Thats not ok, shrouwehkuggah. Are u working in the press-business? Because your last clip is fake and let the people dont know, what really happened. here is the whole clip. he uses the arm and said, only with the hand it is very difficult. but he is clever and uses the arm. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gDODlPyc3KY.html
I don't think there is oscar for fight or action . He might not deserve in acting category but that doesn't discount on how legendary this man is . No worry there infact they honored with honorary oscar is great.
Breaking blocks without breaking the egg is quite possibly the most badass thing I've ever seen. And yet, totally unsurprised that Jackie Chan could do it.
I watched this during the live broadcast and I was just stunned that he could just break the concrete pieces himself. I think almost none of these guests have been able to do what the contestants of the shows were suppose to be doing.
Those cement blocks are probably much easier to break than you think. For one, they are heavy, and only supported at the ends. Second, cement is fairly brittle, and breaks under impact loads fairly easily without reinforcement. The big difference between the girl, and Jackie is that Jackie struck the blocks with his forearm, whereas the girl used her fist. In hitting the bricks with her fist, obviously more force was transferred to the egg, but also causes the fist to clench. By striking with his forearm, Jackie precluded the clench reaction, and lets the wrist compensate for the egg's momentum.
@@johndee759 I wasn't meaning to detract from Jackie Chan's skill and control. Dude is a legend for a reason. I probably could not do that demo myself right now. And that steel mesh would be the reinforcement I was talking about. Mostly wanted to point out the difference in technique that caused the woman to fail, while Jackie did it easily 3 times.
Everything from 80s and 90s was pure, authentic and magical nostalgic... Jackie Chan is one of these memories, adorable, unforgettable moments as kids to watch him doing his magic things... God bless you Jackie!
Except Jackie doesn't really do all his stunts.... It's all marketing... You can even see that it's not him doing the stunts in the bloopers the show at the end of the Jackie movies... He is also very pro Chinese Communist Party. Always supporting their agenda without questions or reservations. Of course, his movies are very fun. Also mostly very clean. Or relatively clean. As in rated E for everyone.
It's still magic when you are adult. Jackie made our lives so much better. Check out Martial Club here on RU-vid, the next generation, inspired by Chan, is taking over.
It was actually really interesting to watch that. The girl was hitting the blocks with her hand, which naturally caused the egg to shatter. Jackie was holding the egg in his hand, but hitting the blocks with his wrist, which I assume let him prevent the shock from travelling into his hand/the egg (not to mention avoiding crushing it himself).
That Steve Harvey clip goes to show that Jackie is a social dork who goes all-in, body movements and all, whenever something catches his interest and I love him even more for it. You can be known worldwide for being a badass fighter and still be a doofus like me or you and I find that inspiring.
All the time he broke his bones, suffered pains, faced even death only to entertain us... Oh God...LOVE YOU JACKIE...You are the hero Respect From Kerala ...
@@pacolesane2098 i don't think so... If anybody is offers me a million dollars and tells me to jump from a building to another one...i won't do that.. nobody will do that...🤔
@@manujshenoi2558 it was indeed for money at least at beginning and he got most of his injuries in earlier movies, he wasn´t born rich after all only after he became rich and famous he became more careful and stopped risking his life, he still did his own stunts and was getting injured but it was a lot less dangerous than his early movies probably isn´t afraid because he did more dangerous stunts in the past.
Breaking wide, brittle blocks suspended by their ends is a physics demonstration and a child could do it. You only need to crack the top one and the rest break from the kinetic energy of those falling from above accelerated by gravity. Dumb and completely unimpressive. Insulting, really.
@@DiffEQ a child could do that??? Are you out of your mind its clear that you don't know what you're talking about take a seat and leave it to the master
@@DiffEQYoure off on this one, the real challenge isnt about breaking the blocks but about not breaking the eggs, its a mastery of self control by Jackie Chan.
Drunken Master was the first Kung fu film I watched when I was 12. Loved all his films since. His fight scene with Benny The Jet in Wheels On Meals has to be my favourite fight scene ever
I've seen #1 live that day. As a child I always thought his Films are more Show than reality. That evening changed that completly. I was like: "Ok. No one should ever mess with this guy!"

