It’s not facts though. Most of these shoes are unattainable for most of the public. The story of the LV airforces is crazy. Virgil Abloh achieved something amazing with those LVs

@@supreme_zeeyus I’m not denying that. I’m just saying that it’s hard putting that shoe on the top 5 list when it was practically impossible for the public to get a pair. The drop was rediculous. I’m not saying I don’t like them or the story behind them.

​@@Achunk89 Most of the shoes were almost impossible to get because of bots, backdoors, resellers, and just the sheer amount of people going for them. If you use "practically impossible to get" as an excuse for a shoe to not to be sneaker of the year, then you basically exclude any hype sneaker. Getting them boils down to luck.

@@iamwowed Not true…if you are really into shoes, and you put enough leg work in with your local skateshops and do your homework on the who, what, where, when, and how in terms of raffles, you can get some (of course not all) for retail. I have 3 of them (all retail) L&F, AMM4, and Orange Lobsters all manual no bots no back door. But I’m a sneaker junkie. I think about sneakers 24/7. If you’re just a casual consumer, then I guess I can see why you might feel inclined to think that these top 5 are almost impossible to cop though.

​@@06mikerome Wrong. It's mostly luck. A lot of the country don't have local skate shops that even sell Dunk SBs so they have to rely on SNKRS draws. I do raffles all the time and still take Ls on hype releases. I did 40 different raffles for the Lost and Founds and took all Ls. Raffles are all luck. Listen to yourself, you're saying you have to be a sneaker junkie like yourself to get lucky enough to get some shoes. I didn't say it was impossible, I said practically impossible. Reverse Mochas and LVs were both practically impossible to get. Most hype shoes are practically impossible to get for the regular person that's into sneakers, not just casual consumers. Maybe things were different in the past, but times have changed. That's why a lot of people have turned to reps and why it has become more accepted. Tony is not speaking facts. If you disqualify the LVs then you have to disqualify Mambacitas, Travis 1s, and Lobsters or any slightly hype SB Dunk. Only shoes that didn't instantly sell out should be on his list by that logic.

Not at all, the a ma debate made no sense those 4s have a story too and there are way more Kobe’s than A ma Nike sneakers. It’s also just a better quality shoe. I love the Kobe’s and the story but they aren’t a better sneaker.

You could get many of the shoes on the table if you tried. For example I copped two pairs of the A Ma Maniere 4s, one size 11m and one 11.5m. Sold one pair for $530 which covered the cost of both and then some. So I'm essentially rocking my pair for free. I know it's not guaranteed, but I really think anyone has a shot at hitting most releases for retail if they try. Join Kckd Notify for 25 bucks a month. I've been in this cook group for months and they helped me cop many shoes including the A Ma Maniere 4s as they posted an early link 30 seconds prior to the release, so I got they que and checked out within 4 minutes. And the group has so much value that you can half ass it and still hit on stuff. Definitely worth the $25
