Main Street U.S.A. music is the best!! I always find myself singing, humming, whistling to the tunes, much to the annoyance of my wife & daughter! Back in the 1970's I worked in a restaurant that was set in Main St's time period, a Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour Restaurant. That wonderful type of music played on a loop over and over all day and night long. I used to crank it up in the area I worked because it gave me a rhythm to work to. That music loop is burnt into my brain, still!! If I ever had the opportunity to work for Disney Parks, I'd want to be on Main Street U.S.A. - it's my Happy Place!!!!!
It was so cool to hear about how you use different types of music within your segments in order to enhance the quality of the video for your viewers. Thank you so much for all the thoughtfulness.
I love the music in Main Street! I can sit on a bench in the shade for hours and just hum along!! It’s my happy place where everything just washes away! I can’t wait for it to open up once it’s safe!!!
Disney is close , but when I see a new Video of TPM that makes my day, since I found your channel and all the secrets you share with us my trips to Disney are more amazing with all this new secrets So THANK YOU TPM
I know, it's sad to see all the things that are being cut, no fireworks, parades, characters, shows, certain rides closed. I wanted to go next year after not being at the parks in 17 years, but with all the stuff that's going on and the ridiculous reservation system, I might end up having to go in 2022. Every time I plan to go and get money together, it feels as though something is stopping me from going to the parks
Chelsea Princess Bracelets you think a month is bad I was arriving at my hotel driving up from the Bay Area when the news got out that Disney was closing
Chelsea Princess Bracelets I was going to go in may next year. But since I’m in wales, it’s quite a long way to go, to not get “the full experience” as we would probably still have etc wear masks, and it wouldn’t be the same. BUT we are planning to go do Disney land Paris in December, for my 1st time!
We woke up at 4 am to catch our plane and we were so excited. My uncle then came in and told us that we had to cancel our trip. The next day Disney closed. I cried for an hour and a half.
I've been subbed to you for a year and a couple months now and i could've sworn you were at 1 million already. You are seriously underrated. you put so much effort in your videos and it looks very hard to do! Thank you for your hard work and content!
Great video! In addition to the delightful theme music of Main Street and the other lands, the "Disney Magic" of the way they sync up the street speakers with the specific music for show elements in their parades as they move through the land is pretty darn special too! It flows so seamlessly that many folks never realize that the sound isn't just coming from the floats themselves.
omg, I was so impressed at 9:27! You're voice is so incredible!! ♥️♥️♥️ I know that this isn't what you do but I kinda want to hear you do covers of Disney Songs... 😅
As a Disney fan and a Broadway fan, this video hit the spot. Those were some really fun facts I didn't know! Also, as someone with a degree in voice, I have to say that your voice is magnificent. I was blown away!
not only one of the best "Wildest rides" voices, he can sing too! I knew some of the songs were based on musicals but i never knew which one or what song! glad to learn something new!
This may be one of the BEST TPMvids EVER!!! How fun, informative and inspiring! Of COURSE we recognize these great songs! They make us smile from ear to ear and want to DANCE down Main Street USA! Thank you so much, TPMvids!!!
This guy sounds so alive and happy. He puts so much emotion into his narrations and really immerses you into the video. You can tell he’s a true Disney fan and a lover proven lover of all things Disney. I watch this channel’s videos over and over because the music, clips, and narration make me long for the parks. They’re such a great place to be and the people working so hard on these videos can bring you to them through their amazing videos. I find myself watching some over and over because it’s done so well. If you haven’t subscribed yet, I highly recommend it. These are great honest people expressing their love for the most magical place on earth and it’s incredible. They give their heart and soul to the channel and it shows. TPMVideos, I love you guys. You make me happy and give me the joy of the parks without being there. Keep up the incredible work. : )
Ummm... anyone else completely shocked at how amazing his voice is??? Like, Woah... dude! You have an incredible voice!!! You should be on stage at Disney and performing in the parks!!! LOL ! But for real, you are suuuper talented and I was sooo shocked and surprised at how much of a talented singer you are! Great job dude! :)
I love hearing the broadway tunes on main street! And to hear TPMvids sing was incredible!!! As a theater teacher and director I approve this message! I was sad to see one of my favorite musicals was overlooked in this video. The Trolley Song from Meet Me in St. Louis. First the famous movie with Judy Garland then it had a short life on Broadway. Great song and I love to sing with it on Main Street.
