Yeah, but his point is that it's linear- I would love something with the plot levels of a Mystery Dungeon game but with a story where your choices matter- it could even only have one true ending, or endings that, while different, all end up leading to the same overall situation- so yes, I am talking about an Explorers prequel.
I'm amazed there is not a spot for a farming Pokemon game on the comments even, like Story of Seasons or Harvest Moon series for a more casual relaxing game play where you whatever your want. Where you could be a breeder where you could hatch variants of pokemon and grow berries or beans and cook them into things where you gain money to develop your farm and city with an array of neighbours which you can socialize, gifting them things they'd like, like a fire trainer adoring fire stones from the mines. There are mines for evolution stones and other quirky items where you need at least one Pokemon to fend yourself, there is also a bunch of festivals based on Jirachi's star festival it's based on or contests with mini games and a simplified fight system. There would also be fishing and foraging around the wilds maybe sort of a la PMD style places(The mines in HM were like that). A bunch of ways to costumize your dream poke farm like ; )
If there's any spinoff worth mentioning, it's Pokemon Colosseum and its sequel, Gale of Darkness. It's the core Pokemon formula, but with interesting twists on the rules like the Snagging mechanic and the existence of Shadow Pokemon.
Something that could be interesting: A metroidvania-style Pokemon game. Instead of unlocking new skills or tools, you get access to more Pokemon (one of each type, specifically a three-stage evolution line). Each Pokemon can be used to overcome a few kinds of obstacles, some being more puzzle-oriented, some superior platformers, some better for battle. You can only ever have 6 with you at any given time, and you can swap out your team at given spots, having to plan around what you'll want to bring into a given area. To make the swapping less tedious, there should probably either A) not be a leveling system, and you instead make your Pokemon stronger by giving them level points / evolution items you find in the world or B) be a level-sharing system of some kind. The bosses in the world should probably be a legendary of each type. -Except there's -*-still no proper poison legendary-*- (as I do not count plated Arceus or ultra beasts).- (There's a poison legend now!) And maybe a type-switching Arceus as the final boss.
Why no Ultra Beasts? Nihilego could be really cool as one of the last bosses. And the psychic one should be either Deoxys wich can change between his forms or the Lake Trio, and you have to beat all 3 of them at the same time.
A spin off that I’d love to see is a Persona-esque game where over the corse of the game you get a party of people who are proficient with one type of Pokémon and you can rotate them out, but you still get the chance to bond with them outside of the missions. They could even reference the other occupations in the Pokémon world. Like the could have a Ryuji like character to competes the the Pokathalon, a Rise or Kanji like coordinator, a Chie or Akihiko like ranger, a Rise/Fuuka/Futaba support character that’s the professor’s assistant, and even a Yukiko like kimono girl from Johto. You could have moments outside of battle for character development and shenanigans. Plus the scene where the persona evolves is when the Pokémon evolves (maybe have most of the Pokémon evolve through happiness?). Long story short, I loved Pokémon colosseum and Persona and would like a game that includes the darkness, heart, and humor of these games.
That honestly surprises me. With how much thought you put into characters and story and your research into different mythologies for your regional videos, I think the Persona series is honestly made for you. I highly recommend them. They have such a nice balance between both the good and evil the world has to offer. Plus they are character driven stories with a strong focus on the bonds between people. Also there are Persona rhythm games. They are cheesy and delightful.
I really want to see something along the lines of PocketMonster Hunter. You’d essentially fight massive pokemon alongside smaller pokemon and capture them using ‘Capture Weapons’. It would take a certain amount of ‘damage’ in order to capture the pokemon, similar to how in the Ranger series a certain number of loops are required.
Pokemon Gladiators - A game which brings back the idea of Pokemon colosseums but the game mostly takes place in a large, Colosseum similar in size to the one in Rome. The player is a Pokemon Gladiator, a trainer who battles for a crowd as a profession and depending on their success, they can gain new Pokemon and of course, get more money. Pokemon: Team Magma - A game which you play as a Team Magma member, allowing you to see the behind the scenes preparations and actions and assist in them. Pokemon: Team Aqua - A game which you play as a Team Aqua member, allowing you to see the behind the scenes preparations and actions and assist in them.
