S&S Screamin Squirrels, which had a drop into a section of inverted track, were generally not given the "steepest" record because their bizarre element was considered a "saxophone inversion" rather than a drop. So it seems to me that the "steepest coaster" record is going to end in an arbitrary semantic judgment rather than any technical or practical limit. Many sources consider a tilt angle of 135 degrees as the threshold of an inversion. If we apply that here, then 135 degrees is the limit to how steep a drop can get simply by definition. (And then we can argue about which side of the mathematical divide a drop of *exactly* 135 degrees would be on...)
I never thought about this, but you aren’t wrong. There’s gonna have to be some limit as to what’s a drop and what’s an inversion. Similar to the record millennium force opened with. “Steepest overbank turn”, or something along those lines.

You missed an honorable mention, you should have talked about Orphan Rocker at Scenic World in Katoomba New South Wales Australia. That is a weird and Rare coaster that has a cool history!
WOAH when I was a kid I'd come up with all sorts of crazy coaster ideas not understanding how forces work, and one of them had an inversion resembled the first one. I called it the "long loop" and I'm amazed to have found out it was really built at one point.
I think the Spiral Coaster is truly bizarre. There are actually NO videos of it operating online. Another one I remember seeing is the Ring Of Fire at this park in Pakistan. Theme Park Crazy covered it on one of his bizarre coasters video
