@@chicagoman393 Great point Chicago Man, Thankfully some of the newer generators on the market are coming with a carbon monoxide detector that will shut off the generator automatically when the levels are too high. One of my newer videos demonstrates that with my 10000 watt generator.
@@soundproofguide never use a generator inside, even if it’s a newer generator equipped with a carbon monoxide detector and automatic shut off, regardless how new it is they are not intended for indoor use.
He can't do that because he stole these videos cut them up and added his own voice over. He doesn't have the raw files. The videos have other people giving reviews and such.
I wish I'd gone with a 3000 watt, as my 2000 watt Champion doesn't quite do the job for many things, like my coffeemaker. That being said, I've had awesome support from Champion. For such low priced products, they've really stood behind them and even shipped out some parts free post warranty. I would ask that you recommend sources other than Amazon, for so many reasons.
You said "use inside or outside." NO! Never use a generator inside. Today, August 29, 2020, the news said so far there have been 14 fatalities from Hurricane Laura. Eight of those died of Carbon monoxide poisoning, five in one family. Get a long enough cord to run a generator outdoors. Chain it up if you are worried about theft. Even inside an attached garage is not outdoors enough.
For the money either the Champion Dual Fuel or gas Predator are the best 3,000-3,500 portable Inverter generators sold! Sure the Honda’s have great reputations, but the others are less than half the price for the same power and Db sound levels.
Wen 3800 (Home Depot and Amazon) and Predator 3500 (Harbor Freight). Less noise than a eu2000i Honda. By far the two best inverter gens avail now FOR THE MONEY. $699/$799 - $825.
To tell the truth I’ve been checking out generators and different people pushing these , and you’re the only one that gives more info or the quirks bout it and price
Did you sound test the generators yourself or are you using the factory specs? I noticed that the Honda’s are often tested differently than other brands which list sound at 23 feet away.
You had a 2300 W generator followed by a 3400 W generator. That is too much of a stretch to call this a comparison of 3000 W units. Having the number 3000 in the model name does not mean it can deliver that number as a running load. While starting load is a consideration, the continuous load is what is most important.
George with your marine application, your best bet is to probably go with an LP converted generator....I have one in my mobile home and have no issues while driving.
You got mixed up with the Honda; the Eu3000is and the Eu3000i Handi are complete different Honda generators. You showed two different Honda generators. The Handi is lighter, louder, and pull start only... the 3000 is costs a bit more, is quieter, and electric start. Either Honda is good
Yes, I saw this right away. You start off by talking about the EU3000i Handi but show the EU3000is which is a very different model other then they are both Honda's and are RED. Then to show the EU3000is again at the end. Okay I understand that the have a very similar model name and are both RED Honda Generators but come on, you can't see the difference?
??? For each of these: Does it have an hour meter? If not, that is inexcusable regardless of price. Why do you not require such a critical feature? Remote control for electric start? Sine or square wave power? Total harmonic distortion? Auto-throttling depending on load? Ease of draining carburetor for long-term storage? Ease of adding, changing or draining the oil? Engine displacement? Long-term durability comparison? Accurate, dependable fuel gauge? Toolless access to the engine?
Huh. Came here actually hoping to hear how loud the generators are. Otherwise a nice description of the generators. Just was hoping for a better way to experience the "quietest" portion.
I'm assuming this guy is America which prices are cheaper because our country is hurting. Canada is a lot more expensive at one time America was more expensive than Canada. that's before America decided to fight so many wars and financially hurt America. But for any politician worldwide war is money and power.
Honda Generators seem to be the best. Good job Honda. However they should make the gas tanks bigger so that it can run on full capacity of watts for 10 to 12 hours straight that more ideal plus invent a box that the generator can sit in so there is no noise. The box would have to have a fan and a exhaust fan that actually plugs into the generator plus all the other stuff but would be a great invention and would for sure sale because nobody wants to here the damn racket especially trying to sleep.
There are several after market manufactures that make extended run fuel tanks for the Honda Generators and a few that make enclosures but enclosures are a bad idea due to gasoline vapors, exhaust gases and over heating.
You showed two different Hondas, but referred to them as the same. They are not. The EU3000i weighs 146 pounds but has almost a 5 gal gas tank. It's the gold standard.