I thought about putting that on the list (like a lot haha), but I feel like maybe the next Animal Crossing could just include some special "Pokemon Villagers" in it (like what they did with adding in Wolf Link/Pig Ganon from Zelda into New Leaf)
Mr Buddy That sounds more logical. I think they will be amiibo locked. But it would be awesome to have some Pokémon Villagers. I love the wolf link design.
There was some art done on Amino on how the Pokémon characters would look like if done in Animal Crossing style! Don't remember where it is, you know...
Pokemon X Ace Attorney. I'm really awaiting Detective Pikachu, but expanding the concept could be really cool. Even more if the judge is Arceus itself. There's so many ways it could become crazy fun.
I want a pokémon ninja/stealth action game similar to Tenchu, Shinobido, or Metal Gear Solid that stars Koga and Janine as leaders of a pokémon anti criminal team task force. You would go through numerous environments and would gain numerous pokémon with specific skills that would help you achieve mission objectives.
I thought it would be interesting to see a Pokemon game where you run a daycare center. I realize this is something that could be pretty decisive in terms of having a fan base within the Pokemon community, but I really would like to have a game that doesn't focus on going out to fight and catch pokemon and instead look after and care for them. It could even have a system where you can sync up to a network and allow you to care for the Pokemon of other players. Alright, brace yourself, this might get a little fanfictiony for a bit. The game could start out with your character (you choose a guy or a gal at the game's beginning) getting a note saying that you inherited an old family care center, which so happens to be an older designed building that used to act as a Daycare center for pokemon but was forced to close its doors due to everyone in the immediate area deciding to up and move away in addition to the area not getting a whole lot of visitors the area. But now, in the modern era, there's a booming population a stone's throw away from the complex and the mayor of the town wants to buy up the land. In fact, the mayor was the one responsible for notifying your character of their ownership of the old daycare and wants to purchase it from you for what she claims is nothing more than city expansion reasons. But your character has a little-known ability that has always helped them out, they can tell immediately when someone isn't being honest with them. Not to mention your character hasn't really had any ambitions regarding life as a trainer, and has been feeling pretty aimless before coming to learn they actually own this old daycare center. So, you decide to fix up the daycare center and get it back up to running standards, along the way you find a young pokemon (a little personality test, not unlike the kind you take in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games) lets you know what pokemon this is, and said Pokemon becomes your first partner pokemon for the game. After getting the daycare up and operational you decide on a name for the daycare and have to go and stock up on supplies for caring for the pokemon that will ultimately end up at your center before you can actually open your doors for caring for the pokemon. Lots of things need be considered, aside from getting food that is suitable for the different pokemon types you'll also be required to have play and exercise equipment to ensure they aren't bored, spend time interacting with them to keep them social, keep your medical area up to code and perform regular health checks to make sure they are fully healthy, have a fully stocked kitchen so you can properly feed all the pokemon, and so on. You could also go out and find wild and/or abandoned pokemon and bring them back to the daycare to care for them and have more pokemon to help with the tasks. As you progress through the game, after fixing up the daycare, you can also upgrade it with new features you think would help out. Maybe there's a small pond on the grounds that you decide could be expanded into a stream or lake for Water-types and those that live in aquatic environments. Maybe you'll expand onto the roof to the point you have a series of belfries for housing Flying-type pokemon. There's a lot that can be done with the whole running a daycare center theme, but chances are Game Freak and Nintendo won't go this route on account that it does seem to come off as a bit too niche.
