For your first dynasty: Auburn's a solid choice if you care about story. For over a decade, one of their two most-hated rivals (Alabama, or "Bama" if you care about lingo) has dominated not just their conference, but ALL of College Football, but over the past couple of years that seat of power has transitioned over to Georgia…Auburn's OTHER most-hated rival. But, having survived the SEC as well as they have, they’re probably the easiest time you’ll have out of those three; a middle-of-the-pack SEC team could probably dominate any other conference, and recruits know this. For Memphis, they seem primed to retake the throne in the American conference. They were shaken pretty hard by the end of the Mike Norvell era but it looks like their new coach is finally getting things back under control. And now that SMU left the American conference to go to the ACC, there’s a power gap that needs to be filled. Memphis should be pretty strong against their conference opponents but might struggle against the Power 4 teams with everything from recruiting to non-conference matches. Finally, Texas State won their first Bowl Game ever at the end of last season, so their rags to riches story has just begun. If they can keep up their momentum, they might stand a chance of making it to the Sun Belt Championship if they can win their division. That said, one of the nicest things I can say about the Sun Belt conference is that they’re not the MAC conference; finishing their rags to riches story is gonna be a struggle. As for other recommendations: Kennesaw State didn’t exist at the FBS level until this season, so you’d be starting from scratch with them. The MAC is the only conference without a good team, so you could pick literally any of them and it’ll be a rebuild. Oklahoma is a team that hasn’t even been to the national championship game in nearly 25 years, has an 0-4 Playoff record since the College Football Playoffs were a thing, and just finalized the move to the SEC along with their biggest rival in Texas, so they’re a good choice if you want a Blueblood team to bring back to the top of the mountain in a new and hostile environment. Finally, Colorado has almost comically-inflated overalls for their team compared to how they performed last year, so if you wanna take advantage of that before the mid-season rating adjustments are made, Day 1's your chance.
