Idk about aviator mechanics, but lineman and elevator constructors should be at the top, especially if you join a union. It's not hard to make over $100k as a lineman 4-5 months in if you're a journeyman. There are some guys that chase storms, make $80k 3 months, then take the other 9 months off. I know that with the union elevator constructors, ANY overtime is double time. If your boss calls you up at 4am to come into work at 5am wgen you start at 6:30am, then that 1.5 hour is double time, even if you take a day off.
