Red Fox, Fallow Deer, Rocky Mountain Elk, Wild Boar/Feral Hog, Cape Buffalo. Red Fox for the fur variations that naturally occurs in the wild. Fallow Deer, they're massive, surprisingly. Rocky Mountain Elk, just goes without saying the potential behind them. For the Feral Hog, they're a "trash animal" one that doesn't belong in a lot of the habitats they occupy. They get massive and they can have exceptional tusks/teeth that you can work with, along with a lot of fur variation potential. The game has a lot of them already implemented though, which would be a bit of a drawback. Then Cape just for their size and horn potential.
I think that fallow is my number one, followed by mule deer and Rocky Mountain elk. I’m still working on my whitetail grind but I hope they add one of those three!
I finally took down my first GO today and put him in the lodge (it was a red deer) and it made me think about how I would LOVE to see more GO red deer furs!!
As a person that is almost 6k into my mule deer grind with 74 diamonds it makes me so happy that you agree with me about we need a g1 mule deer and 2 mule deer locking heads
The top five non DLC GOs I'd like to see are, Blacktail, Fox, Roe deer, wild boar, and European Bison. The top five DLC GOs I'd love to see are Reindeer(would it even carry over to Caribou since they are the same animal?), Puma/mountain lion, European Lynx, and Mule deer. As an added bonus, I'd also like to see Pronghorn and a wolf great one. We kinda of already saw a wolf great one in the Quatro Colinas missions with unique fur type variants of wolves in the storyline, but I'd love to see grey wolves or Iberian wolf GOs.

I would love great one elks! As you said, the diamonds already have gorgeous antlers so GO's would be absolutely crazy! Other species I'd like as great ones are turkey (give birds some love!), gemsbok aka the African moose as I like to call it, and wild boar.
I agree with keeping them on the free maps but at a certain point, its the same thing as having a species on a single map, like the cape buffalo for example, its part of the game but its locked behind a paywall, sure you can hunt regular buffalo but if you really want to hunt a certain species, 8 dollars isn't a whole lot
for me iv'e been watching a lot of 22 magnum videos of late. i hope it might get added to the game as a class 1 and 2 rifle. great one coyote and red fox would be cool.
Love the ideas and your videos/content. I play too leisurely to expect to see a Great One. I've had COTW since November and have a total of 2100 kills. (Thats ALL species). I could not even imagine trying to kill over 2100 Whitetail, just to get a Great One. Sounds to me too much like a job, and not enough like a relaxing time after work for a couple hours. But keep giving us more excellent content. 🤙
I was thinking the same thing about the Rocky Mountain elk great one but the Rosevelt elk would still be cool but the Rocky Mountain elk would be a lot better, also would be a lot more beautiful.
I think if they make GO species that covers the base game fully, they would then go to DLC maps and make GO for them. I think an argument could be made that it's fair for a DLC GO to be implemented but my counter argument is that it would double the wait time for the next possible base game GO for players who haven't bought a DLC for whatever reason. I think that ensuring that the minority of players who don't buy reserve DLCs have as much content as possible is a reasonable goal since afterwards, DLC maps and species would get full resources allocated to them. Doing a back and forth, unless they are doubling dev efforts for GOs, is simply inefficient cause no matter what, a portion of the player base would be annoyed.
My theory is that we will have the next great on on hirschfelden because layton already has 3 and hirschfelden only 1. And I think it will be a fallow deer, a roe deer or a hog.
Awesome vid! To be honest I'd love to see a Euro bison great one with special fur types and maybe a broken horn or something like that but fallows, mulies, and both elk would be amazing too! :D
Agree with all choices and for extra I would've love to see Great One for small predators. Like Lynxes, Foxes, Racoons. It would've make'em more appealing to hunt.

