If its all about crawling the $120 danchee ridgerock with tons of flex and front/rear steer is the best bang for the buck! Imo

Agree even though now it is around 150eur in europe. Still incredibly capable with new tires and supe rreliable with super cheap parts that almost never fail.

Yes man the Gmade G1 is really fun to drive.. it's like a spider on the rocks and yes can go nuts with different tires!!

Great video Richie...I totally agree except you chose the wrong Axial 10.2...I think you should had listed the Deadbolt which cones in at 299.99 as a RTR.

Love your vids! I'm new to crawling but I'd really like to know the difference between trail crawlers and rock crawlers. I bought one of each, I love them both. The trail crawler has this.. drag? That climbs hills with ease while the Rock crawler is unstoppable but doesn't have that drag. What causes it? And is it possible to get a rock crawler with that drag? Because If I could mix the two I'd love it even more!

Personally I don't think kits and RTR should be compared at price points. The $299 kits, by the time you get everything you need to make it RTR, is going to be a fare but more then the $300 budget.

The Traxxas TRX4 sport shouldn't be included in a group under $300. No way you can get it up and running for less than $375-$400. The sport is a better vehicle, but can't be built to run under $300:-(

Not true. I picked up a trx4 on sale at my local hobby shop for 240 bucks. Got a hobbywing esc and axial 55t motor for 35 bucks and an globact 2s lipo for 14 bucks. It was running under the 300 dollar price point. If you were to count the time to build it as an hourly wage then definitely not. Took me about 2 days to build it but that was really taking my time, using a razor blade to remove all the mold seams, and getting everything to fit perfectly

Kits shouldnt count in the price point because once u buy a motor servo and anything else u might need you will end up well over the $300 price point

I’d have to take it apart to put it together. I’m waiting for my first RC in the mail now. I think I might be hooked though because I’m also waiting on a second RC for my daughter. Ordering a third RC tomorrow. And I’m looking at budget crawlers now. In my defense I got my daughter the arrma granite 2wd so I have to order the 4wd for me.

You clearly have not driven the Element RC Enduro, its at yhe same price and keeps up with the TRX4 without a issue amd with the extra overdrive of 12% supplied you cant go wrong. I have the rtr and kit version.

Get a trx and if you want a cheap one a really good one I recommend is the redcat gen7 pro!!! I hope that helps and you get a rc crawler or any other rc!!! 👍

The problem with all of those trucks is to be really competition worthy you have to do a lot of modifications to all of them except for one of them and even that one would need lot of modifications so really it's hard to find something out there that is definitely competition Worthy But I guess you know $300 or less is what you're talking about so good job

The gen 8 doesn’t come with a battery plus it’s crap and it’s to long for a proper body and it has a belly bump plus it has crappy tires.

The roller kit SCA-1E is only 50$ less than the RTR SCA-1E? No way can I find a motor esc and drivetrain for 50$, I’d rather get the RTR and customize it as I go at that price
