its crazy how expensive they are for how little they have to do, as opposed to other midi devices like keyboards and drum pad controllers. I have been wanting to experiment with arduino to midi. I think this is the perfect project to do that.

Hi mate, thanks for the video. I recently got the blackstar logic foot controller only to find out that the patch mode does not integrate well with ableton. I'm using a lot of neursal dsp's plugins and want to be able to change between presets using the patch mode, which then allows you to midi map it all internally within the plugin. Can you recommend a midi controller which would allow me to do this? I bought the blackstar logic with the understanding that it was the most integrated with ableton but was sorely disappointed. Would thoroughly appreciate any advice, thanks mate!

Thanks for your vid 🙏🏻 I’m a singer guitarist/ performer Currently I’m using a Roland kick pad to stomp four on the floor beats which is great for the velocity of the kick to match the changing dynamics of the songs In order to free up my feet for more looping I’m looking for a way to trigger My kick drum with tap tempo and control over the velocity/ dynamics Either via an expression pedal or have multiple velocities assigned to foot switches Most Daws can do this but I’m hoping to not introduce laptops to my rig Do you have any suggestions for a harware unit and midi controller that’s up to the task ?? Thank you Sorry for the long question!!

I guess a newb question but, can I use any of these just for standalone plugins? Or maybe better yet I should ask which of these would you recommend for a guy who just plays standalone guitar plugins at home and wants to switch back and forth between settings?

Hola, que tal? Me gustaría saber se además de todas las configuraciones de cambios de efectos, volumen, etc en Cubase, se podría también tener acceso a la sección de grabación como: PLAY, REC. ADELANTAR, RETROCEDER, MONITOR, BORRAR TRACKS ETC. Seria posible con el FCB 1010, para poder tener las manos totalmente libres para estar siempre en la guitarra? Esto para mi seria Super. As a guitarist I agree that the FCB1010 is still awesome despite its age, I wish Behringer would release an updated version with better footswitches and USB, like an affordable version of a Morningstar!, since they like to release affordable versions of more expensive gear, I even suggested to them to release a foot controller combined with an audio interface for a simple one-piece solution for guitarists live, they already have the tech to do a mini FCB1010 combined with a built-in uphoria interface !

Ableset is a dope plug-in to see the full setlist for keys players if you have your phone or iPad you can see and control it there

I don't understand why you pushed the mioXM thing so heavily because a USB extender is always going to work and you can easily get 30-50 feet on them? What's the difference between having a super long USB cable vs a super long ethernet cable?

I pushed the mioXM because in every case of bands/artists I work with that use USB extenders, they always fail :) mioXM doesn't. If it works for you great, but it's never worked for the artists I work with

I've got a boss katana 100 with the gafc with the katana librarian app for android, I'm after a midi controller just to toggle through the effects I like the airstep but it's Far to expensive

If you need expression pedals it's a great solution, I wouldn't generally recommend it for using tracks.

I literally just want a foot switch with like 4 buttons that send simple midi notes that can be programmed to any note. Does something this simple exist for way less than $300-$400???? That Oaktone for $400 is insane

The Floor Vista isn't a four button footswitch that sends MIDI notes. It's a simple, four button setlist management tool that syncs with Ableton Live and has a screen that happens to be a footswitch. I would NEVER recommend that to someone looking for a MIDI controller to control their pedalboard or looking for something to just send MIDI notes. Looptimus mini, MIDI baby are a few controllers I'd start to look at.

@@fromstudiotostage I’m using ableset for setlist management so I’m looking at just a foot controller that I can map to play/stop/next/prev. I ended up ordering the Hotone midi foot controller. Seems legit and is super cheap. Also, thanks for all the endless content and kindness. Your channel is an incredible resource and has been my roadmap when I was thrown into the fire this year running playback for my artist. So good
