ve seen in this video I’m gonna stick with them again, I’ll buy another pair, they’re the best I ever had. Better than turtle beach and many others. Thanks!
I own the steal series artic 9 and yes they are great but the BIGGEST problem with them that noone talks about is that they always disconnect from the xbox at least 4 times a day
Steel Series 9x will break due to the bad henge design. The henge is made of cheap plastic and naturally cracked and broke within 3 months. Steele series refused to do anything about it. Way too expensive for sucha bad design. Also they often had to be hard reset often and the reset button is hidden deep INSIDE the ear cuff. I have photo documentary of them if interested.
I will not stand for the trashtalk on the recon 50s build. I used it for YEARS and it carried me through childhood. I since got a pc and bought a logitech g733 (not compatible with xbox) but as im going to college im moving bsck to console AND I AM BUYING A RECON 50 BECAYSE THAT SHIT IS SO HEAT
Do not get razer head set The headset itself is good but if you lose anything like the mic or it breaks, then you can’t get replacements for it. I bought two on Amazon and neither of them worked.
With the Xbox wireless official headset, mine cuts out every second or two for one half second. I restarted my Xbox and that seems to have fixed it but I want a long term fix. Should I get a different wireless headset or just go back to wired?
Steel series is ass, pieces break really easy on it. And its happened 6x to me where the mic just stops working. I can hear myself talk thru the headset but i cant hear anyone else and they cant hear me. Theres no way to fix it. After a week if your lucky itll just start working again
I had the A20s several years ago and they ran small too. I have a larger than avg head and they were def too small. I also had a wireless set of Coursairs. I can’t remember the model, but they discontinued it. They sounded incredible and the mic was awesome, but the battery quit holding a charge after about a year and it buzzed while it was charging. Hopefully these are reasons why they discontinued it. Customer support was great. They offered me a replacement headset (lower tier) for free, but I went a different direction.
I just bought the gen2 A10 last week feb 2024 and had to return them.. coming from someone who used the last gen a10s for the past six yrs maybe more … yes sound is clearer but the ear cups are alot smaller and the mic is way to sensitive compared to the last gen.. the last gen with volume turned all the way up on the wheel and on xbox audio setting would not pick up noise coming from the ear cups.. these new gens with the volume all the way up pick up chat and game volume from ear cups.. immediate return.. back to old gen a10s until i find a headset that is loud and also has a great mic.. wired or unwired for gaming shouldn’t matter tbh..
No one gonna talk about that beautiful mic quality on the hs65 edit: alright I got them and there really fucking uncomfortable, if you replaced the material covering the actual headset speaker it might be ok
Recon 50 is good I gotta say, but instead get the 70 please! Recoon 50 can do whatever the 70 does but the 70 is better. In some places its a bit expsenisive (40-50), but its worth the price. If you want something cheap but great go for the 50. but 70 definitely has better mic quality, Its comfortable. This was my honest opinion but to be honest any Turtle Beach headset is amazing. I dont reccomend Steel Series. Sure it looks good but the mic quality is not good at all. Its cheap and it gets uncomfortable around the ears.
I have arctis 9x. Work brilliantly on old gen but far to quit on next gen. Also, apps like RU-vid have problems with the audio on next gen with this headset. Tried to update it but same problems. Anyone else with same problem?
i would not recommend steel series arctis 9x i bought my recently and a lot of people are having a issue where the headset wont turn on or factory reset, including me if your going to buy a steel series i recommend the 7x or 7 since most people arent having the same issue waist of 100$ so im pissed
Look...how do you do a mic review without actually recording the mics? Every other review will record how the mics are. Being an audiophile sound is subjective at times and getting a mic is also dependent on what your voice sounds like especially when you're on a console and you can't change audio settings like compression, gate, gain, ramp...etc.
If you opt for the a10s the new generation is absolutely garbage one of the worst headsets I’ve ever used. Get the first generation nothing but praise for that headset but idk how they took those and made them worse in every way shape and form then sold them as an improved version
Any echoing issues with any of these, recently replaced my headset & my party complains of being able to hear themselves through my headset. Never been an issue before.
I bought the arctis 9x and returned it in favor of continuing to use my 5 year old TB stealth 600s. Zero bass response. Weak footsteps. Just not a good immersive shooter experience at all in my opinion with any eq setting. Super harsh highs out of the box and again the bass response just wasn’t there. Built quality was not up to par with my expectations of the price. Just couldn’t disagree with that choice any more, to be honest with you.
