I've been saying that the bamboo kit is perfect. There was a debate in the bamboo server of was s2 mk1 was better than s3 mk1 and s3 bamboo is so much better than the previous game. Ink pattern is further, aiming has less smoothing and the maps are more in favor of bamboo. It has a bomb that is actually USEFUL on it and the special is a great pressure tool and it's easy to combo from it.
wail used to be shit damage wise and it had 11 shots so auto was way less useful. Its also not fighting 3 crabs. It wasn't that bad but it was not good.
Glooga dualies are SO underrated imo. The main weapon bullies anything shorter range than it, wall helps it possition far more aggressively than it could without it and booyah bomb is booyah bomb, the special works on pretty much everything. Super underrated weapon that im kinda sad to see nobody talk about.
I honestly thinks it's because it's kit isn't as good. Glooga is a strong weapon, I've recently played it myself and it was fun. But Booyah has other weapons you could use like Aero, Hydra, S-Blast, and even the Forge Pro. It also could have something to do with the Dualies having a higher skill ceiling. Very aim intensive, I struggle with them a bit myself but they're fun. I can agree they're slept on. I bet if Deco is good they'll come back. Especially if the kit is Fizzy/Jet like people think
I think what I love so much about the Dread Wringer is it's so different to play. The constant flicking to get it to cover more turf is unique and fun to just, well, zone out with heh
Dread's second kit is gonna go crazy, I can just feel it. And Bamboo should never be slept on. They like to really mix up the kits on it each game and it has always found its place.
Between fighting them and playing them myself, I have to agree, all these weapons do feel underated. You know what else feels underated? The aggressive potential of Mini's first kit. I understand why, because Ultra Stamp's protection hitbox is a coin flip as to whether it works or not, (on top of the Burst Bomb nurfs hurting it immensely) but the kit works better than people give it credit for.
Been running QR/Comeback/Drop Roller on Dread since week 1, and I'm happy that it's finally gonna get the respect it deserves because you're posting about it lol
I use n-zap 85 on RM, cuz of it's kit. I also use ink saver main & sub + special power up on that mode, and I've won a lot of matches with those abilities and with the n-zap 85.
As a dread wringer player since it came out I'm glad it's finally beginning to get the attention it deserves. Here's hoping they don't fumble the second kit.
I’ve picked up dynamo ever since the buff and man, it feels so awesome to use. A sick buff for it would be if you can jump higher with it like the buff Undercover just recently got, and the vertical flick dealing more damage/removed from the game… the vertical flick is a curse in close quarters combat.
I think wiper is also pretty underrated, especially the base kit, for a lot of the same reasons as dread wringer. It can output some pretty decent paint, has a great combo sub, stupidly good mobility, can bully anything with a shorter range than it but can also go for a close-up oneshot against something like a blaster. The only thing that really weighs down the kit is stamp, and if stamp had front invincibility, it'd be pretty perfect imo
The reeflux 90 hit is so much more consistent now after its buff, I just wish it had a sub weapon that could combo off of it, or even a special like rain that could do that bit of chip damage. but i guess i'll just have to hope people run into a wall. or stub their toe on a curling bomb.
zmini is a weapon ive recently wanted to start pushing recently, since i used a lot of vanilla jr on release which fits a similar role, im realizing that zmini has some of the fighting capabilities that jr was missing inevitably making me start enjoying the weapon
Nova feels incredibly underrated to me. Granted yeah, the damage sucks and a lot of people think it’s just Aerospray Pro, but I truly think that it has some potential. With the right buffs (e.g. accuracy, movement, third kit, etc.) it could definitely be pushed up further in tiers/usage. Not to mention the kits aren’t terrible either. I really do hope that somehow I’m able to push it enough for people to see its potential 🙏🏻
I love playing Tri-Stringer, but I do switch over to the Reef-LUX from time to time. It's just so much fun and can splat really well! (If you can aim.)
Ive been playong around with the Zink Mini lately and its REALLY fun. Toxic mist is surprisingly effective to get backliners like chargers and hydras to move and the main weapon is probably the easiest Splatling to use with my playstyle! I love being a lil goblin
I think vimi is also pretty underrated Idc if stamp has some issues it still a fine entry special. Not even mentioning burst which just works so well with it
Chara: this is a list of weapons where I think the public perception of them differs a lot more from where I think they are. Also Chara: [proceeds to list a buncha weapons he’s been historically known for dunking on in his tier list vids & vods] Great video jokes aside
Glooga. Glooga has a god kit no duh, but it also has an okay two shot and as well as LONG dodge rolls. You can roll to cover pretty much anywhere if you need to because of how small the maps are, and the paint is actually pretty all right. I see this in mainly SZ mahi, because able to safely poke plat, and roll back to cover with out sacrificing good damage like DS does.
The main deal with bamboo is it has never had a bad kit. The worst possible kit was all the way back in splat 1 with splash wall wail. Even then, It was still really good. Not to mention Splatoon 2's godly kits
I feel like most of these weapons are mainly underrated due to poor kits (reeflux, mini, dread) that don’t either help the weapon itself, or are just a bad combo. But yea, I didn’t know mini was underrated, I personally hate fighting that thing lol.
