Supermarket flowers got me straight away. The first time I heard it was on Christmas Day. Within an hour of hearing it I found out my nan had passed away. I never got to say goodbye to her. She had lost her memory because of multiple stokes on the memory part of the brain and because of dementia. At least she is in heaven now out of pain.

The first one, supermarket flowers, was covered at my school when a lovely man who was adored by all ended his own life.. I know how he felt and often days I struggle too. This was his favourite song and listening to it makes me cry but I stay strong for him.

When he sang for Christina Grimmie....wow. I mean amazing in every way. She was one of the people I grew up watching RU-vid covers of, and seeing her on the voice. And I even remember seeing their cover of that exact song. Sam that was beautiful. Rest in paradise beautiful Christina you are NOT forgotten ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am literally crying all through this. This is so amazingly emotional especially for me because firstly I am a singer-songwriter so I know how you guys are feeling.

This honestly made me cry, these artists have absolutely exquisite voices and these songs already made me a bit sad/nostalgic, but with the two combined... it's truly amazing.

Okay, I'm going to download Samantha Harvey's cover of Supermarket now.(She's one of my favorite singers from now on:)) Rip Christina Grimmie

I watch these kinds of videos when I am alone. My dad (4/9/12), nan (21/9/12) and grandad (16/12/12) passed away in 2012 when I was 14 and my other grandpa passed away march 2018 when I was 20, all of these songs had me in tears. I didn't get on or know my dad very well unless he was drunk, but his passing was hard especially since I was in foster care when it happened. And now I am living with my mum, I realise why my big sister left. She is so toxic and only cares about herself. She will only do something for you if it benefits her. 😢 I used to help look after my nan every weekend when my grandpa was tending his garden up the road, he loved his veggie garden. She used to love having banana sandwiches with the crusts cut off and if there was any banana left it would be on the side of her plate, I would have a banana sandwiche with her and her crusts on the side 😭😭 I miss her so much. (This is what my nan told me) My grandfather passed peacefully in his favourite chair, him and my nan were waiting for an ambulance to arrive and all of a sudden he says " Mary, you know that I love you right?", My nan turns to him and says "of course I do you silly sod, what are you talking about" my grandfather wasn't one for sentiment but he meant that, next thing she knows he smiles and nods at her and then he's gone. I didn't know him well, but I miss him. My grandpa got really depressed after my nan passed away and started drinking alot until it got so bad he was put in a care home (I didn't even know he wasn't really my grandpa, he married my nan after my grandfather passed away when my dad was a kid) I wasn't able to go and see him cause I was in foster care and he was too ill, I tried going to see him after I left care but his family didn't want my family anywhere near him. So I couldn't see him and when I was in a course I got a message from an aunt that I don't talk to that he passed away. Other than when my other grandparents passed away, I had never been so broken. 😭💔 I have always refused counseling and preferred to speak to people I know, so I went and saw my old tutor and we sat there and cried for a while. She understands me and has always been there if I needed a hand, so I am glad she was there. (Note: not looking for sympathy, just wanted to tell my story of heartbreak)

So many people covered songs in Christina's honor and I didn't even think that any of them would be in this video....what's wrong with my brain? Lol...but yeah...Just a dream got me crying...Christina was my hero, role model and singing inspiration. I am over crying my eyes whenever I hear her voice. But I found her through this song, so hearing it without her breaks my heart and whatever emotional healing I went through after her death is thrown out of window.