I would love for a Great One Update, or even DLC, that enables Great One for every species. It is not realistic to go and grind for them all, but I do love to have a choice, one of the many reasons I love the game. It would even be better if the animals that don't have a drink time get a higher spawn rate than animals that have drink times and have big herds. However, my top 5 great ones that I want the most, even though most of them are super unrealistic: 1) Merriam Turkey: They are my favourite species in the game. From the calls to the plumage and the different ways of hunting them. I love them. They are great for bow hunting too, which I do a lot. 2) Goldeneyes: Favourite duck species. Would love to grind for a great one. Have yet to find a diamond one though. 3) Western Capercaillie: Chick with an attitude. The great one Capercaillie should be as lethal as a lion. One hit and you are gone. :D 4) Mule deer: No diamond yet for me, but the golds I have are already massive. 5) Big Horn Sheep: I love all the sheep/ibeces. So one of them being a great one would be nice. Did the hunt club event and got one diamond, an albino lvl 3, and another diamond potential lvl 5 out of it (using herd management). So I really would not mind to continue the grind for BHS. :) As always, thank you for your amazing videos. Watching your vids I graduated from "I rarely get my shots right" to "What diamond do I want to go for next?".

When I saw your thumbnail, I was so elated until I read the title... haha. Yes, I agree that EW is making a great call to making Great Ones available only for the non DLC maps. It shows that they care about new players who get the game and those who are not willing to pay for DLC maps. On the another note, I agree completely about your list! Maybe a "Scar" looking lion from "The Lion King" would be AWESOME! Or making a unique fur type such as a brindle coat.
Ew said that great ones should be from animals from layton lake and hirschfelden fauna, also we already have 3 animals from NA like fauna and only from EU, so my predictions goes to euro bison, fallow deer and even wildboar, but a great one from africa would be insane, even the smaller ones!

I really want a fallow GO. Me and a good friend of mine grind them all the time, and we both have agreed that the fallow should be the next great one. It would look awesome. I’m actually about to start grinding for a GO moose
I would absolutely love a Lion great one. so, 18 hours into the game, my first lion was a double lung with heart shot. It was a lvl 6 lion. I am really proud of that one, Kinda sad it was a gold. I wished it was a diamond
In my honest opinion I think the Cape Buffalo. Roosevelt elk and and fallow white tail or needed the most gran it tape buffalo or On any non DLC map forPC it comes free on console.
Honestly, if it has antlers, I would want it lol my main lodge, as far as what I focus on, is a collection of anything with antlers~ got a spot reserved for my dream, a red deer GO. Aside from antlered animals, a wolf would be my next choice, I love going out fightin grey wolves, some extra special ones would be so good
@@integrahellsing8887 ah understandable, I’ve heard results can REALLLY vary on how long it takes to get the GO in the end, so it makes me suuuper excited to not get my red deer for the next 4K kills potentially lol. 2 things, how’s the whitetail going? And secondly were you using herd management for the red deer? I realized recently I didn’t properly stack my zones and am now painstakingly going through redoing it lol

What about grinding an hour or so each day mixed with other hunting? You should only grind if you enjoy grinding. Not everyone does. And if you don't, that's okay! I love grinding myself. And thank you so much!
Fallow, Mule, Roosevelt Elk/RM Elk, that's my top 3 most wanted, Caribou/Reindeer could be No.4, Sika Deer could be No.5, i prefer antler animals for G1
I think when they're comfortable making dlc exclusive great ones they'll start with one on vurhonga It's the only map that doesn't have any species from the base game and the only map without a great one currently
Honestly since I refuse to waste my time and kill my love of the game by farming Great Ones, I don’t really care, but I think Wild Boar would be cool. And Bobwhite Quail (just because no one would bother grinding for one, making them truly a surprise).

Since it will be a non dlc go, i would love to see a fallow deer go. Those antlers would be massive. I wouldn't mind see a go roe deer either. If it is non antlered, i would want to see a red fox since they just got their models redone. We'll see. Hope it isn't a European bison.
I would like the next Go to be the roe deer, the fallow deer or the wild boar, for the following reasons: First, their ammo classes are low, making them easy to kill in large numbers. Second, it's about time there was another European Go to keep the deer company. Third, these species are on multiple maps, so you're spoiled for choice.
I think we're getting a G1 fallow deer next, just because its the only antlered species that is on more than one map. Or it could be a red fox, who knows.
