Every year the Bajaj company used to post a letter saying that you have moved your number in that waiting list. There was license required to even have a radio in your home. Owning a television and fridge was a luxury. Yes I know that situation where citizen of democratic India had to wait for a telephone connection for 10 years. And mind you these were not exceptions. It used to be a norm. Owning a house and car was a dream. Having a cooking gas cylinder in your home was a tough decision and you had to run from pillar to post to have it installed. This is what Nehru’s so called socialism did to India while the elite politicians such as him and their families enjoyed best of both worlds educating their children in England and US while looting India to the fullest. Have you ever thought why Japan after World War II could get their act together and became economic giant and India with so much of area and population still remained poor within the same timeline? Just think and you will know the answer.
