I’ve had my meta quest 3 for a month, pistol whip is the only shooter I have at the moment, I think it’s great, gets the heart beat going and love dodging the incoming slow mo bullets.
@@Kodenhoboldvrmy brother flips all sorts of electronics so I’ve used a lot, I’ll say it’s pretty good but I do think it’s preference , I prefer the quest 3 but to each their own ya feel me
@@KodenhoboldvrWell, the screens are a tiny bit better on the psvr2 and it has eye tracking with foveated rendering, so graphics are really nice, but the lenses are not quite as good as Quest 3 and most importantly the psvr2 headset only works when it's plugged into a PS5 that's running psvr games. The Quest 3 not only functions standalone with no wires, but you can use it as a pcvr headset as well, and even for that you don't need a cable if you have 5 GHz WiFi at home. On top of that, with a program called Sidequest you can make it so you can "sideload" games from sources other than official app stores. In short, the psvr2 has some great tech in it, but the quest 3 is much more versatile and cheaper if you choose the version with the tiny 128 GB hard disk (the slightly more expensive one has a 512 GB disk).
I have Breachers, Population One and Onward, and definitely Breachers has stepped up with the graphic upgrade, and playing it on the Quest 3 improves the experience a lot compared to the Quest 2.
@@bunnyt815 Gameplay-wise it would be Contractors. Contractors can pull of the more realistic gunplay like Pavlov etc. but with the slide cancels and all it's definitely more like a COD VR port from every other title in this video.
Yo Ik this comment is a little late but one of my favorite vr shooters is VAIL vr. It’s a fast paced competitive shooter with a (mostly) great community. There are a lot of game modes and weapon choices and all that but it’s definitely not for everyone :)
@@MISSIONVR It's a pretty small community so that makes sense, but don't let the graphics fool you; it's really addictive when you get into the flow of things.
Ghost of tabour is amazing however if you don’t have a pc your at a massive disadvantage on any map other then missle silo, however it is the only game I play atm and the reason I got back into vr it’s so addictive
Pavlov Shack should definitely be on this list. When you count the PC version, it’s actually been around longer than pretty much all these games. It is new to the official Quest store though.
I’ve played a lot of Pavlov. I just personally don’t think it’s anywhere near as good as people hype it up to be lol. Cod zombie maps were awesome tho!
Nowhere near as good as the the game on this list. Massively overrated, and I see this as an OG Pavlov player since the early CV1 days, hell I even played around the Pavlov e-sports scene for a short time.. the games development went the wrong way. It doesn't do anything better, or even as good as anything on this list. Tactical, you go with Breachers. Arcade you go with Contractors. You want mods? You go with Contractors
Which one should I get ? I just bought the meta quest 3 and haven’t even opened it yet because I’ve been working overtime trying to get back the money from the impulse buy 😂😂 but I want something similar to pubg... like a battle royal but nothing too “arcadey” the more “sim” the better.
i'll give you a list of more good games: into the radius, its stressful at times pavlov shack, its like counter strike bonelab, fun. tactical assault vr, unoriginal name, but it is what it is. hope you liked these
@@Castelanu91 all my games get really repetetive and setting up my vr is more of a hassle cause I play pcvr so flat screen is my go to now I still play bonelab and vtol vr every once in a while though.
These all look like great games, but maybe not appropriate for a newbie, like me. Can you recommend a maybe slower paced shooter for someone new to VR and first person shooters? Thanks.

I know. However, I think Pavlov is so weak compared to other shooters. The mods are great and zombies was fun, but I would never play Pavlov over contractors almost ever.
All good games! Into the radius I think is so good but was more of a survival shooter game. Vail, I am excited to see if they can make this game big time. Pistol whip is a great game! All good picks!
Zero caliber is a great pve and co-op shooter. Are you more interested in co-op? Or story? A lot of these games are multiplayer focused. If you are looking for a single player game that is a shooter. I really enjoyed Medal of Honor above and beyond. Story is a little campy but the experience for me was amazing!

I just bought a Quest 3. I have a access to a big Hall (Sportshall). I can run around there wearing my VR Glasses. Is there a shooter that you can recommend, where I can play against Bots, counterstrike style or Paintball style. A flat arena would be preferred.
Every game on this list is on standalone. If you get your son a quest 3 there are a ton of game options and you do not need a computer. However, if you do have a computer the quest 3 is capable of hooking up to it really easily to play PCVR games. Quest 3 is a great headset In my opinion. Just need some accessories to overcome some of its comfort limitations lol.
I got a question contractors looks very fun but do i need to hook it to my pc for the mods or is there an option on game i got 2 vr headsets one for pc other jus standalone but i kinda want to play with standalone with this game
Make sure you get a third party head strap the elite and the regular suck and if you get a third party headstrap some come with a battery so you can play for longer plus more comfortable with a better quality build
Where tf is vail vr, vail blows all of these other games completely out of the water and into space. I've played ever single one of these games and none of them can compare to vail.
I have breathing issues so I never have my mic on in multiplayer games and I would like to check Breachers out but I was concerned that I would need to be unmute in game, is it possible to play the game as a mute?
Onward awesome but the community imo kind of sucks. Most of the people are children who just feel the need to scream at you and tk you constantly its sad. Now the few of you out there thats more mature (as in dont tk and have fun) you are the only ones who get me to come back sometimes
Lol ghost of tabor does not look good at all. I dont play it anymore because it looks like ps1 graphics on the islands makes it dreadful to play. Plus hella bugs. It sucks because it seems like they wont update it even when official release.
stop crying. when you buy Ghost of tabor you get both Standalone and PcVr version. just play the pc vr version if you want good graphic ist much better!
