Everything you said is on Point. If you have the money and can afford them by all means. But in 1 year they will be sitting in you closest collecting dust. I buy clothes that are timeless and know I can pull out of my closet and still look Fresh, not something that is Hyped and be irrelevant next season.

Honestly, I think price shouldn’t be a point against Gucci. They have always been a luxury house, and the prices will reflect that. The main issues are longevity and hype. Gucci has essentially become a meme, rehashing the same overly decorated concepts for the past few years. After Alessandro was appointed as creative director, they found something that worked and pushed Gucci out of irrelevance. They continued to milk these concepts for profits.

5 reasons I dont care about this list 1. Money isn't a problem for me idc 2. I like the pieces and think what I'm paying for is worth it. 3. Idgaf about hype I'm being it for me not other people 4. The quality is very good and the oldest piece I have is 4 yrs old and still looking great 5. What about Coach? What you spend on one t shirt at Gucci you can buy like four or five from Coach, for the price of one jacket at Gucci you can buy ten at Coach. 25 if you go to the outlet especially during a sale. And Coach lasts for ever.

I quite like Burberry stuff, like it’s stylish and especially a lot of their stuff now is quite subtle in branding, but their stuff is unique as well. Their trench coats are also actually built to withstand rain and you can get some on sale for under $1000, like I fond their sales really good for the quality

I own Gucci things but mainly guys messenger bags and belt bags. Bags usually retain a good amount their value more than clothing. One Gucci bag I bought at Gucci for 825$ this year the same bag is 1100$. So I could probably sell for 900-1000$ it’s pretty much in mint condition as I understand the resale value is highly dependent on the condition.

These Gucci, LV stans are funny af, when you see someone who wears fitted clothes, that look stylish yet simple and timeless, something ladys love to death. Now the guy who is trying so HARD to wear everything from gucci from top to bottom but looks a clown, well you payed over 3000$ to look like a douche, you just played yourself and Gucci is more than thankfull to these "show off" guys. I work in a gucci store and it's just really funny this trend thats been going on. There are customers that come in who buy gucci stuff that looks classy and great but than you get those guys who wear everything flashy with big gucci signs on every piece of clothing. We appreciate you paying but goddamn you need some sense of style REGARDLESS of the brand name.

@@ZanarkandFFX my point is what is silly is a Gucci rep calling people silly for wearing flamboyant Gucci when your own runway show is extreme over the top flamboyant Gucci. What I think is the most silly of it all is a bunch of snooty sales reps standing around judging people who are paying their bills and putting down their own brand because they aren't skilled and/or smart enough, and lack the integrity and drive to actually make a living doing something and representing something they actually love and don't look down upon. In case you haven't realized, post Tom Ford Gucci has become increasingly more about flash. I too, tend to go more for the classic (not classy) items, but you can't put down a flashy outfit on a flashy guy when that is precisely what your brand is currently promoting. If you think it's "douchey" then you're working at the wrong store for the wrong brand, buddy.

i really really really like their designs in the last few years. like the all over tiger shit. even the simple ass ace sneakers. i just wish it was a litttttle less expensive. like somewhere in between supreme prices and the current gucci price point. id pay 300 for the sneakers for sure. theyre like 580 retail i think. that gucci hoodie that got ripped off in harrison's video is one of my favorite clothing pieces atm. but $1200 they can suck my ass.

Supreme holds its value though... I have made thousands of dollars off reselling Supreme this year and last year. How do you not get that. Even something that is a "flop" sells for retail or close to retail. Gucci sells for less than half of retail with a MUCH higher price tag............. I feel like you liked your own comment because it doesn't even make sense and it is a silly comparison. Maybe if the only reason was hype then I would agree

Dude how are you going to tell me...I have PERSONALLY made thousands of dollars from reselling Supreme. Most the Supreme in there is above retail, that is why they sell it. I know people who buy and sell to Round Two. I have been to all of those locations and see shirts sell for hundreds of dollars that retailed at 34....

I understand what you mean, and I think you make some very good points which I can relate to. Thats why the first item I am going to buy from Gucci are the Horsebit Loafers, which have been produced since 1953 and therefore classify as timeless style and a black or brown leather belt with the gold double G buckle, which i believe wont go out of style anytime soon either

For me it depends on what the product is. I don’t usually waste my money backpacks or clothes but I would buy like the shoes, same as other designer brands like Louis Vuitton or Armani ext. shoes, belts, or maybe sometimes a coat or jacket but that’s it. The rest you can find other places with better style for way more cheaper. A lot of it has to do with hype of the name brand.

this style of video is really cool it's like a Casey Neistat video where it cuts around the city with cool views and Casey running. Personally, I love this slow downed pace video because it's more meaningful and better than the standard RU-vid vlog where it's too fast paced and not really cinematic or meaningful. I only own the slides. From personal experience the slides are worth it as long as you take care of them. The clothes and bags and belts are not worth it. MCM has better belts and bags for less $ when it comes to designer. But even at this point in fashion I believe everything has been so saturated that even designer looks cheap nowadays. At the end of the day, buy what you like and always be confident in what you want to wear. Also impress women over men.

Branden Mozr genuinely curious how the slides are worth it? I’d tend to thing the bags are definitely worth it. A leather bag will last a lot longer than slides will. My mom still has a Gucci leather bag that my dad bought for her 25 years ago that she still uses.

You are entitled to your opinion but I also think you might not know the story of “today’s Gucci” with Alessandro Michele as Creative Director. Almost every facet of his new collections stem from heritage Gucci pieces. That also includes early 2000’s pieces when Tom Ford was CD. The “new” Gucci belts are vintage design as well as the bamboo handbag handles. The bee design is the Queen Margaret and I bought my QM handbag bc it’s beautiful and bees are a classic piece in fashion. Not every piece will resale for profit but shoes, handbags, belts and glasses do based on what I see on RealReal.
