The Year of the Dragon is something special. Sadly, it is the only one from Hendrix that I own because I normally don't try to blind buy stuff unless I have an interest. Otherwise, I try to get soap samples to make sure I'll use the soap. But regardless, I enjoy the Stronger with You line (the original and Intensely are my favorites), but I haven't tried any of the "note-based" ones like Oud, Amber, Leather, or the new Tobacco. However, YOTD does smell like the Stronger with You DNA w/ a suedey-leathery tone and darkness. Slightly sweet and a bit nutty (chestnut is the centerpiece of all of the line), but also sophisticated. This is something you put on when you want to go out on a date night with style. 😊I really want to try Alone, though. Side Effect is a favorite of mine. Ticket to Ride sounds good too, but I already own Y EDT and Y Live, so I'm Y'ed out, lolololololol.
I feel like Alone? Didn't get the love it deserves, I just haven't seen it a whole lot in shape of the day photos I think of most guys try it they'll see why I like it so much the wife loves it too. I have Y EDP and had a small bottle of the EDT but it's gone now. That whole line is 🔥 Have a good one Dev!
Impossible to make a bad list when talking about HC&C. Currently my favorite artisan. just putting out so much good stuff. IMO Cosmic Gentleman HAS to have a spot on the top 5 list though!! Cosmic Gentleman makes me feel like James Bond on the International space station. Hope you have a great week Tobin!
I've mentioned it before, but I just got 6 soap/splash sets from HC&C. Except for Ticket To Ride, the other 4 of your top 5 are part of that 6 scent order. American Badass and Mogul are the other 2.
Great top 5. Only have mjolnir for now. But they all sound really great. Ticket to ride or year of the dragon I’m looking forward to get when I get a chance.

Great list Tobin. It's hard to narrow now HC&C to 5 let alone 10 as all of the recent drops have been great. Another one is 12 Shaves that was done for Head Shavers Ball FB group that's great, it's right up there with Ticket to Ride for me. A few of us had asked to keep it around, and Pete is considering it but it will have a name change. Then the HC&C soap base is awesome and my skin loves it. Have a great week.

Great list Tobin! It's not very often where I actually have most of someone's top list of scents, but I was lucky enough to have to have three of the five here and they are really good. HC&C is definitely on a roll and just when you think he's hit all the really good scents, he comes out with another that tops the last. I'm not sure where he goes from here, but since I'm not a frag-head, I really don't know what's out there and I know there's some older scents that he could do. He did have Opium before, but I think he's found a better source for the scents and maybe that will come back. Obsession, CK One, Cool Water, Joop!, Mexicaly Musk-lol. I guess there's still plenty of scents around to do. Take care!
@@Tobins_throwbacks Oh man, I had to go back and watch the video again-lol! Rise of a new era is the only one I don't have now and I kind of forgot about that one when I had you give me some samples. No biggy, I'm almost cologned out for now. I had to watch the video again because Alone and Ticket to Ride have almost the exact same label.

I seriously love both of those! So, if you like those I'd recommend trying Ticket To Ride next or Brilliantly Broken Man. Both should be right up your alley.🙏👍👍