No really blocks, but we'll go with that: Breaking wide, brittle blocks suspended by their ends is a physics demonstration and a child could do it. Oh man I love this guy I am a huge fan... We used to watch alot of movies back when we were young and have the best memories with the game Jackie chan stunt master on Ps1
In my childhood, Jackie was one the actors who I think can play Goku in a live action... I mean damn in his prime, he got the skills and charisma of a wacky annd beloved Kakarot💯
If you watch closely, Jackie broke those bricks using mostly his forearm rather than his fist. That’s how he managed to break those bricks without cracking the egg holding in his hand. Keep in mind that is still a rather difficult thing to do as a person normally has to tighten the fist a bit in order strengthen the muscle on the forearm just prior to hitting the bricks. So while the technique makes it possible to not crack the egg, it still takes an expert like Jackie to pull that off.
if you watch the whole thing he explains how he did it right after he breaks the bricks and makes it clear that he has basically cheated by using his head to solve it. He acknowledges that doing it with the fist is very hard. The girl wouldn't have done this bet if she wasn't able to do it the way she said she was going to do. But things like this are harder on stage and Jackie saying that he doesn't think she'll be able to do it, might have influenced her as well.
I have actually seen the whole thing. This was cut. Jackie laughs and showed the audience that he uses the base of his palm around his wrist to break the blocks. He didnt use his fist. And i think he signed pointing to his head like "be smart"
@@bulbasur7501 it is really impressive because he was only told to "Break the blocks while holding the egg in his hand" not break the blocks using the hand/fist that holds the egg.
What an awesome dude. Everyone has seen his American movies, but if you watch his old stuff, you will be mind blown. Just like with the egg. He's as amazing at kung fu, as he is likeable.
The thing is, the technology would have made him less impressive. They would have never let him do the things he did back in the 80's. It would have been full of cgi, clever camera work and stunt doubles.
Such a calm, cool, humble, simple and funny guy even though he has a big fame he never take himself great.... Jacky chan you are such an incredible person in every field. How lovely you are, we don't want you to grow older we wish you to be lways like this young forever making lots2 of comedy action movies without violence. God bless you
I laughed so much. Really Jackie Chan movies were televised in the 90s and very nice story told Jackie but not by one person but in a very interesting way the voices are very similar love from Türkiye Jackie ❤
I like this compilation. Unfortunately the #1 excerpt was cut heavily and didn't show an important part of the whole demonstration. After breaking the bricks Jackie did admit, that he actually used his wrist and part of lower arm to strike keeping the egg more safe than if hitting with just his fist. He said, he solved the problem with brain and muscle, not just brute force alone. You can see the full appearance here, but language is only in German. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NWsfP6Yv-uA.html (His demonstration starts about 12 minutes, 50 seconds into the recording.) Oh, by no means I want to dimish Jackies skill or demonstration. I am a fan of his art and movies. But he has the wit and charm as well, and by openly admitting he "cheated" a little bit, it makes me like him even more.
@@vyatranto Indeed, I was unsure if I should call it that, which is why I put it into quotes. ;-) Jackie's technique was definitely most suitable for this demonstration and still shows high skills not to tense the hand at the moment of impact.
Incase I was wrong, but That was the whole point of it right? I couldn't even scratch 3 bricks with or without egg let alone 2 stacks of 6. Not too mention he did it with a calm expression 😁
Jackie is so down to earth that he is one of the most likable actors out there. He treats his fans with the utmost of respect all while being incredibly humble
Watching the full version makes a big difference. He explains it while still being a showman. The closed captioning and auto translate works pretty well for English
They use inner bone of the palm. The one that tends to be dragged around when you're using desktop mouse. Pisiform bone? Idk what it is called. That made so he can just make a loose pocket in the upper area of the hand with his fingers to keep the egg from receive any force when contact and not actually grabs it. Using your forearm would actually breaks the arm not the tiles.
Mr. Chan has been my inspiration when I broke my collarbone few months ago, I said if Jackie broke all his bone on different part of his body and still continues to film then this single collar bone is nothing compared to that! I Got this!! I got better now thanks for that self empowerment haha
The anectod on Turkiye which Mr Chan experienced that only one person vocalize all people does not reflect the reality; this is so rare. I am Turkish, 58 y.old and I have watched thousands non-Turkish movies that people speak Turkish. But I almost never encountered with a situation like that. Furthermore, Turkish guys who give their sounds do sometimes better job than the original. This anectod must be exceptional. I admire and respect Mr Chan meanwhile.
I love how he treated Ellen's set. What no one understands is that he probably asked ahead of time if she was gonna want him to do a stunt instead of being caught off guard so he trashed the set. That was awesome.
In my opinion it's almost certain that the whole trashing the set but is scripted. Ellen had a sugar glass bottle ready to smash into Jackie's head, there's no way it would have been there if that's not preplanned. I think they're just acting that Jackie did that spontaneously.