Personally I believe these are some genres or spinoffs that Gamefreak REALLY should explore... An Hero Shooter featuring Pokemon. Imagine in first-person, your Pikachu using quick attack to dash and using thunderbolt to strike at your enemies OR your in third-person and your Blastoise aiming your cannons from cover and shell-dashing away from an enemy Voltorb rolling towards you. A Pokemon racing game. Honestly, I am pretty surprised Gamefreak haven't really explored this genre. This honestly seems like something they could've experiment with on the SNES. They've had mini-games and the "meh" Pokemon Dash that murdered so many DS screens but they've never really had a true Pokemon racing game that rivals Mario Kart. I think it would be really interesting since it would be a racing game across different terrain and it could even be pretty hilarious actually. Here's my idea of a Pokemon game. You choose three "karts", them being three Pokemon for three different tracks. Land, water, and sky. For the first one you choose Pikachu as your first racer on land. When you get to water, you choose Tauros, yes Tauros, using his tail like a motorboat competing against Rhydon surfing on the water. Then when you get to the air, you choose Golurk of all Pokemon and blast off through the skies competing against a Dodrio flying like a helicopter with it's three heads. A Pokemon stealth game. I honestly kind of find it weird that Nintendo have almost NEVER explored this genre. Nintendo is known for smart design and platformers, and most stealth games are built around smart design and platforming... so it's kind of weird that Nintendo has barely touch this genre. That being said, I think it would be pretty interesting to see a Pokemon game built around stealth. A Openworld Real-time Action-Adventure game built by Monolith soft. I'm going to be honest. I really thought the idea of a real-time action adventure game would not work with Pokemon until I saw Xenoblade Chronicles 2 where you collect different swords, which are basically the "Pokemon" of that world that and a lot of them can fit on the screen. I think it would be REALLY fascinating if Monolith Soft decided to make a Openworld Pokemon spinoff, not a main series title, a spin off with real-time action. Honestly, if they can put nine characters on-screen I think it would be pretty easy for them to put triple battles too. A sequel to Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness. I don't know about you guys but I think there were some hints of the Pokemon Colosseum series being a trilogy. In the first Pokemon game, it's revealed that the head of Cipher really wasn't the head of Cipher and that later lead to a sequel. In XD Gale of Darkness, Ardos, the son of the head of Cipher, declares that Cipher isn't dead and intends to keep it alive. I think the guys behind Colosseum and XD intended to make one more game after XD with Ardos being the third big villain. Or maybe I'm just overspeculating things ha ha.
Here's my premise for a Pokemon spinoff: Giovanni has disappeared. Team Rocket is divided into splinter groups vying for dominance. As a recently recruited grunt, will you turn a new leaf with your friend or will you take control of your own Team Rocket cell, unite the various factions, and restore Team Rocket to glory? (I imagine the spinoff will borrow elements from the XCOM as you takedown/takeover former Team Rocket groups and defend your territory from other rival groups. Alternatively, the game could mimic the Yakuza games and make things more dramatic and personal.)
I just gotta say, I always enjoy your content because I feel like we have such similar mindsets when it comes to pokémon. not the same ideas per se, but we appreciate similar aspects of the franchise and recognize its potential to be something beyond what it currently is :^) anyway, what I want from a pokémon game, core series or spin-off, is a game where you actually have choices that affect the outcome. similar to your last idea here, but I just really want some weight in my playthrough. I need a narrative and I need consequence (and subsequently, more interesting replayability). I know it's a kid-centric franchise in terms of gameplay and narrative, and I have no issues with the current formula, but dangit sometimes a fella just needs something a little spicier! let me choose my trainer class and shape my tale around that. let me join the evil team. if I lose a battle, it's lost and the story progresses (or ends) accordingly. I'm no game developer so I can't say for sure how any of this could actually be implemented, but if I'm being honest, the current baseline plot of "you're the new kid in town, now become the BEST kid in town" is so stale to me. I still have fun playing the games, but I try to make my own "headcanon" tales while playing now to keep my interest. ...also, I would love a game where you fight alongside your pokémon. way more interesting than just sitting back and spewing orders. okay I'll stop blathering on and on now
Another fantastic video from this channel. And I wholeheartedly agree that an FE/Pokémon spinoff would be AMAZING! Also, stop apologizing for things that sound "fan fiction-y" to you, Mr. Buddy. Your ideas are very creative and fun; and not all fanfics as a whole are bad. ((As you have proven with your telltale game example))
I was thinking of something along the lines of “Pokémon idols” which focuses more on Pokémon showcases and contests from the Pokémon RS and DP, and even from the anime. You could set up your own show and get new Pokémon along the way, or it could just be a simple rhythm game, but I think the first idea would be more interesting. Anyway you could compete against different idols and become the top idol. The creative mechanics would be similar to “Miku Miku dance” where you could choose from many different poses and renders to create your show. You’d most likely partner up with a cosplay pikachu, but it’d be more customizable. You could meet up with other idols along the way.