They don't just push the headband with your left and right hand outwards to put it on your head. I have it since release and used the 9x for a year but I definitely wouldn't recommend the 9x it disconnected constantly so I got the nova pros when they released and no issues since then. If you're not looking for dual Bluetooth and hot swap get the Maxwell's though for the superior sound
@@YourD2SupportMain maxwells? I got the 7x and I have no issues and works very well. One thing I would have liked was when I turn it on I want the light blinking so I know it’s on because for a straight 30 minutes I kept on seeing it turn on then not blinking so I thought it had turned off.
Those first a10s are horrible I’m sorry. I bought them and a month in I was having problems with my mic echoing and audio cutting in and out. Waist of money
Steelseries is the most comfortable but has the worst build. Both my artis headsets have broke at the hing and the pads fell out. I take really good care and have never broken any peripheral before those headphones. If you have money to burn and can afford to replace them after 1 year than go for it
Hyper X cloud series. Earmuffs can flake but overall not a bad headset. Had mine for 3 years still going strong. Music & Comp Gaming too. Only Higher end headsets can really last
The sync on my steels series is terrible, drops all the time, ear pin broke as well. The mic and sound are fantastic, IMO, but their support is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, so if you have any issues like I did, you will be sure to get absolutely nowhere…
I do like you have very budget friendly headsets on this list not many people do XD they try to get people to by the $100 plus headsets. I do have the A20s right now and later getting the Microsoft wireless ones. Sadly my best buy only has the expensive headsets on sale for the xbox.
Forget the Turtle Beach Recon 50, and honestly all of the other headsets on this list. The *best* headset ever made for Xbox is in my opinion the Turtle Beach Recon 500. I got them on sale for around €20, and i got so surprised by both the mic and audio quality for that price. Like no joke, the mic literally sounds equally as great as the Logitech G Pro X and those go for around €100/€150 depending on wired or wireless. The audio on the Recon 500 is also pretty good for €20, with noticeable bass, etc and just overall really good audio. Oh and also, the Astro A10 is like made for kids. Extremely small earpads, they're like on-ear headphones which is a huge minus. Otherwise, they're pretty decent but i'd recommend buying them during a sale or some other bigger Astro headsets.
@@teardrop5171 I don't know if you're talking about the Recon 50 or Recon 500, but so far my mic isn't like broken or anything on my Recon 500. Still sounds equally as good as when i got them, last year. I have no clue how the Recon 50 is, so i can't really say much about them.
@@L0ck1n It varies nearly every single day, but some of my favorite games are Destiny, Destiny 2, The Ascent, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Assassin's Creed Origins, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Spiritfarer and much more that i can't think of right now. I mostly use my headset when playing with my family, though.
This video is off .. an is giving sponsor vibes like they was paid for it … because there’s a better headset for every pair that there showing frfr ! Also it’s not about what someone else likes it’s about what you like then that’s for you … me I have the A10 an loved them an had them about 3 years an I upgraded to the A50 because I figured if I loved the 10 them I’ll live the 50s … anyway that’s my thoughts 💭 on it
I wanted to get a headset to play siege and cod because my last one is no longer with us partially because of me but i really dont want a wireless headset which should i get?
@@a_person_i_think_maybe I was just asking if you’ve decided yet cuz I wanted to see which one you got and what you think of it and how and why you decided it. My headset has been bugging lately tryna get a new one and see from other people’s experiences
Razer Kiara pros are hit and miss. I've messed with every setting possible and cannot get my mic to work in chat. With Mic monitoringi can hear myself but live says it cannot find my microphone. I would stay away from them completely.
Extremely missleading for the Kira it’s the biggest piece of shit with a whole boat load of bug from connection issue to audio and microphone issue I constantly have problem with the audio becoming fuzzy and shit for no reason and when I contact razer they answered with it’s a connection issue between the Xbox wifi and the Bluetooth in the headset interfering with each other don’t waste your money on them
Kind of dumb to say this or that headsets durrablity is trash...thats one instance...then you go and see a couple of hundred people complaining still doesnt mean anything because there are thousands and thousands of them sold...all relative none of these headphones are steel and indestructible bit they all handle normal use perfectly fine
