Actually I find Circles to be probably, second to swimming, the easiest listen from Mac Miller because of the great variety and the lack of heavy songs.
@@urrakarodriguez803 lack of heavy songs? Idk about that. I think the heaviness is just hidden within because of the textures of the sounds and the overall composition. His writing is very dark and self conscious. That being said swimming’s writing is very dark too. I personally prefer circles over swimming. It resonates with me more. Even though swimming is a close #2.

Not a huge Mac Miller fan, but LOVE these more personal lists, hearing about how you discovered him etc. Music IS very personal so I wish ppl did that more

faces is one of my favorite albums of all time. easily mac’s best project imo. and the subject matter and message of that album only continues to hit harder as we move further and further on from his passing
mine are 1: Circles, It just has a special place in my heart. 2: Faces, pure art. 3: Macedelic, more pure art. 4: Swimming, even got a tattoo of the diver on my arm. 5: GO:OD AM, some of his best rap. My personal top five :)
GO:OD AM is my fav. The only time I’ve felt that “life-saving” experience from music. I was addicted to Perfect Circle/Godspeed in 8th grade and have truly fallen in love with the album since that Winter. I still listen to it start to finish almost every week and I’m 20 now
circles has been my favorite since it came out... the production is immaculate and the lyrics are, yes very sad but also very comforting. It speaks to me like no other music ever did.

RIP to an absolute legend. It's so true that many of us really grew up with Mac & learned to face the world with help from his words. Next year I'll be older than he unfortunately ever got to be, but I honestly don't think I would have made it this far without him & his art

There was a faces streaming option where you could listen to the entire thing as one long audio file and I’m pretty sure it was released by Mac that way so we could listen without ads 🥺
You should definitely give Circles more attention, despite it being really sad it's also absolutely beautiful in its own way. Really moving, just a perfect album. Second favorite album from Mac for me so give it a try !

Although you say you were sad listening to Circles, the album itself represents a more positive outlook on life. Swimming was a negative outlook, with Circles it describes Mac getting out of a rut and "coming full circle" if that makes sense. There was a third album planned, but it hasnt been released yet.
You are extremely charismatic, love just listening to you talk. Mac Miller is amazing, I think he has so much great songs and a lot of variety. You should check out some of his unreleased songs/leaks, there are a TON.
Circles is immaculate and definitely deserves a chance. There's significantly more singing in the record than swimming, and is much tighter and its just so much.

Imagine being around the same age as mac was like my age group was. We truly got to grow up alongside him it felt like. For us KIDS was high school for us. Blue Slide Park was freshman year college. Circles is a great project it’s almost like his goodbye it’s really hard to listen to trust me I cried a lot to like good news and everybody but my god it’s such a powerful record
It is NOT true that SoundCloud and RU-vid were/are the only ways to listen to Faces… not trying to potentially mess up a good thing but… the original mixtape (original samples and all) is STILL available for download on datpiff to this very day (5.3.2022).