We all know the reason why you want a Pokémon X Fire Emblem game is to have a Lucario love confession scene, no need to be ashamed. ;) Though seriously I still need to finish Pokémon Conquest at some point and I love strategy RPGs.
Wow... I really LOVE your idea for the Telltale game :D And I'm also an aspiring author, and a huge fanfiction lover lol You should totally write it down... I'd read it ^^
Your story for the Telltale Pokémon game has me completely sold on the idea. If there's one thing I love about your content, it's the stories you come up with
I definitely want a telltale pokemon game! Story driven games are great, and I love nothing more than exploring possible background characters and lore, it would be the perfect fit for me.
I was thinking for some time about a pokemon game where the protagonist in the original games stopped his journey midway through which Resulted in them not stopping team Rocket and team rocket taking over kanto and johto. The game would play years after that happening and the player being part of an underground group tries to overthrow team rocket. To do this the player has to find 5 gems and wake up the three legendary birds in this alternate world. There would be also a new battle mechanic as team rocket forbid everyone that isn't in their army to have pokemons other as for tools or maybe pets. I know it's kinda a weird idea but i dunno Maybe I watched too many alternate history videos
A Pokemon and Shadow of Colossus game: you play a Pikachu who battles giant Legendary Pokemon in a similar style to SoC while you go on a journey to rescue your younger sister, a Pichu. By the end of the game you evolve into a Raichu and aquire a small group of allies you can temporarily switch into in and/or out of battle, like Arcanine for traveling and Hakamo-o for destroying obstacles. Obviously Mewtwo is the final boss. There are no type advantages.
And here I am still waiting for Pokemon Pinball Diamond & Pearl ;O; In all seriousness though.. your "story-based" Spin-off made me think of something interesting... combining PKMN and Golden Sun. I have to give this some proper thought though lol
In other news; I need a remaster of Pokémon Snap or a sequel. I f**king love that game I’d also love a Pokémon platformer, sometimes looking down on the avatar annoys me. Also.. where’s our VR Pokémon main game! lol
Now a PokemonKart game would be amazing. Playable characters would probably be: pikachu, lucario, charizard, mewtwo, jigglypuff, greninja, lycanroc, clefairy, gengar, garchomp, croagunk, infernape, krookidile and maybe humans like red.
Paul Grote Beverborg Some possible tracks would be: Ultra megalopolis, vast Poni canyon, n’s castle and Ultra space (ultra warp ride background) similar to rainbow road
You should totally do a video about your possible "Pokémon : The Telltale Series" ideas. I myself find this concept interesting, but the thought *never* occurred to me until you brought it up as your Number 1 Spin-Off. Be warned, though, Telltale's latest games have been pretty dark... They would probably try to put as much mature and dark themes that an E or E10+ rating would allow. And considering that the actual Pokémon games have things such as Ghetsis (a dark villain even when other more serious Nintendo Franchises (such as Metroid, Zelda and Fire Emblem) are taken into account), Giratina (the Pokémon equivalent to SATAN), Lusamine (the very reason why Sun and Moon were compared to Kill La Kill), the Mother Marowak's ghost, Lavender Town, the Old Chateau and *everything* about AZ and his backstory, it's quite a *lot!* Here's a few ideas on how the idea you brought up could go (assuming it's one of those multi-branching games like the Telltale Batman game) : Clark will not necessarily find out about the Grunt unless he specifically investigates on her. If he finds out, he can either report her or keep her secret. And he can either tell her he knows or don't tell her regardless of whenever he reports her or keeps her secret. Depending on how they interact, she'll either quit Team Rocket or stay with Team Rocket. If she stays, it can result in a reverse version of the ending of the "Vigilante Joker" route of Batman (with Clark now aware that she's been using him to get what she wants, asking if, at any point in the whole ordeal, she ever considered him as a friend).
