Great video. I also gained 7kg in 7yrs of CF(most in the first four years). I would add that one builds muscles that are otherwise negligible. As a runner, predominantly, I literally had no lats whatsoever prior to CF, for example.
Great info, and again, great job including all the references. I started Crossfit after 8 years of bodybuilding, plateaued at 133lbs, once I began I gradually went up currently sitting at 144lbs. Done correctly and consistently, you'll definitely build muscle with CrossFit..
Thanks for the kind words. Really interesting that CrossFit helped you pushing through a plateau. Might be related to reason four I provided here. Aerobic conditioning enhances muscle perfusion (more blood vessels in the muscle), which aid nutrient delivery. More work needs to be done to elucidate this though.
sincerely, that crossfit builds muscle its out of discussion. That said any person that joins at a CF afiliate and just does the wod and one or two stregnth exercices can not build as much muscle as powerlifting or bodybuilding an thats a fact. good video
Yep, its all about volume and specificity. The powerlifter just does much more volume (related to heavy, high load muscle contractions) than the CF athlete.
