I just do not know how to thank you. I have had this pain for almost a year. I had two injection and the doctors were saying the only options I have left was surgery. I came across your video and did exactly what you recommended and I am now 100% cured. I will continue to do the exercises you have suggested and I am so thankful for helping me overcome my lingering pain. You are appreciated very much!!!
hi can you make a video for groin pain? i have a groin poin for more than 2 months rn, have gone for PT, getting ultrasound therapeutic, low level laser therapy and even do dry needling every week, yet the pain still there. maybe you can make a video about this?
These exercises are great for lower back pain (lumbar stenosis) and sciatica (which I have both.) Super, helps the whole issue! Am almost 78... will be doing this someday🤸♂️ Ok, better not try that.
What about a pinched nerve at L5 and S1. I also have fusion right there. What do you recommend. The swelling is down but I still have pain on my ankle that feels as if it was broken and pain around my groin and buttocks. I can't feel my foot so I trip alone. I also have stenosis on many disks and stage 4 osteoarthritis. I had dry needling done on one side of my neck and it took care of the pain. But I am also numb in both hands and my arms feel as if I was wearing a full blood pressure cub. I've had epidural after epidural but they pain in my back keeps coming back. Should I do the same exercises? I am now looking for a Neoro-orthopedic. Someone that knows about the issues and see if they have a solution. I'm doing another dry needleing. I don't know if it'll help my sciatic nerve but I'm thinking if I do microsurgery. I'm getting desperate.
Hey Rosemary! Sorry to hear that these are hard to do for you while working! It is important to not overexert yourself, but it is also very important to start correcting some of the muscle imbalances that may be creating your pain!
I am on top of the world!! I watched this video last night and started doing the ab and buttock squeezes immediately till bedtime. I got up this morning, and NO PAIN! My pelvic area feels more stable as well. I wish I had found out about this 10 years ago. Very grateful I found this man.
What a phenomenal teacher you are. I've seen a few of your other videos as well other instructors for sciatica. For me, you are the best to learn from.
Hi, I’m 80.5, sciatic both sides, right side since 2007. Therapy many times, never got to the root, as you are showing today. Past 6 months, right thigh prickly pain with heat, very uncomfortable. 2019 - 2021 severe spinal stenosis, scoliosis, piriformas, psoas, sciatic BOTH sides. I was absolutely miserable, never missed work, therapy made it worse. Refused surgery offered and asked for therapy from Rush surgical office. 18 visits and I walk and dance. Unfortunately, sitting all day at work and home, muscles have tightened. Thank you for these exercises to get to the root. If you have a suggestion for the burning, numb toes and outside of thigh, tingling, I would be grateful. Thank you🥹🙏. God Bless you and your family and your practice. I’m sure many have been helped!!!! 😌👏
this really works. the first two gave me relief right away. And the next exercises gave me the best relief but you have to warm it up with the first two. Don't skip it. Thank you doctor!!!!
These excersise are the best im now sciatica free but i still try to do these as i don't want it coming back sufferd so much until i followed this doc.❤Thank you doc.
Severe sciatica pain finds me in my sleep. I haven't slept well for over a year, cause the pills the orthopedic gave me for the nerve only lessened the pain for a while and I can't take stronger medication due to my kidney disease. I have lots of slightly damaged disks at my lower spine. 52 years old. I tried exercises that stretched the nerve, although I have a very flexible skeleton...no result. You gave me hope that I can get rid of this devil! Thanks 🙏 I will definitely be back for an update...

Hello Doctor. I'm pleased to hsve come across your site. I hzve been having severe pain in my lft buttock and in left groin area. I am not sure if this is due to sciatica or piriforms. Can you please explain what piriforms is as you have a great video on sciatica. Many

I dont think I will be able to dot the rocking exercises on an hourly basis because Im at work most of day but thank goodness you have a standing version. I can do the kneeling ones at home then the rest at work.
I'm 41, diagnosed with AS and walk with an aid. I'll give these a try. Thanks 😊 My rheumatologist says "motion is lotion" but when you can barely stand, that mantra feels like it's mocking me.

I gotta get my mom to watch your channel lol. She is always giving me excuses why not to pay attention to the details of physical therapy but that is unacceptable to me lol. I'm going to torture her with your channel segments....she will thank you and I later...peace.

Thanks i hope it works. I had been shape most of my adult life. Up until 3 years ago I was in the gym 3 days a week. At 63. Yoga Pilates weights spin. Being a caregiver for almost 40 years destroyed my back. I have been mostly bedridden. Nothing has worked long term and I have tried everything! 😢