I wanna see a Pokemon Mario Party style game. Also, I think another possible plot for a telltale style game could have you start as some none battler with some pokemon, and get wrapped up in battling an evil team alongside Looker, similar to Emma from the XY post game. You could also have a story set in Hoenn and have the opening portion meeting and helping Looker after he lost his memory and washed up at the battle resort.
I'd love to see a Pokemon kart game. Mario Kart is my favourite party game and Pokemon my favourite franchise, so seeing those come together would be a dream come true.
A game similair to LoZ would be cool. Just imagine the possibities for boss fights. Here is one of my ideas: Rotom You encounter it in a factory. When you aproach it, it hides into one of the 5 devices around the battlefield and turns into that form. You can only attack it when it is in it's normal form. Here are the attacks: Fire: It shoots fire and electric beams (wich are faster). Water: It creates fountains that push you up to an electric ceiling. Grass: I don't know. Ice: It makes the floor slippery and shoots lightning at you. Flying: It creates wind wich pushes you to the electric walls so you have to run to the other side, but it also shoots electric beams. Ghost: It floats to one of the 5 devices.
Top down strategy games based on the great Pokemon war (just to get some more lore) I would like some kind of monster Hunter a little Pokemon battle big Pokemons Pokemon Snap 2 but as a sandbox or make by pokekellz a game where you play one of the evil teams
buddy: brace yourself, because i'm gonna get fanfictiony me: immediately is 50% more hype for the idea than i initially was (personally, i'd love a story-based game set in orre, because goshdarn do i miss that region. i want more orre games. let me steal pokemon again dangit)
Digi- Pokemon: a cross over game combing Pokemon & Digimon, a maybe mix of Cyber Sleuth style and regular Pokemon style, but allows you to go back and forth with evolutions
What makes Number 4 even more unlikely is the status of the Paper Mario Franchise. Unless, of course they have the stickers/cards/whatever items they use serve as either the Pokémon and/or their Moves (Pokémon don't need to *learn* a Move to use it, they only need the sticker/card/whatever with the Move to use the move, but only a Pokémon who *can* use the Move in the main games can use it). Though I don't know if that's what the fans would want.
For me I would want a Pokemon Monster Hunter game, or an Animal Crossing Pokemon game, the Gym Badges in the latter could literally be the badges in Animal Crossing, and certain Pokemon fit roles of the shop keepers really well, like Eevee for Isabelle, or Skuntank for Kicks, it would be a really good fit.
What about a spin off where you're an assistant to a Pokemon Breeder facility? It'd have gameplay mechanics similar to dinner dash where you have to rush about to care for the Pokemon, set up eggs and make sure those Rapidash get placed in the outside pens before cleaning their stables! Starts off easy, just heating up eggs... And by the hardcore level you also have to talk to trainers!
For pokemon conquest 2, here is my idea for a setting: the 3000 year old Kalos War where you might be able to Floette the eternal Flower. Then you get killed. Play as AZ nuking both armies with the ultimate weapon filled with rage. The more kingdoms you destroy, the higher the distrust rate floette gets. If you only destroy warring kingdoms and no innocent kingdoms get nuked, the more empathetic floette was to leave out if shame instead of hating AZ as much.
I have a better idea - Pokemon Frame. Nintendo has partly owned Fatal Frame for years but haven't done much with it. It would be a kid friendly version of Fatal Frame but with Ghost Pokemon. Using a camera would also make it a spiritual sequel to Pokemon Snap, maybe you could even play as Todd?
I’d like a third person MMO or RPJ that would look and feel like Skyrim or Zelda Breath of the wild. Imagine an open world Pokémon game where there is a legendary Pokémon (or powerful Pokémon) no one has seen or heard of in 1000s of years that is terrorising the world, and you need to go on an adventure to capture a Pokémon, level up the one you have, or even play as a Pokémon and level yourself up. To fight the evil Legendary Pokémon.
