The roof Koreans had organized under a retired South Korean army officer using a Korean language radio station to organize and send people to areas needing protection. Good organization, communication and discipline.
Well if I had a choice of any army to defend me... South Korea has one of the top 5 armies in the world, their discipline is so fierce it blows my mind... they went from literally the WORST army in 1950 to among the very best there is... I used to work for a South Korean, brought up there, married in arranged marriage to an American korean girl - and was in the ROK army. During the boot training, the sarge marches them down to a pond, in winter, yet, and orders them to kick the ice open then jump around in water up to your neck and cross the pond. Anybody that can't do that is a big ol sissy compared to these guys
@@robertmaybeth3434 the ROK army is not all that you need to see them in action seriously I was there for 4 years the rich come to the states not to serve their country, every month a protest, hookers, and beetles on the ice cream
My neighbor is a roof Korean. The hardest worker and kindest man I've ever met. Fantastic family man. Trying to get him to adopt me and take me shooting. He's older now though.
Or go buy your own, and go shooting. It's always more fun to go to the range with a friend or two (as it is with anything, being social creatures)... but going by yourself is better than not. Unless you're too young to purchase such stuff. Also, if you just can't afford it, many ranges will rent you guns for range use. But if you never grew up around guns, and firing them yourself when you weren't even 10 yet, then it probably is a decent idea to have someone around that know what they are doing, even though it isn't that complicated at all. The smallest mess up with such stuff could be life or death though, therefore it's good to have someone to learn the basics from. P.S. Also, if you begin doing something the wrong way when you are shooting, it's a lot harder to break you from that bad habit than it would have been to just train you the right way before you picked up and got used to such a bad habit.

Much respect for my Korean friends, they are welcome at my campfire anytime. I trained with ROK Marines in S. Korea just South of the DMZ...hard chargers they were. They shoot well. I traded patches with a recon ROK Marine and every time I look at it I think how good it was to be in S. Korea as we worked well together, trained hard and they treated us great. Good people, glad some of them are Americans.

M8 you can't really stop a riot with guns without being really deadly, and if you are attacked within a hostile crowd, you can't really make it stop with a gun (see capitol officers)
Shotgun! There's a reason they call it a "Riot Gun". There nothing like skipping steel shot off pavement, knee high, to ruin someone's day! It's an old Police Tactic that is often forgotten in today's police training. Do a "Mythbusters" style test, and you'll see what I'm talking about. Or, just look up "Skipping Buckshot off Horizontal Surfaces"
It can often save lives and doesn’t create so much hesitation as using deadly force. Many cops miss because of poor training but worse then that it’s the adrenaline dump and their inability to make the best decisions as well as lack of fine motor skills when it happens. 40 mike-mikes, pepper balls and even skip shots go a long way in offering real life experience and it’s less likely to cause death. (Unfortunately when pointing and firing a gun that typically has to be a life or death situation.)
I saw a video on reddit one time where a rioter was lit up with birdshot from a riot gun. It was a far shot and the guy was littered with pellets. Needless to say he stopped rioting after he took the birdshot.
3 or 4 blasts of buckshot can get you out of a tight spot or at least buy time to deploy something else. Practice combat loading and you'll never go dry.

For a shotgun, I’d recommend the Mossberg 590a1 SPX. It’s 8+1 and comes with an Ontario Knife Co. M9 bayonet. Slap a Mesa Tactical 6 round side saddle on there and you are GTG. I’d still rather an AR with multiple mags for a riot.
What's happing to them is completely ridiculous. That said I don't exactly bleed my heart for them. They are left wingers and not only that, they are of the lawyers to push frivolous cases against gun companies. The handgun the woman was carrying was actually a deactivated prop they were using in a lawsuit against a gun company. Lawsuits was the reason the ACR stopped being produced and why TAPCO dissolved.
Regarding the 37 mm grenade launcher, in 1968 Army infantry combat in RVN (prior to adoption of the M203) we were still using single shot break-open M-79 40 mm grenade launchers. Each of my two rifle platoon's squads had two M-79 grenadiers. They used starshells and parachute flares shot from them to illuminate targets at night, more often than you'd suspect. ... It's germane to mention that passive night vision optics was in its infancy at the time. "First generation" Starlight scopes were large, heavy, bulky and used difficult to procure, proprietary batteries. As we only had one in each of the two platoons with which I served in combat, they were less useful than you might think. Depending on the platoon, its current strength and the tactical situation, we might divide the platoon into 4, 5, or 6 positions on an RON or night ambush. That would mean there was a Starlight scope in only 25%, 20%, or 17% of the platoon's positions on a night ambush. The ability to use the M-79s for quick, local illumination was very useful tactically. ... Of course, in a riot situation you describe, it's a "target rich" environment. ... ... Great, thought provoking video guys. Thanks! ... ... EDIT: ... BTW, while I was in Vietnam, the ROK Marines were also there. They were legendary fighters at the time. It was their militarily savvy descendants that held the high ground in their tight-knit community during the LA riots. Leftist thugs who attempted to loot and burn Little Korea in LA quickly found themselves in deep kimchi!
I would never risk having to hand over papa's M1over some dead street rats. That's why I carry Glocks and basic ARs. 100% in favor of the Beretta 92. That gun is very smooth and reliable due to it being a full size 9mm handgun. It's not the best by far as an everyday carry, but definitely the one handgun I'd grab in a SHTF situation.

Most experts recommend a weapon light mounted on your firearm. I understand the need to identify your target. I can also see that a firearm mounted light is creating a very bright target for the assailant (bad guy) to aim at.
I totally agree with you Steve, why give the bad guys a perfect target to shoot at. None of my firearms have lights mounted on them. Glow in the dark front sights work for me on some of my hand guns.
From airsoft wars I learned it's all about capacity. As soon as you have to reload you're dead. A lot of people may laugh but paintball, airsoft and similar guns are as close as you can get to actual combat other than actual combat. It's taught me a lot about gunfighting. Nah, even if you can't afford them now that the urban dwellers are realizing that they should have purchased guns back when we told them to, they will come back (production is blazing on these things and ammo will come back as well). The prop Boba Fett uses in the films is a modified Webley & Scott № 1 Mark "I" Flare Gun, built for use by British troops during WWI. To make it into the weapon of an intergalactic bounty hunter, prop makers added a rifle scope, some detail parts to the stock and either an MPP Microflash or Heiland Synchronar flash unit protruding from the end of the barrel. There were also some blocky detail pieces added between the scope mounts and the body of the gun.

I think they need to popularize, standardize and improve compatibility for bullpup rifles.
