I thought you should mention the color change as #1!

I’d say that’s just icing on the cake. 😎 I love the new colour but the redesign really makes it a completely different beast during harvest.

I think some of the new in cab functions are awesome. Like closing all 4 rotor flaps, being able to push a button and the ITS bars go in (that was a real dirty job on 700 series) and from cab add blank to threshing concave. Makes for switching crops real quick. Oh forgot and switch from high/low on the threshing cylinder with the push of a button.

Totally agree! Everything from the cab is really good. Not getting dirty in the middle of the day when switching is so nice. Although I always find a way to get covered in something. LOL. I didn't even think of the cylinder switch and not having to change those two bolts.... Thanks for commenting!

Switching from corn to beans in the cab!

Yes, in parts of the country that is definitely a huge improvement! We experience that a lot here Ontario. We were very fortunate this year with an early completion to harvest but on a normal year it is not unheard of to be doing beans and corn in December or even January. To change head and push a couple buttons sure speeds things up now. Thanks for the comment!

Great video Jeremy! I didn't get a chance to play with the 8600 this year.

Thanks Warren! Ya demo's did go according to plan anywhere this year. I was only able to get 6 done compared with the usual 25-30. Hopefully better this coming year.

I run 3 760 here in Alberta, ran a 8600 for a day , biggest improvement is the unloading auger, the 8600 though is an under power machine, runs out of power all the time, guys who run the 8700 said you don’t want less hp for sure

Ya compared to a 760 the power on an 8600 wouldn’t be a great comparison. Only sold 7500 and 8700’s here in Ontario. The price difference between an 8600 and 8700 wasn’t enough not to go to the bigger one.

The 8600 should be replaced by the 8900 , here in western Canada we could use most of the power of that machine

@@THEgenXFARMER They say we aren’t going to see it here in North America, but don’t disagree that you guys of any could use the extra power

This Talk of Power, makes me wonder How Well a 7500 would handle a 12 Row Corn Head & 40’ Draper? Or if I should Consider a Larger Model?

I'm a little bias but it should be the amazing parts support from the factory. Second to none on keep the farmers in the field instead of in the shop

Don’t disagree. But that happens with the yellow ones too.

At some point it be nice to know the price of these Lexion combines and associated heads...but further than that, how much acreage is required to pay for them....as there has been explosion in combine prices over the last 10 years . Are there any rules of thumb for combine payback?

I would love to do something like this. I just need to find someone willing to let me record the whole deal from start to finish so we can get some real data and hard facts. Maybe I should come down and see you Phil? 😂

Now how long could I run steady full speed on roads with the tracks before heating up?
@jeremynoble1452
@jeremynoble1452 3 года назад
I roaded an 8700 with no head on the front but my truck and 40 ft convio pulled behind it 130 miles. Took 3.5 hours roughly. I put some talc in when I left and continually ran the tracks in the dust on either shoulder a bit and they were fine when I got there.

Oh wow , that’s sounds fairly good for 3.5 hours ! Maybe I’ll have too consider buying tracks when buying a combine