I’ve met jack Wagner on a Disney cruise, and keep making your vids tpm because that’s how close I can get to actually get to having the Disney spirit today.
Hey, you don’t know how much I appreciate you talking about the musical history of the Disney Parks. Thats not very publicly available information, and I deeply appreciate the rich musical history. I feel that what makes Disney Parks is their music, and without it, it wouldn’t be nearly as magical. Thank you, my guy
Oh My Goodness!! You’re voice is AMAZING!! I just recently did Music Man at my schools theatre and I was definitely singing along when you played those tunes 😂
WOO!!!! Mainstreet has always been my Happy place. Thank you for doing this video 🙂 I LOVE your channel TPM :) Can I please have a Shoutout in one of your videos!? 💖💕💖
Tpmvids I love your voice its so soothing and perfect! You should do a video with Thetimtracker really good youtubers by the way there are lots of other youtubers you can do videos with my miss those videos with Yesterworld and Disneydan!
I've had two wonderful Broadway moments on Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom. The first was when I was in college on my first trip and the Dapper Dan's were singing. They asked for requests. I asked them to sing "Lida Rose" from The Music Man. While they were singing I started singing Marian's countermelody very quietly and when they finished, they pulled me up and asked me to do it again, but loud and proud. So I stood between the Dapper Dan's and got to sing with them. I was so ecstatic and I hugged them all. The second was on my honeymoon in 2018. My husband and I had just done a local production of Hello, Dolly and happened to hear the medley start. We started singing and dancing and bunch of Cast Members applauded us. We got a free cookie from the bakery for being cute.
The music on Main Street at Disneyland always makes me happy because I love musicals. #2 tho, omg, I was tearing up, that was SO sweet to have Meredith Wilson included like that!
I knew all the songs from the Broadways. That's why I love Main Street's music so much! It is so relaxing to stretch out with a group of family or friends on one of the lawns and listen to the music or enjoy snacks or ice cream.
Your video brought a big smile to my face. It was a very touching moment watching Mr. Meredith being surprised by the marching band and it got me all watery eyed, feeling nostalgia for an era I never experienced. Oh, and your singing was great! Most of all, one can feel the joy coming from you and it is very contagious.
One more Main Street, USA fact: former Imagineer Tom Morris (Disneyland Paris, Cars Land in DCA) once said that Main Street, USA in Disneyland feels more like "The Music Man" while Walt Disney World's (and by extension, Disneyland Paris') as more "Hello, Dolly!". Eddie Sotto, the executive show producer of Main Street, USA in Disneyland Paris, often cites the 1969 film version of "Hello, Dolly!" and its production designer John DeCuir (the man who famously bankrupted 20th Century Fox due to his lavish designs, particularly in "Cleopatra" and yes, "Hello, Dolly!") as the main inspiration behind Paris' version.
Starting off my acting career in theater as a child before moving on to work in film, television, games, and commercials, shows like The Music Man and Hello Dolly were favorites of mone growing up. It was an absolute delight to hear songs from those musicals play in the background on Main Street. Disneyland is what inspired me to become an actor, animator, visual effects artist, designer, and filmmaker so having those songs turn up on Main Street really tied it all together for me. Great video! Really enjoyed this. (And you've got one heck of a good singing voice too, by the way!)
I used to work at the Jolly Holiday Bakery (I'm now in DCA), and my shifts were early in the morning, so I'd usually arrive before guests. My favorite thing was walking across Main Street with no guests around, and hearing all that amazing music. Even though I love all of it, hearing Married Life is so special and is definitely my favorite!
this is one of my favorite tpmvideos that i've seen from you guys in awhile! this one really made me smile and WOAH your singing sounded amazing! thank you for spreading some of the disney magic through your guys' videos and i can't wait to see more the next time you upload! :D ❤️
Having been in my high school's version of Oklahoma, I recognized Surrey with the Fringe and Kansas City. Also, I recognized that tune from Music Man, but I forgot what movie it was from.
i love your channel! it’d be so cool to go to disney with you, thank you for keeping your channel alive during these hard times! hope you’re staying safe:)
Really impressive voice there TPM! I was in a couple of the musicals, but I couldn't dream of sounding like you! I was in productions on smaller stages of Hello, Dolly! and The Music Man. I wanted to be in Oklahoma, but a bout with strep throat kept me out of that as well as the Pirates of Penzance. I miss those days! But man, you have a great voice TPM!