Nice, I tend to periodically use 3 out of the 5 weapons here (Dynamo, Bamboozler, Dringer). My Dynamo dropped off for a bit, but I suppose I'll have to really re-look at the damage output.
Glueguns, I mostly pay duslies and shooters and I’ve always just ignored glueguns existence. Till today and my experience is really good the range is pretty good with solid 3shot kills. And the kit is amazing mostly becouse of the ink shower shield
honestly the entire stringer class just feels so slept on, tri-stringer r definitely a bit harder to learn and get good at (imo) then reef-lux's can be (the class itself is still pretty difficult) but I've 4* all the stringers and got to S rank with basically that class alone . It's in my opinion pretty much any weapon this game if you put effort into you can make it work (except for clash blasters, with all due respect I hate you all)
After the recent patch, I actually gave the gold dynamo a chance, not vanilla because i‘m no good of a support. I think, people need to give that weapon a chance, seriously, it‘s underrated
I wanna ask about a buff that was given to splatter shots it reduced RMG but what I think it has done is it’s kill radius was reduced fuel that the Splatoon two splatter shot has a wider kill spread
nah reflux deco is actually more underrated than regular reflux. Ppl instantly wrote it off when the kit was revealed in december saying wall and reefslider were bad and while that is the case for reef slider its not the case for wall. Reeflux weakest attribute is its fighting ability. The main reason for that is because its one shot isn't reliable. Meaning taking fights in a way is an RNG fest. Wall helps refluxes fighting capabilities because it allows it to miss more shots and not be punished for it. U get more chances at hitting the direct and since its accuracy did get buffed you probably won't even need until the wall runs out to secure the kill on someone.
has chara done a video on splatlings yet? would love to see how he'd rework hydra since I think both of its kits are really strong but the main weapon itself is underwhelming.
ProChara (then): The dynamo roller SUCKS!!! It's special doesn't apply to anything it needs, and the sprinkler is TERRIBLE in EVERYTHING. Prochara (now): The special somehow is EXACTLY what this weapon needs!!! This tiny buff makes this one of the best weapons!!! (Bit then never talks about the sprinkler) 😂
Zmini is the kit people talk about, but honestly why on earth do people not talk about vmini? It has BURST BOMB which covers its biggest weakness. Sure hammer isnt in top 5 specials, but it still can absolutely make some maps work and it is genuine one of the most insane weapons against certain weapons. I just dont understand why people still think its mid.
What if there was a new special that worked like perish song from Pokémon where pearl would come out sing a little song and then every player would die in 3 seconds
man i wish squiffer and l3 where on the list but the kits are just way too bad rn. I m really hoping to get at least a new squiffer or bambo kit. These extremely unique weapons really deserve it.
My own personal pick Slosher deco This weapon is BEGGING to be pushed as a slayer It just requires some training The combo of line marker and a direct Has some disgusting potential Sure Line marker is not exactly very strong right now Honestly it’s biggest problem is the lack of even slight aim assist on bounced shots and the fact that it’s hitbox doesn’t actually like up with the reticle by just enough that you can’t quite hit what you want with it Besides that however This thing has 2 massive bonuses Combos And range LINE MARKER LITERALLY OUTRANGES VANILLA CHARGER That and well it can bounce off walls… With this this weapon has the potential to be scary to fight against because you could just die even if you try to leave You aren’t safe backing up you aren’t safe behind a wall and if they hit you they know exactly where you are Then zipcaster, it has some issues But with proper usage I can see this being a force to be reckoned with in the hands of someone who knows what they’re doing It’s by far the best illustration of what marker COULD do if it was ever so slightly more consistently accurate
Slight correction I literally JUST tested it And it has more range than E-liter Like You know how the ammo knights training room has distance markers? Yeah E-Liter is 8 units exactly Marker is like 9.5-10 units Like it’s difficult to measure it because you barely have space in the room to measure it It’s range is ridiculous
I my opinion OCTO brush Nouveu I spelled it wrong, is actually so underrated and a secret high tier. I’m S+ 6 and its Carrying most of my matches along with stamper and carbon roller deco
5:33 Not a whole lot of bamboozler players are on it rn for two reasons: 1) pencil go brrrrrr 2) The mk.I kit has a very low level of interactivity that, while still being really good, doesn’t have as much of a fun factor. Like how spla2n mk.I was meta, but had all the flavor of boiled chicken in white rice. On the other hand, mk.III didn’t have missiles, but just had the entire bottle of seasoning added, creating one of the most fun and effective kits in experience. It truly was golden.
Bamboo isnt as comparable to writer in the role it plays. Its able to flexibly move into positions and kill quickly and aggressively and isn't forced to anchor, though it has the range to do that. My hope for the 2nd kit is a good bomb, preferably cheaper one and something strong like zooka or jet. 2nd kits traditionally have gotten mist though so we'll see...
@@scythear It def. has a different playstyle, but since NA has been chugging cooler/zooka meta for the past 9 months, it’s difficult to get the ball rolling in a match (but it is possible). And even if you can consistently do well with bamboo, people just want you to play pencil so they can play whatever 🥲
I pretty much entirely disagree with Dynamo. I don't really think it will ever reach any of the high tiers of competitive play unless it becomes unhealthy levels of overpowered.
