some dude: welcome to the salty spitoon how tough are ya? me: i beat oxide’s ghost on sewer speedway. someone: so? me: PRE-PATCH. someone: uhhh right this way sir...
Hey, don't forget "250crash250" that guy is a legend in CTR online and all CTR games, I've been learn how to beat all time trials from him and after I done with that later I found Lewis channel
just recently got more into this game, and did the time trials. For Base Game Oxide's Trials id say its: 1. Dragon Mines (shortcut, and the spiral both suck, and the minecarts are annoying) 2. Turbo Track (the boosts are randomly placed, in bad spots, and blue fire doesnt hold long at all) 3. Sewer Speedway (The "Patched" Shortcut doesnt even feel patched.. it still fails to work 90% of the time) 4. Polar Pass (The Blue Flame pad is in a weird spot, and is pretty easy to fly over, and the shortcut near the start is trash) 5. Crash Cove (Maintaining Sacred Fire without hitting a wall, when cutting corners, or somehow falling behind oxide is rough) 5 Honourable Mentions: * Out Of Time (the fence shortcut is a total pain, but most of the track itself isnt too bad most times) * Deep Sea Driving (The Fans are super annoying, but if you can avoid them, its super easy to maintain fire) * Dingo Canyon (not hard, but lame. the track has barely any room to drift-boost, and the water section eats all your speed) * ClockWork Wumpa (If you can manage to hold blue fire, this one is a piece of cake, but some of the turns just suck) * Cortex Castle (I had no issue with this one, but i know most people do, and honestly maintaining speed/fire is rough here)
It's so interesting how individual the tracks are. Blizzard Bluff and sewer speedway was super easy for me, but I struggle a lot with slide colosseum and no one else seems to do so.
As someone who is not good in this kind of games, I agree with you. I just beat Tropy on Oxide Station, so I will finish them all but Oxide's are just impossible for me
@@federicomacias1946 back during the release I felt the same way but that changee quickly. It wasn't enough, so I had to keep going and eventually beat all of oxide's times. Nowadays I can beat dragon mines oxide pretty easily. Did you try em?
Who else is watching this now that the Velo time trials are here and the Dev times have been announced? I just look at Dragon Mines in the track selector and quietly sob to myself now
I know you might see this because there’s not too many comments, so Lewis I just wanted to let you know I love your videos and the Minecraft videos are the best part of my week. Thanks for being an epic John Wick fortnite skin Roblox gamer
Dragon mines is the only track that Oxide is somewhat tough to beat but everything else is pretty easy imo. For a new player almost every track is tough but watching Oxide taking some shortcuts that you don’t even know about (Polar pass U-turn skip, Papu’s Pyramid U-turn skip) teaches the player a lot about the tracks.
3:55 The different tiers of fire: No fire Red fire (good drift boost) Orange fire (3 perfect drift boosts) Yellow fire/Sacred fire (turbo pad) Blue fire/USF (Super turbo pad)
@@AndrewColomy nah there's a way to do it. You should be able to beat the first death trap before it swings over on every lap, but for the other 4 just hold your USF and follow the speed pads, break turning through the middle of the tunnel. Easy to see where you're going then
Completely agree with these picks. Beating Oxide in Dragon Mines was the most frustrating ghost I've faced yet. I couldn't open N. Tropy on Oxide Station either, and getting blizzard bluff's last railing shortcut is something I still have trouble with. I was able to beat Oxide on Tiny Temple, the trick was keeping the blue sacred fire and just constantly boosting as much as possible to inch ahead. Still got a few races to beat Oxide in though.
Special shoutouts from me go to Crash Cove and Polar Pass. I could not beat Crash Cove with an Acceleration type character, the type that I beat Oxide with on literally every other track except it and Blizzard Bluff, so I switched to Speed and thankfully it's so much easier to keep your boosts. And Polar Pass just sucks since you need to get both the two shortcuts right the first two laps and then one on the third. And not get hit by any seals. My god that one was so frustrating.