Hi, just found you today ... I'm interested in a small 2,200watt + - diesle generator .. I want away from gasoline's explosive nature for emergencies to keep my refrigerator / freezer alive during a power outage situation.. what available .. ideas welcome .. Ed in Phoenix writes
I want to hamburger or Siri I want a generator that will charge my batteries my deep cell batteries I want a quiet and I want it to be able to be turned on automatically buy a device that I just bought any hints and I’d like to switch it over to propane but it’s got to be about 2500 to 3000 W please give me a list great video thank you
I agree, watch my review AND sound test with a sound meter of a new 2000 watt gen that just hit the market. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V_J2PNRt6fg.html
Too many contradictions here on use of different wattages. You make no mention of Firman generators? I have a 3200/2900 inverter model that is very quiet and has the bullett proof Costco warranty. $500
If you are going to talk about sound, shouldn't you let us hear them while hearing it idle and under load. Plus you need to use a decibel meter. This is why i gave you a thumbs down.
I understand what you’re saying. I did do a full review on a new generator from champion that’s super quiet. I have full decibel test. Go watch that review and you’ll see some improvements. Thanks for the feedback
I feel the same way! It’s great value if you’re going to be using it everyday but it just doesn’t seem worth it if you’re just going to use the generator a couple of times a year.
@@soundproofguide I recently lost power for over 48 hours and my Honda saved the day. I could have lost over $500 in food in my two freezers and a refrigerator but I was so glad that I bought the best product in the marker. I never buy cheap tools.
If you want to post these kinds of videos for income through RU-vid ads and affiliate commissions on Amazon... Have at it! Do your thing! Make that money! But PLEASE, dude... PLEASE make thorough reviews that actually deliver what you're promising in the title. You forgot to discuss HOW LOUD these generators are!! REALLY?? The generac doesn't even HAVE a published DB rating... So you clearly just threw it in there because you felt like it, NOT because it's one of the five quietest 3000 watt generators on the market. You clearly don't own these units and I seriously doubt you've even USED most of them or any of them. You're regurgitating specs that can easily be found online... And that's fine. Do you're thing. But FOR GOD SAKES MAN AT LEAST DELIVER THE INFORMATION YOU SAY YOU'RE GOING TO DELIVER. Really it's NOT difficult to do at all
I don't know who shot your video but you show a very bad placement of the fire. It does not appear to be placed an a cleared area and no one seems to be watching it
Very poor info in this video, especially the part where you say the champion generator is safe for inside use, also there was no side by side comparison of real time use shown like a lot of other great videos have.
There is a reason why Honda Generators far out sell all other brands. I have had my two Honda EU2200i's for over 18 years and they have NEVER let me down. They are not the cheapest brand but I can tell you, you get what you pay for. As they say, "You can pay me now or you can pay me later". So just go with the Honda and you won't regret it.
What is the reason that you didn't include the Harbor Freight Predator 3500 inverter generator it's quieter cheaper and a better generator than anyone you have on there are you bias
I have simply never tried the Barbie freight 3000w however I have tried their 4000w generator and will be featured in our upcoming video of the top 5 quietest 4000 watt generators. Stay tuned for that.
Terrible review. All you did was use the marketing materials for each generator. That is not a review. There was no sound comparison done under load. I can look up marketing materials. What I am not able to do is side-by-side comparison. Not helpful.
You have "quietest" in all-caps in the title, then there is no mention of decibels until about 2/3 of the way through the video, and there is no actual audio footage. The whole thing is a generic summary of features with borrowed footage, and Amazon-reviews-based opinions. Yikes.
Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Generac's are notorious for poor quality and worse customer service. Is Power Rush the same as surge? WEN;s are terrible generators go to Amazon and read the reviews and then read the replies.People link two generators together for many reasons, mostly running RV air conditioners. The Champions have terrible customer service. You had better pull the review of the Champion, you CANNOT USE GENERATORS INSIDE YOU WILL KILL PEOPLE. You have the Honda Generators mixed up, did you really buy one. There is the Honda EU3000is and the Honda 3000 Handi these are entirely different machines, Take this stupid video off it is dangerous.
Anytime you add obnoxious noise called 'music' to drown out voice, you get an automatic thumbs down. Guaranteed. Keep doing this and fail. Your reviews are worthless. Not one mention of True Sine vs Modified Sine, price, pros and cons. Absolute garbage. Not a review!
