In a highly anticipated matchup, Africentric defeated Edison 65-60 behind 22 points from Alexia Smith. Standout sophomore Damiya Hagemann led DEPSA with 18 points. Coming into the matchup, ESPN had Africentric ranked as the #3 team in the country and Edison right below at #4. Africentric is led by the #2 ranked senior in the country, Tennessee signee Jordan Horston. Edison is led by a pair of 5 stars, Mississippi State commit Rickea Jackson (ranked #9 in the country) and sophomore Damiya Hagemann (ranked number #15 in the country).

Columbus has a dynasty, and I'm not talking about The Ohio St. Buckeyes. The Africentric Lady Nubians had tied with The Mt. Notre Dame Lady Cougars (Cincinnati), and The Pickerton Central Lady Tigers (Pinkerton, Ohio) for the most state championships in girls high school basketball, and Africentric High School is only 20 years old.

I think is a trendy thing smart brother I was looking at it from the kids being presentable and representing the team or school from that kinda standpoint travon martin didn't come to.mind who knows it might have been cold or raining that night is because he had his hood on ur probably a young person to campare that situation right out of the blue huh?

Same thing dont care how you try to slice it. Second these girls are warming up in hoodies for a basketball game and the first thing that comes to your mind is they look like bank robbers and they dont look presentable. Do you say the same thing about guys who are the gym in hoodies working out? Should they look more presentable as well? Should the girls be in long dresses or something? I'm trying to figure out presentable attire for warming up before your basketball game. Clown...smh

@@anthonytaylor7928 How about they are insuring that their bodies are warm from top to bottom. They are focused, blocking out the noise and the nonsense. Preparing to show everyone that they are exceptional on the court. These girls represent their schools in the most appropriate manner at all times. Their grades, personalities, manners, community service, and athletics. For you to come on You Tube and focus on a non issue to demean them is reprehensible.
