Honestly just having power folding log trailer rear sections is a common sense thing that should have been in Snowrunner right from the start of the logging update.
well, I tried a mod with folding trailer in snowrunner and one time it glitched on me so bad that I was forced to recover the truck...I think that could be the reason why they didn't added them.
The reason it probably glitched out was not just because of the concept, it was more or less the fact that almost no one has done it. Which in return means there’s no information of how to do it right or wrong. Sorry for bad grammar.
i use the ural 4320 pack as well as the maz pack from rsk... they both have folding log trailers and I had no glitches or bugs while completing the logging missions for michigan, alaska and wisconsin... It really made logging fun for me tbh :D
@@danielziebell4528 Yeah...I had a bug with Ural 4320 with folding cart...It's ok when it's unfolded but this one time when it's folded it glitched inside truck...I was also winching other truck with it when it was folded so that might be reason..but after trying my best to unglitch it I ended up recovering in garage...I even tried detaching it but it's no good.
And they should add back the logs from Mudrunner... the long logs in SR looks like medium logs in Mudrunner :| It's kinda annoying IMO. The long logs in Mudrunner were way cooler.
I once saw a mod featuring a tracked truck in Snowrunner. I think tracked mods were abandoned after that, too difficult for Snowrunner to handle or something. There IS a tank mod, but the front and back wheels are basically dead axles and theres no tracks. Just happens to look like a tank
About the caterpillar, I remembered there used to be a project in workshop of SR, but it didn't seem to last long or get actual progress before get abandoned. About the Oshkosh, I guess it's probably due to 4520, which is another Oshkosh, and with 8wd. So instead of make another 6wd Oshkosh, there are tons of enhanced 4520.
That concept was similar to mod I shown before caterpiller and Derry 4520 is too much modified IMO..I mean there's a very detailed version of real life ANK also so why not oshkosh
@@blockstacker5614 4520 is like F750 when it first appear. Maybe better a little bit. The pain of running American-only fleet is there is no decent high-saddle heavy hauler.
@@pqhkr2002 the western star twin-steer is also a mess, it has way too few add-ons and it should have a deployable 5th wheel. the cover the fifth wheel is stowed under is in-game already but it cannot be unfolded.
William is right, snowrunner's physics are a lot more rubbery than mudrunner amphibious vehicles are possible in SR but they require hundreds of wheels to float and more to actually drive tracks would just break the game and powered trailers while possible would be very unstable
Fantastic mods I would like to see in snowrunner: 1. 2005 Dodge Caravan with mud tires add on. 2. A 50 ton western star tow truck that can be decked out with lights. 3. Excavator with log picker upper. 4. 1 Ton Tow trucks (Chevy and Fords) includes stealth pickup truck repo style 5. Jamie Davis Rescue 120 These are great mods guys, they be alot of fun in snowrunner.
Awesome video bro! That gave me so good old nostalgic vibes of MudRunner now I wanna try it out. How to download and install this mods on PC? I always played it on Console now I am on PC
@@SD1ONE, I've used the console version, the KMZ-700, and it was pretty awesome. It's got a couple issues though. Minor: Rough handling. It takes practice to drive it effectively. Major: The arm for the log loader is too short and can't effectively reach over the log frames/trailers. I had to employ the use of the Ramped Trailers mod so I could actually load my trailers. However, RNG recently put out their own loader and its arm is long enough to reach over the trailers without needing a ramp. It's also easier to drive. Although the KMZ-700 had better controls in my opinion. The KMZ-700 was still fun and I'd maybe use it again if we could get better ramps.
Even tho im late Missed one special mention ... useless cars in mudrunner can go more than 20ft away from their location lol. Great video might try out mudrunner after I finish snowrunner ..yea I'm backwards too
the spintiresmod tracks are honestly the best working caterpillar tracks I have seen in any game, which is not something that I should be saying. the quality of tracks in so many other games is abysmal.
The reason is that in the SpintiresMod the tracks are actual physical objects in the game engine, in other games, like say War Thunder or World of Tanks, they are just meshes, and the working of the track is only simulated. That's probably why they are so buggy in Mud Runner, it's very hard to simulate tracks in a game.
Snowrunner needs more geographic locations. Sand desert like Arabia or Africa with military contracts. Australian offroad hell with epically longest roadtrains. Western Europe with european legendary rigs like Scania, Volvo trucks, Magirus-Deutz, Mercedes Benz trucks.
Late.. but I not too long started SR and let me tell you ...the amount of times I wished that was a thing. I guess they have that in mudrunner. Instead of me fishing around L - or + I could just throw it in 2nd
The original author who posted the Zil 137 wouldn't fix or update it. So, I kind of took over the project early on in ST. Then ported the Zil 137 to MR as the Mud Runner Edition. I have never played SR so I don't know what's required to port it to that game.
There are so many things Snowrunner doesn't include that you would figure would be obvious, it makes you wonder what they're thinking. No north American trailers for the north Americans trucks, you can't put the back of your log trailer on your truck, scout trailers lacking a repair kit, etc. Just bizarre.
No offroad tires for trailers, ability to pull than one trailer as well. Just seems like they left lots of stuff on the cutting room floor or past games.
How do the tracked mods work? Can you or have you made a video to explain this? I know I`m STILL playing Mudrunner, but it for me is a classic, and one of my favourites of the Spintires series.
@@SD1ONE Ok, actually the modification with caterpillars is interesting, but due to the bugs with launching vehicles into the air I personally would not install it.
nope...Derry 4520 is based on older model of Oshkosh I shown in video...Also Derry is little too modified from front and lacks military colours...The one I showed in video is 6x6 I think or atleast it comes in 6x6 configuration as well....so they can co-exist with each other
Yeah, but It was the one with big tracks...the one I showed were actually usable in mudrunner maybe because of small track size but they were fun to use
Yeah as some things from limes or frog for example are op but some ar not there is some ural packs which are not op but have good features like the folding log trailer as a trailer to attach
I don't know...hard mode is kinda upto you for most part...if you don't want to recover than you can choose not to similarly for repair and refuel... It's not like physics of game is changed to hard or something...hard mode is just to make you pay for everything and manage your money more carefully
One year later… we got to many scouts we don’t need boats!! It’s Snowrunner not snowfloater!. You forgot frame flexing! Snowrunner trucks drive like bouncing balls.