Bought the game for my daughter for Christmas. Played the game myself almost every day. And FINALLY I have beaten all oxide ghosts. Fucking hell, it wasn’t easy. Here’s my personal hardest 5: 1. Tiny temple 2. Dragon mines 3. Oxide station 4. Megamix mania 5. Crash cove
Idk for you guys but sewer speedway is my favourite map and i found it extremely easy to beat oxide on it whereas i struggle on every other map(yes, i am a noob and cant maintain my boost on maps other than sewer speedway)
Let me tell you, the Spyro Circuit trial was balls to the wall hard. Like holy fuck dude. Oxide is constantly on your ass, and you have to maintain boosts for the entire track which is kinda difficult because you just come out of the 8 section that barely leaves you enough time to drift enough to get enough reserves to go on. Lets not forget how if you mess up jumping over the grass entirely, stone wall included, its considered out of bounds and its a restart.
Slow Fire = Green Fire or Yellow Fire (green is for 1 or 2 chained miniturbos, yellow is for 3) Fast Fire = Sacred Fire For me Sewer Speedway wasn't that bad, you only need to do the shortcut once, but I aimed a good time so I did it 3 times prepatch. And I agree with Dragon Mines, that track is hell
Nice video dude. You brought up many things I agree with. 😃 Also, the party showcasing you completed all ghost and having to redo them, made me smile/laugh. Just laying down screaming into your pillow 😂👍
Yea.....dragon mines by far. Funny how the very first stage, crash cove, took me twice as long to beat than oxide station. And when I beat him on oxide station I passed him by probably 6 seconds.
I swear there seem to be more invisible walls and boundaries in this version than in the original. Some shortcuts I can do consistently in the original CTR but have much more trouble hitting in this game.
Of the 4 released, Nina's Nightmare has the most difficult one I guess : online pros can barely get below Oxide's time. It's very similar to Crash Cove in that sense.
I agree with blizzard bluff. Getting that shortcut jumping over the river 3 times. Took a good 45 minutes to beat him and oxide station was the last one i had to beat. Couldnt even unlock the tropy ghost at first !. They were the hardest for me
My top 5 list. (If your`e going for champion kart) 1. Gingerbread Joyride 2. Twilight Tour 3. Spyro Curcit 4.Oxide Station 5. Dragon Mines good video btw
After beating all N. Tropy's times and seeing the absurd times that I needed to do in order to beat Oxide, I almost gave up. When I decided to try it for real, I spent 3 days trying to beat him in Crash Cove. But after that, everything went fine, until I faced Dragon Mines. Spent 2 days trying to beat him, and one time he actually passed over me literally in the finish line. Literally. I've beaten him and my hands hurt so much right now. I freaking hate those mine carts so much. Anyway, blizzard bluff was too easy for me...beated him in two attempts. I'm getting this freaking trophy
Dragon Mines should be number 1. Fuck that track just for all the racing game modes. It's so broken in the Nitro-Fueled version. In the original CTR your kart would bounce of that wall if you hit when going up the spiral. Also surprised not to see Papu's Pyramid on this list. I had no trouble with Sewer Speedway at all 😜
Ugh, I remember these. Although my list is slightly different. 5. Blizzard Bluff - Easier now that I can reliably do the first shortcut across the river. Need to learn to jump the fence though. 4. Oxide Station - Became easier with the Drift class and learning to hop through the tight corners 3. Tiny Temple - Way easier now that I can always hold blue fire for the final 2 laps 2. Deep Sea Driving - I always have the worst timing/position when I get to the turbine fans near the end. Haven't been able to improve my time because of them. Only beat Oxide by luck 1. Dragon Mines - Fuck that spiral. Has become slightly easier with Drift class but I may need to master the shortcut And with the new developer time trials incoming I'd better start practicing again.