These videos are great-very easy to follow and explained well. My sciatica comes from SI instability and currently my worse symptoms extend down into my foot- soreness and cramping in the arch toe area. I am doing the short foot exercise but want to know what else may help? I can’t stand up or walk for very long without having symptoms and it’s worrying me for sure. Thanks!
Hi Lester, that's a good question. You want to try to refrain from food that causes inflammation like carbs, sugar, and dairy. We are so sorry to hear that you're dealing with sciatica pain. The pain can really affect your well-being and we hope you can find some relief soon. Just in case you're interested, we have a sciatica playlist that you might find beneficial. Thank you so much for the videos . I have mild sciatica with pain radiating between glutes, hamstring and calf on my left leg. Hope your methods work for me. I hit the gym three time a a week. Can I continue doing squats and deadlifts while I have sciatica ? Thanks .
Hey Misbah 👋! It is absolutely okay to use a heating pad to help relief you of the sciatic pain you're dealing with. Just like you said, it can be very soothing. You can alternate between hot and cold but of course this is all based on YOUR preference and what you find to be beneficial. We'd like to leave you with additional resources regarding sciatica issues, you can access that here: "Sciatica Pain Exercises & Stretches" ru-vid.com/group/PLJVIPiFvv1maZPQPPtirn4oxj8oCPuIMR Wishing you the best! 😄
Now this is something I can actually do. I'm so thankful for physical therapist like yourself who are helping those of us in need of strengthen our body and pain relief. Not having to waste gas driving back and forth the physical therapy is a plus not to mention I can do these exercises in privacy and on my schedule.
I had a knee replacement 2 years ago, out of no where my heel is killing me, they told me it’s plantar faciitis. Nothing is helping….I started doing some of your glute exercises and it seems to help!
Not sure if it is sciatica I am dealing with but for the last 3 weeks, I have been having pain in those areas and it gets flared up when sitting. Even sleeping at night is rough, and I am constantly switching sides because I cannot stay on one side. I get temporary relief when walking or stretching.

I have to say I truly appreciate the depth and breadth of your explanations of root causal effect and appropriate levels of muscular control and strengthening. It give me great hope for continued recovery . Thanks!😅
Thank you so much for your videos. I recently (2 months ago) had my hip replaced. Afterwards, the PT (at home) was good, but the more it went on with exercises, the worse I got. The one exercise I really struggled with was knee bent and lifting my leg off the bed for 5 seconds. Even though it hurt, in my mind I needed to build the muscle and kept doing it. Now 8 weeks post surgery, I still cannot come close to walking unassisted. Super frustrating because I had my other hip done 10 years ago and it was a piece of cake. This time, not so much. My leg fells swollen, somewhat numb and when I try to put all my weight on it, I have this radiating pain down to my knee. Looking at your videos it seems like sciatica. Appreciate your exercises!

After watching your videos I believe this is where I am at although if I sit without putting pressure on my right side I don't feel the pain so much but I can't sit on my right or lie down on my back i can't put pressure on my right foot I can't lean back or lie down on the bed or floor without excruciating when getting back up an using a walker to help me get to the restroom. I won't get surgery I have not seen a Dr don't think they can help me naturally this pain started Friday before that it was a couple days of that dull pain in my butt. I need to get back to work or I will lose my clients please tell me how to speed up the healing I don't have 6 to 8 weeks. I been taking advil for the pain.

Hey Cabdala, it can heal on its own, but it needs to be in good health to do so. This means it needs to be in good muscular balance. It also heals rather slowly, but over time you will notice a difference if you maintain good knee health. What’s the difference between muscle strain & sciatica. I have a history of sciatica but this time only my hip hurts & not my leg & hip. I am using a heating pad. No relief after 2 days . It came on suddenly when I got out of the car. I am 77 yes old.
Hey there, sciatica pain is a nerve problem that usually radiates down the leg, while a muscle strain usually only hurts at the location of the muscle. The muscle strain is usually caused by overworking the muscle. With a muscle strain, it is usually best to let the muscle rest. Heating pads are also beneficial as long as they are comfortable for you. Hope this helps!
Sir, I've Hip osteoarthritis with severe cartilage damage. Where I can't even move my leg right or left after lying down even more than five inches as you suggested. Even it causes extreme pain after that

Hey Kim, great question! These exercises can be beneficial during a flare up, but it depends on the person. Our best advice is to try them and if things get worse then do not continue. But if things do not seem to change much right away or get better pretty quick then continue performing them. Hope this helps!
Hey Jinan, you are welcome! In case you need it, here is a playlist with more information on sciatica: "Sciatica Pain Exercises and Stretches" ru-vid.com/group/PLJVIPiFvv1maZPQPPtirn4oxj8oCPuIMR

Hello Dr. I’ve watched many hours of videos on sciatica and bursitis. I have both. Plus fibromyalgia so it’s pain on pain on pain. It’s so flared up that it’s excruciating and become unbearable now. I’ve been doing other stretching exercises and have incorporated yours also and I think I am noticing a slight improvement. Every day I walk 2 1/2 miles with my girlfriend, but it is so painful on my hips and back. My right pelvis is tipped forward and my right leg is a little shorter than my left. So I am going to put a shoe insert in that shoe. Should I avoid walking for a while and if so, for how long? I am 72 years young with a lot of pain.
Hey there, this sounds like something that would really need to be evaluated. The walking is probably causing the rotation in your pelvis if you are using the incorrect muscles. We have a great video that explains how to walk properly to avoid developing pain. Here is a link to that: “Does Walking Help Knee Pain?” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3ttv66it9x4.html It may also be advisable to seek help from an experienced chiropractor or manual physical therapist. In the US, you can find a physical therapist trained similarly to Dr. David at this website: aaompt.org/Main/Public_Resources/Find-A-Fellow/Main/Member_Resources/Find-A-Fellow.aspx?hkey=108c9a56-f793-45e4-b3ed-cefe5d871a94 Dr. David is a fellow of the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapists. His specialty is orthopedic manual physical therapy, which is the ideal specialty for helping someone avoid surgery, injections, and medications. Traditional physical therapists are best trained to help people right after surgery.
