They have no range if you're not towing something. Test drove one and somehow blew 10 miles of range on a 6 mile drive. It was today, summertime, which is when the range of most EVs shine.

@@jeffdulaney3109 That same resulting range drop applies to an equivalent ICE truck as well but will dig in to your wallet at a faster rate. No thanks - stick with the Lightning.

Honestly these do get th3 best range of any e.v. towing but it's still less than 200 k so I just don't think the battery tech or motor efficiency is good enough for trucks yet unfortunately. Cause I want to want one of these

It will definitely do that! I also have a Rivian R1T that will be posted tonight or tomorrow morning and the one I reviewed is designed for camping and outdoors. Check that one out when you get the chance!

I think the truck is beautiful and has great features. The battery range is awful for it though, charging too slow and heard many software issues. The price is so outrageous too, cut the price in half and have a better battery then I might would buy it.

So far from the best. You need to live a little and experience other EV’s before proclaiming it is the best. It might be the best EV in your garage, maybe that is what you meant.

Nice machine ! But what's the open box in the rear for ? Like it can't haul anything but the driver. It can't tow anything more than a few blocks down the road. Can't carry anything heavy. Maybe some Styrofoam. Nice, but quite useless as a pick-up.

No.5 It's a Ford.....No.3...did u ever sit in a new car before? For me the Lightning looks old from the inside. But the completly Package is great. I like the F150L

According to the FORD CEO the ford lightning only charged 40 percent at 40 minutes. He said the ford ev truck needs slot of work.

These trucks are only good for grocery getters. They suck on range, they really suck on towing range. After ticktok and youtub reviewers buy them, their sales will crash. My new limited 3.5 powerboost hybrid gets over 700 miles to a tank, only takes 3 minutes to fill up and towes 12k is pounds with ease.

@@BamaCooley they could be so amazing but Ford's range estimate technology is telling us one of two things. Either they lied about the range or the tech is being overly conservative. I can't wrap my head around the idea of paying $70k to quantify which is the case. Tesla has really ran a clinic on how to project range accurately and eliminate range anxiety. Ford needs to take a note from Tesla's book in that regard.