Mine is Dragon Mines, Sewer Speedway but Deepsea Driving was the worst for me. I can imagine Sewer Speedway isn’t as bad now because of the patch. On launch day I tried to beat Oxide’s ghost after 2 hours trying when the shortcut had a mind of its own, it’ll either help you or it won’t at all. You had more chance trying to roll a dice three times to get the same result 3 times.
Beating the Oxide ghosts in all original levels from CTR and CNK in Nitro-Fueled, had a fair difficulty for me, except in Tiny Temple, where I had to maintain the blue fire (if you know what I mean). And I managed to beat the Velo ghosts pretty easily, on each level in order from up to down, until Dragon Mines, where it’s very hard to beat Velo’s ghost. And from the level Dragon Mines and on, the Velo ghosts are on the verge of impossible for me to beat, and in the bonus levels in Nitro-Fueled, it’s as hard to beat Oxide’s ghosts, as it is to beat Velo’s ghosts in the original levels from CTR and CNK. And just to beat N. Tropy’s ghosts in the bonus levels in Nitro-Fueled, was quite tough for me, while it was easy to beat N. Tropy’s ghosts in the original levels.
My five, going the order I beat them in from last of the five to the final one, has to consist of: 5) Mystery Caves - This is just one where you can have Oxide go in front at points in the first two laps and can still pull it back if you're quick enough, but still, it's a close race even when you're at your best. 4) Sewer Speedway - You have to hope the shortcut works, the barrels aren't going to be in the way, and that you can find an angle to boost at to keep what you have going. 3) Inferno Island - It was almost like the game thought I wasn't trying to keep up my boosts and so the one I got from the boost pad just went as soon as I went over it. 2) Crash Cove - For the very first track of the game, it's awfully hard, you can outrun Oxide in the first lap and get the boosts in the second, but it's trying to keep that boost going in the second and final laps that's the problem. 1) Dragon Mines - Need I say more?
I haven't beaten Oxide's times yet, just NTropy so far. The Nitro Kart tracks were mostly a breeze for beating his times, but the original ones were quite a bit harder for me. Tracks that were easier to drive on but had difficult shortcuts were the worst, because you had little margin of error. I spent ages doing Oxide Station though, that track was hard!
Dragon Mines was the last track that I beat Oxide on. Got the Gasmoxian Slug and the PS4 platinum trophy in the same race and when I finally beat Oxide, I beat his time by 3 seconds.
I feel ya on Sewer Speedway. I just recently cracked down on beating the N. Tropy ghosts, and Sewer Speedway was the first one I did today because I'd beat the tracks before it. It was terrible. Making the jump for the shortcut, avoiding getting crushed, keeping my speed up, etc. It. SUCKED. Now I'm on Dragon Mines (struggled quite a bit with Polar Pass), and I have from Dragon Mines to Oxide Station left. I've beat 7 N. Tropy time ghosts today.
I didn't take long to do Dragon Mines at all. I only beat him by a hair but it only took a few attempts. Me and my brother are in the minority who always liked that track, and my highest ever leaderboard position was my relic race time on it. now Dingo Canyon on the other hand is basically 'my Dragon Mines' in that i have always hated it, i hit all the obstacles, can't do the shortcut and can never maintain speed. That one was a nightmare for me. Also surprised at the lack of Deep Sea Driving
I haven't had a chance to play NF yet, but I remember on the original CTR I could never beat Oxide at Cortex Castle, Slide Colosseum, and Papu's Pyramid.
Crash Bandicoot Fan29, lol I'm a derp on Papu's Pyramid, either I make the jump or I hit the wall and fall on the shortcut at the end. I just have to practice some more on Cortex Castle and Slide Colosseum.
My list would be almost identicle.. although i never had much problem with oxide station or sewer speedway (i only attempted after shortcut fix) so i would add in mystery caves ( i think its called that) and god damn crash cove
I beat Dragon Mines Oxide on my second try. Ignore the fact that I had already beaten the dev on several courses when I went for it just cause I wanted the champion kart decal so I already knew how to properly U-Turn and how to hold flame.