That sounds cool. The bosses could be legendaries and other cool Pokemon. And instead of a legendary, it could be something like MD's Bittercold or Dark Matter. Just imagine the posibilities for awesome boss fights if Pokemon was an open world 3D platformer.
I just wanna see more from Pokémon Ranger, since, as an animal lover, I loved the rescuing Pokémon aspect. Or maybe a game where you play as a Professor or a "vet" of sorts. Idk I just loved the Petz Dolphinz Encounter games as a child and loved rescuing and studying the sealife.
I've always wanted to join the evil team, even as a kid I found myself rooting for Jessie, James, and Meowth rather than Ash at times and hoped for their success instead. Also, loving the idea of a telltale kind of pokemon spinoff. Honestly, with how interesting your ideas can be, you might as well make your own fangame. I would definitely play it!
What's funny about #2 is that Pokemon Conquest originally WAS gonna be a PokemonXFE crossover but I forgot as to why they scrapped that idea and went with Nobunaga instead. Like imagine Pokemon themes in a Fire Emblem style. (looks at Fire Emblem Echoes final boss theme)
A telltale Pokemon game would be awesome, in fact I would like to see game like that to retell the Magical Pokémon Journey manga. That would be a cute idea, getting to play as Hazel and trying win Almond's affection, it'd be like a dating sim game only not as trashy.
I would really love to see telltale collaborate with Pokémon since one of the reasons I play Pokémon is the story (among other things such barreling and building my own team etc.) and I really like telltale and it’s not like it’s unlikely since telltale has collaborated with other big company’s in the past (Jurassic Park Batman Minecraft just to name a few) but sadly I don’t think that they’ll make it too dark (such will you make charizard use flamethrower on team rocket grunt or will you spare team rocket grunt?)
A lot of nice ideas ! I love pokémon spin offs, perhaps at the same level if not more than the main series. It just goes to show how much of a potential this series have ! Personally, I'd love to see a game where you play a pokémon scientist like a young prof Oak. I Always thought filling in the pokedex could have a bit more of a research feel, and it could become the most important aspect of gameplay. It may tie in with your number one, since your professor wouldn't have to be such a strong trainer, and you could even be beaten around because of this. Anyway, tons of potential ideas, so if you made more videos on spin offs i would totally watch them!!
If they ever make a Conquest 2, I hope they set the story during the battle that Sir Aaron and Lucario fought in at the beginning of the 8th movie. I was pretty disappointed when Conquest alluded to the rest of the Pokémon World by mentioning Pokéballs; as if Ransei was just a massive Amish colony where no one used modern technology and they still dressed in ancient clothes. It would have been so much better if they had just set the game in ancient Kanto. Similarly, I think a Pokémon Warriors game could be set during the Great Pokémon War (the one that Lt. Surge fought in) that has been referred to since Red & Blue.
I know this is an old video but personally I would love to see a Pokémon/GTA crossover where you play as a former member of Team Rocket who is forced back into the game. But the dynasty warriors one sounds cool too
Some of them I agree with you on,like the rhythm based pokemon game, rhythm heaven like maybe. Though I would LOVE another Mystery dungeon game. One you can play as every starter Gen 1-7. With some special characters, Pikachu (lets be honest that will always be a character), Meowth (Alolan?),Eevee ,Riolu, possibly Shinx ,Munchlax, Zora, Axew, Rockruff (possible partner only), Jangmo-o, and Mimikyu. Having these guys as playable characters would be sweet. As for the story. I don't know something to do with the Ultra beast, threatening the planet, and actually being the villains.
For the "story" part of the video, I feel like I'm the only one who thinks a romance options between your character and the rival would be cool. Pokémon games haven't experimented with this before.
it actually seems like Detective Pikachu might be pretty close to your #1 based on the trailer! it looks like a visual novel in the vein of an Ace Attorney or Layton game-I’m pretty excited for it! as for me, I would like to play something that mixes normal battle mechanics with Minecraft-esque building and endless customization. although I haven’t played it, it seems that Dragon Quest Builders is something like what I’m thinking of.
