Michael Stuart uses thermal imaging to inspect a common electrical motor for issues that might be impacting energy usage:
1. Windings and general heat pattern
2. Termination box/ juntion box opened up, all electrical components (following electrical safety practices)
3. Convection cooling fan, if present;
4. Bearings, where not blocked by cowling covers or fans (drive-end and non-drive end)
5. Couplings/ shafts/ drive belts
