Top 5 Must-Watch Terrible 4K’s: But The Dolby Atmos Sound is Incredible!

Godzilla vs. Kong is a verifiable 9 channel bed layer Atmos soundtrack with front wide speakers. Rarely do we get Blu-ray Ultra HDs with 9 channel bed layer. Most are 7 channel bed layer.

Spot on with Midway - I wish they had put more effort and not gotten lazy with such heavy CGI but damn it does sound FANTASTIC!

Got a chuckle out of me with Moonfall. Got that one myself. For me, top dumb-good movie is Pacific Rim in 3D. I'll never forget the look my son gave me while watching it.

Great video! As difficult as it is to say, all of these movies should be owned by anyone with a decent home theatre setup. These movies start as terrible status on a tv and become reference level demos on a good system that will bring a smile to your face. Great list, I own them all and am looking forward to watching moonfall on my system for the first time.

Jurassic World Dominion is the only Jurassic Park film I didn't see at the theater. I could tell how poor it was and had to miss out.

Hello! I really like your channel! I would be curious, maybe in a future video, to find out your opinions about Dolby Surround and Neural:X up-mixers for movies. Do you use them for movies without Atmos or DTS:X? If so, which do you think is better? Which one do you like more? I personally use the upmixers for any movie/tv show that doesn't have Atmos/DTS:X because they make the experience much more immersive compared to if I listened only on bed layers speakers. Preferably, I like Neural:X more..

I was thinking of getting Midway on regular Blu-ray as it carries an Atmos track too. On my 43" Philips set the CGI might look preferable to that of the 4K version?

Do you have streaming services fed to your home cinema? Would love to see you do a review of how the Atmos sounds for something like Stranger Things Series 4 or some of the other Netflix shows or movies or maybe one of the DisneyPlus shows.

Moonfall is my Atmos demo movie, all the space stuff and the eruption at the end are very immersive even on my Atmos soundbar. It is rather large and I have the surround speakers just higher than ear level angled downward. My theater room is set up perfectly, low ceilings and s wall on each side so everything is symmetrical

If you didn't mention moonball, I was going to suggest it lol but I love it so much.

Yeah, I'm wit u on those 5. Excellent Demo movies for sure. But not a contant repeat watch. U should check out Geostorm & The 5th Wave.. Neither is 4k or Atmos but their DTS MA is Top Notch....

Despite all the evidence to the contrary, there are movies that are so incomprehensibly bad that they end up being hilariously funny. Not that you'd ever consider re-watching them ( unless you substitute their soundtrack with something like "Atom Heart Mother")

I found a lot of movies remade in 4k don't have Dolby Atmos??? Jurassic world domination wasn't that bad especially when he was being chased on motorcycle throughout the streets by the Raptors. But to me without Back surround and top Atmos speakers your truly missing out on the real surround sound. My setup sounds a lot better when I added these speakers.

Midway was the first thought I had when I saw the title lol. What makes it crazy is a lot of the stuff that really happened is in the movie, but it just looks so artificial. Amazing 4 channel overhead usage, most movies use 2.

As it can change both the perspective between users. For me, Moonfall was one of the best movies of that year, and one of the worst sounding, But hey, there's nothing set in stone 😅😅

Well done. All those movies looked horrible....I own Midway. It was ok, but it was definitely not good. Monster Hunter. Im doing it. Should be $5 on eBay.

Did you Knew that the dampest movie you post in this video have a lots of Atmos signal that making it enjoyable to watch and ear in a proper Home Theater set up , other than that this movie are made for Entertaiment purpose only not for win a Oscar

Gods of Egypt (2016) is another example of terrible movie and amazing sound!

Movies these days really are pure stupidity. They really are lucky they sound and look great otherwise they wouldn’t make a penny out of us

Id haft to kick Jurassic Park to te top of that list. It was soooooooooooooooooo stupid. I rank it higher just because of the pedigree of the franchise. This could be even worse than Jurassic Park 3, lol.
