One time before I even knew about lucid dreaming I asked myself if I was dreaming and just said probably not and I've hated myself for that ever since.
Hmm it's fascinating how can a tiny human brain can create a whole world and then destroy it on it's own will, all inside itself so idk the Elon Musk's we're living in a simulation might be true
but what if we don't have any dream characters or dream signs? (i keep a very detailed dream journal and have for about a year), but NOTHING the same ever happens (people or signs) PLEASE HELP
Krystal same I’ve tried keeping a dream journal in the past and I don’t have a specific dream sign I don’t know if this could count usually when I Dream I’m in a made up place or some random place I’ve been too and just doing things with others or made up people I thought of doing reality checks on questioning where am
For me, i just check the sky. The sky always looks painted it never looks real. It triggers a lucid dream every time. If you get into a habit of checking the sky often throughout the day it will become a natural reflex in your dreams as well
it can be a concept, it doesn't have to just be something specific, a few of mine, are walking at night; going to the shops; and hanging out with friends, they are concepts and not physical entities.
I first triggered a lucid dream by looking at the sky. It looked alot like a painting and not an actual sky, and it made me question if i was dreaming. It took awhile for me to get my real life memories back and i was so shook i woke up soon after. But, since then being aware of the sky in my dreams helps me lucid dream all the time
I love a good lucid dream! I only ever lucid dream when I've woken up and I go back to sleep for a short bit!! Its weird as I wake up I'm in the dream and then I know about it while I'm awake and then when I go back to sleep for a bit I know what I'm going back into and I just enjoy whatever happens!! It's great! I write down the enjoyable dreams in my dream diary and talk about them on my channel if I think their funny!! But it's great when you know what's going on! I think people look into it too much! I recommend having a normal sleep and if you wake up tired and it's the weekend go back to sleep immediately while your half unconscious and I gutrantee you 1/4 times you'll be thrown back into your dream and then go from there! Then just keep trying that! For me it's just luck if I wake up and have been in a dream then I can quickly return to it if I want! But if I wake up and wasn't in a dream state then I go back and could go into something if I'm lucky or nothing at all! But beware of sleep paralysis!! I have had it often because of trying to dream in those states!! So be careful! It's horrible!! Not a fun experience! I'll explain it you if you don't know all about it lol It sucks
Even though i knew all of this it was a big help, it motivated me. I really love how you improved with your videos I've been watching you since forever. I really wish you good luck because you are the best lucid dreaming youtuber for now.
I feel like I can’t even act as myself in a dream it’s almost like a movie and it’s nearly impossible for me to do anything and usually I can’t. I’ve only lucid dreamed once and it was AWESOME but I can’t figure out how to do it again I went to bed at ten and woke up at three and stood up till six twenty and when I tried to sleep at six I was lucid almost as soon as I closed my eyes
Sometimes when I lucid dream I go into sleep paralysis the feel like I leave my body before hand and that experience before hand feels like what I imagine dying to feel like. Has anyone else had this?
I had my first lucid dream two nights ago and I wasn't even trying for one! I was in a big mansion in a shower/locker room with my mom and I looked in the mirror and said "I must be dreaming because none of this would ever happen in real life!" And as I said that I started waking up and my body was tingling and in pain and I was frozen. When I woke up I was like WTF was that?!? And I've been doing this experiment where I think about what I want to dream about before I go to bed. And tell myself that I'll dream about it that night. And it has already worked twice in a row! Thanks for all the tips Giz!
I always have semi-lucid dreams. Like, I'll know I'm dreaming, but it never fully sinks in. I did have a lucid dream once, but I got excited and woke up. Too many things began to happen. I also can never remember my dreams. They just aren't vivid enough. I'll wake up, and I'll already have forgotten the dream. I won't remember until about an hour later, but it's just too fuzzy. I keep forgetting to do reality checks, I can't even get myself to go into sp. Soooo, wtf
I only think about doing reality checks when I'm with myself. But the problem is, when I'm dreaming I'm always with people, I just had my first lucid dream a month ago because I just so happened to be alone in my dream (and it was amazing, I tried flying talking to dream character) ! Now I'm trying to do reality checks when I'm with people but it's so hard to think about doing it when you're around people !
I had a lucid dream before, but my "reality check" (which wasn't intentional) felt so unexpected. Someone I knew did or said something out of character to her and I thought "oh they would never say/do that." It was weird because my dreams usually consist of out of character things happening a lot, but that particular dream triggered something. Another time, I kept looking at the time before going to bed to see if I would get enough sleep (it wasn't meant to be a reality check). Apparently I did that enough times right before I fell sleep, I ended up doing that same thing in my dream, but was so vivid it felt like I was still awake in my bed- it felt like I didn't actually fall asleep. I just thought, "huh, the time keeps changing..."
I have one character that keeps reappearing in my dreams. And I only realized this today because last night, in my dream, she was my mother for about five minutes. Then I looked away and back again and then there was my actual mother. It was weird because I remember seeing this woman in a different dream where she was a baker. I keep forgetting to ask her name. She's kind, a bit shy, and very pretty.