The only one that I feel is a little absurd is the Paper Pokemon idea. No third party developer TPCi approaches for the project would do it, not even if they begged them to. Redesign and animate 800+ Pokemon into Paper form, create an entirely new battle system, all for what's probably gonna be a shovelware title thrown onto the eShop and have it price sliced in half less than 6 months after release? No way. That and we are getting a Pokemon/Telltale-esque game, it's Detective Pikachu.
There is a fangame called Pokemon Reloaded, which works similar to Pokémon Rumble, but the context is more like the main games. You battle trainers and your rival, collect badges, stop the evil team... While I don't think this gameplay is sth I would like to see in a Main game, I think that it would be AMAZING as a spinoff
Conquest was a great game and worked well balancing people and Pokémon's affects on one another in battle, without blowing the key concepts of Pokémon asunder (IE: type advantages, abilities, evolution, items, and moves). I hope the idea is revisited, because it was very successful and likely could go even farther. I hope we get a story game involving some off the wall characters (like you selected) inside the working human world of Pokémon we've come to know; it'd bring so much life to it, and any battle would become like the anime - quick thinking, and fast reactions with unknown outcomes where life-like strategy is key. I'd love that! Honestly, I'd be up for just about everything on this list, excluding Pokémon Warriors. I feel that shakes the idea of Pokémon too much, going from training and working hard (and/or saving the world) to pulverizing everything in your path, even though the ones you're destroying, in theory, could be just as strong or stronger than you are. Just because a Pokémon isn't a 3rd stage evolution, never should mean the end result is it becoming cannonfodder.
One of my biggest hopes is that they make unique RPG crossovers one day, posssibly a Persona like game made by Atlus perhaps. But my biggest dream and thought would be a MOTHER x Pokémon story-driven RPG. I think both series, even if they have some different gameplay and battle systems, they have common mechanics and similarities that can work together. I'm personally writing my own story based on the idea which may not mean nothing for anyone else, but the principal idea is that it it's own original separate story based on EarthBound conventions, with the opportunity of focusing deep or dark themes that surround the world giving the opportunity of meaningful thoughts and quirky situations. The mainline Pokémon games always focus on why we humans should care for the Pokémon and values, but in this kind of story, the focus would be on the cast of human children and the situations they are suffering into in their real world, including for example an evil darkness that wishes mankind's destruction and the focus of the PSI and the skills they have, with the Pokémon themselves giving more thought on their relationship and perspective of human beings, that some of them have their unique potential and force that not necessarily mean their fragile or dependant. That is one of the main themes, but of course there are more based on my idea story I'm writing.
I really want a Pokemon Dynasty Warriors game, and I can totally see it happen! I'd also play a Pokemon Telltale game, and that example reminds me of Tales from the Borderlands.
I'd love to see a Pokemon Conquest 2, a new Trading Card game for 3DS with all the new cards, and more Mystery Dungeon and Pokemon Ranger I'd really like a story based game as well
I would love a fashion design/makeup Pokémon themed game. It’s kinda silly, but I enjoy games like that. Or at least have that as a feature of some spinoff. Or Pokémon Animal Crossing. I don’t think I’d ever stop playing that game. There’s more to the Pokémon demographic than people who like different kind of battles, and though I do enjoy Pokémon battling, I’m not a fan of other RPG type games, so I’d love to see something like I mentioned. :)
Old video I know, but there are so many good ideas that would just work with the Pokémon franchise. Pokémon MOBA Pokémon Xeno crossover with a Pokémon-centric world like PMD Pokkén 2 Platinum-developed Pokémon Action game Pokémon TCG adventure title again ect.
I would love to see a Pokèmon game where YOU are the bad guy. Like you could name you’re evil team and choose a custom logo for it. I could ramble on about lot’s of idea’s that I have but... I’ll soare you this time lol
