I love our awning and we have 2 pods on each end so our children and their partners can come with us. We use a mattress topper and a duvet which makes our bed so much more comfortable. The car is a great addition but we currently use our bikes to get us to local places of interest. Take care Gill

Yes mine is the tower, so it has shelves (like a mini oven) great to cook smelly food outside the van!!! Frozen oven chips are fantastic, rotisserie chicken, really good. Take care both x

Some good ideas - I ended up swapping out the Duvalay for a more home brew version but same principal so completely get how useful they are. You’re right on the TV/AV setup, it’s nice to have the choice to watch things isn’t it, know some people don’t have any interest in them, we do though and Firestick is very useful too. I’ve just bought an Air fryer and I use an electric hob because it’s been a struggle to get refillable gas. I also couldn’t go anywhere without my dog Coco, she is the most essential luxury.
I love your informative videos. We're in Australia and travel around in a 12.5m tag axle coach/motorhome conversion. With 1000L water tanks and ample solar we can be off grid indefinitely. Always keen to learn new ideas from others.

Do you free camping in the UK? Here in Australia there are endless places where you can pull up and stay as long as you want for free, as long as you're self contained. If you have enough solar, you never need access to 240v power.

The car is a definite luxury. We’re driving the motorhome and the car to the NEC as we don’t have Towbar on the motorhome but don’t want to drive back and forth from our campsite in the motorhome every day. 👍🏻
Some of my luxuries are the same as yours, Tassimo coffee machine , Duvaley, TV + fire stick, Wi-Fi set up and IPod. iPod because I couldn’t do without my audiobooks I have over 950. I don’t consider my dog & cat a luxury they are my family and my whole reason for having a Motorhome and not jetting off to the sun.
I’m not too bothered about Tv but WiFi is and that can be costly to set up. When we had the Chieftain a tow car was essential. We had a C1 that was geared up to tow, but now we have the V-line it’s not needed… However we struggle to find insurers to take it on because they see the car has been adapted for towing. And even though we have a conformity certificate they still won’t touch it, and up to now LV has been the only company which is rather annoying. I suppose from a selling point of view advertising it for sale as a tow car in right circles is the most practical way of dealing with it …
Of course. All motorhomes are based on vans. It's technically known as a MotorcaraVAN. Anyone with a motorcaravan, panel van, campervan, caravan is a vanner!