Giz, I want to not lucid dream, but I just want to have sleep paralysis. And I will lie down in bed still for hours , I wake up at 3 to try this. I just can't do it. Anything I can do to get better ?
do you use an alarm? if so, i suggest you dont as personally it wakes me up too much and im not able to go into sleep paralysis or back to sleep fast if i use one. this may be the same for you. i havent experienced sleep paralysis before while awake (i think), so i cant help much sorry
JulCom do you enjoy sleep paralysis?? It's horrible! I get it the odd time and now know how to get out of it!! But if you are really stuck it is one of the worst things in the world! I don't recommend lol
Actually i want to have sleep paralysis too to see if my representation of sleep paralysis appears (a race of creatures called sombies). If that happens then I think... I think I'll be relieved that at least in someday my world could be reality.
You're the first person I've heard of who would rather experience sleep paralysis than a lucid dream. I do think that sleep paralysis is pretty fun to experience, unlike most people (I'd definitely rather lucid dream though.). As an insomniac, I can relate to you. There have been a lot of times that I have lain in bed awake for hours waiting for hypnagogia. I would suggest trying relaxation techniques or meditation. Try to relax as much you can, and try to almost fall asleep but not enough to dose off completely. That way, you will drift off a teensy bit, and the hypnagogic hallucinations will "wake you up". I hope that made sense. Also, exercising a lot during the day will help a lot. HowToLucid.com has made some great videos about this; I recommend them.
i dont know if it was sleep paralysis but last night i was in bed, heard my cat meowing and felt her jump on my bed but then when i looked there was nothing there
Hey Giz, long time no see! I'm guilty of 2,3 and 4 :( My problem is that I don't have much discipline and I can't really sleep much because I have to wake up at 5 AM on weekdays :P P.S: Great beard!
I hate a lucid dream tonight but i was too much into the idea of the dream and IT was like a video game so I wanted to complete it and once I did, I woke up
I gave up trying when I started waking up two hours earlier than usual, tired as hell and not remembering a thing. And this was after I accumulated 3 months worth of dreams in a notepad.
hey giz great video, i do have a question you may not get as often, do you view yourself as a spiritual person, and if so did lucid dreaming guide you this way? if not spiritual on an awakened path? ✌
Somebody said in the comments dream character will try to stop you from doing reality checks... That makes me scared then like imagine just talking to your friend in a dream then trying to look at your hands and then he/she stops you then turns into a demon or sum shit
I had an experience last night and it freaked me out because I didn't expect it. So I tried the WILD(wake induced lucid dreaming) technique and I thought it was going pretty well. my body went numb and all and I could start to see weird dark shapes not front of my closed eyes. Yet as soon as this happened my eyes started twitching really fast and my heart was pounding so I stopped. Does anybody else have this problem and have any suggestions? On a side note last night was the first night I seriously tried to have a lucid dream.
My dreams are so hazy and i feel so distanced from them I'm finding it near impossible to lucid dream, i have had a few small successes but never a full blown lucid dream and its starting to annoy me intensely .
How to do stop yourself from falling out of lucid dreaming. I will get really into it but then lose it and stop, its like a 2 week on and 2 month off cycle. I really want to but never keep up with it. This is a very common problem i see with many other people what do you recommend
I purposely give myself 7.5 hours every night with several exceptions. At 8 hours, i feel slow and lazy that day, and at 7, I get a little neurotic and the tiredness builds up over time. Also, those 30 minutes are valuable to me for waking productivity.
I breathed through my nose in a dream then tried to put my hands through each other and it sorta didn't work. Then time was up and the dream was just over and on to my next dream.
Not exactly.. You do this when you are actually awake he means. That way you do it in your dream like you would in waking life, therefore becoming lucid.
Hey giz! I was on your livestream and you read my question and asked me something back, but didn't read my reply. I was the one who asked about shoulder and back pain when trying wild and sometimes fild. I was just wondering if you had an answer to why this could happen. It's usually bad enough that it keeps me from becoming lucid.
I know the pain, half of my dreams are in spectator mode, making me not even realise i am here, its like i just look at what happens are not being part of it. Makes lucid dreaming a lot harder :(
hello can you please help me, so i did a reality check where you put your fingers through your hand and i did that in my dream and it didnt work anyone know why???
I found my reality check by mistake. I cannot close my front door in my dream, the latch won't lock not matter how hard I slam the door. Only problem is, I can't actually get to dream about the front door anymore, and I don't know why.
Ok so I used the mild method last night and it worked when I was in a dream I did reality checks, I ended up having sex in it but my memory of the dream is foggy, why is this?
great vlogish video giz. how bad did laying in the rocks fill on your arms? Also man look at you. your beard is coming in. High five. Dont know why I said that... Uh peace.
Does waking up in the middle of the night affect chances of lucid dreaming. I frequently wake up and then fall back to sleep at night. I normally wake up to 3 times a night.
All the lucid dreams i've had have happend when I wake up in the middle of the night or when I sleep during the day. I think it helps with your consciousness. Maybe you should try and do a reality check every time you wake up in bed. It worked for me

I m having a week trying to lucid dreaming but i m failing always. I also follows the techniques step by step but i can t become lucid. So i am asking. Is every person able to have lucid dreams?
Stefanos Mitsios yes, it just takes longer for some people. When I first started lucid dreaming, I had no luck. I tried for a month with no results. However, when they started, they began coming more and more often.
A year late, but trust me. Lucid dreaming is way better than regular dreaming because you can literally do whatever you want and if you dont want to lucid dream then you can just go back to the regular dream
