Compare to Japan, Malaysia has a much more balance working lifestyle .....but that doesn't mean Malaysian people are not performing while they are working. It's just that Malaysian always emphasize on both sides. Cheers bro and I like ur sharing ,enjoy ur life in Malaysia!
@Jacky Phantom There's chinese Malaysian that are lazy too, it's just you don't heard about it because chinese usually talk in chinese when it's about bad things between them.
Hey Aki! Just found your channel, totally agree with you on some things! Especially how many beautiful islands you can find within Malaysia and how people are so laid back! Keep up the great work, friend!
I never thought that Malaysia as a cure to depression. It’s kinda weird but good thing too i guess 😅 maybe you’re right, the laidback atmosphere doesn’t makes us Malaysian to be in stress and thinking much about something. Still, we gotta improve more in certain areas. Much more to catch up 👍🏻
It's not entirely that Malaysian people don't get depressed. it's just that compared to other countries, especially the likes of Japan, getting serious depression ain't something that happens often if you ain't pessimistic & cynical to begin with.
There is one moment when *Malaysians being rush, when work need to be done near the deadline/ asked by boss. 😂😂 * I am meant in general and as a joke... no offense to anyone.
I must disagree with you. Italian and Spanish ppl are more leisure than us. I have working experience with them and they found me too workaholic and stressful. Cant imagine how will they react with Japanese work culture.
I am so glad that you are enjoying your trip here in malaysia and also share it with us.. I sincerely wish more malaysian will watch this video and be more grateful how lucky they are to stay in this country..
"I feel like there are a lot of things that Japan should learn from Malaysian relaxing lifestyle" Meanwhile Mahathir the PM of Malaysia: "Malaysia should learn and follow the Japanese working culture" Yeah Malaysia's current PM admires Japan as a nation from its culture (especially the working culture) to its economy (to the point that he's trying so hard to get a national car company to work like Japan's car industry and is now proposing for yet another car company XD). I understand that Malaysians can be "too laid back" but as you've said on the other hand it can be too stressful and depressing which also isn't good. All things in moderation as they say.
DMind Gaming yeah we’re always being compared to japans educating system and their cleanliness, apparently we don’t have cleanliness our people here said dirty vibes
It's so high! can you imagine, my condo in Germany cost $8++ a month, while I get a condo in Malaysia for $3++ a month in Cyberjaya 😍😫😫 I wanna re-born as Malaysian
@@kanzai12 living in Malaysia makes me realizes it's great to have a normal life. I remembered being overwork and stressed in Germany, the people aren't friendly around 😅
Are you sure? Our country were once invaded by Japan and their treatment towards our late countrymen are pretty bad. P/S:got this all from my history textbook
Ice Phantom Yeah but I don't think we should hold a grudge against people (especially an entire nation) based on what their ancestors did. Back when Mahathir was PM (1981-2003) Japan's PM paid a visit to all the southeast asian nations that Japan invaded and terrorised during WW2, visiting memorials and paying reparations to them. However when he visited Malaysia Mahathir told him to "quit apologising for something that happened 50 years ago" and that the two countries should move on from the past, Japan's PM just stayed quiet (he could neither agree nor disagree for political reasons).
Love japan as a beautiful country.. not the japanese themselves. About bad treatment.. british did worse to us and still we are speaking their english.
Glad to know you're enjoying Malaysia! It's amazing to see Malaysia from someone else's point of view. Will be looking forward to more videos from you ✨✨
It is our culture when you get tense or hectic at some point, any Malaysian next to you will tell you 'Rilexla Bro' means chill. I think for a Muslim we always taught that things happened for a reason (Takdir) and we have to know the lesson learned from it (iktibar) concept might came out as easy going nature to foreigners. I guess this way of living might rub off to other race. However, deep down inside we do feel the anxiety if things getting too slow or it turned out to be not as we anticipated.
This is further compounded by the fact that the two other major minority races--Chinese & Indians, ain't known for getting tense & uptight about shit in most situations (Hong Kong is the ONLY Chinese area that's truly truly uptight about everything). & there you have it, a country where people go about their business in relaxed manner.
@ op Of course, you are right. But I feel most of the time after we accept takdir and learned from it (iktibar) we do very little effort to make sure the same wont happen again or improve the situation/work. Japanese also has the same acceptance, they would say "shoganai na" to things that don't go their way, but they make improvements and steps after saying that. Sorry if I offend anybody, this is just my opinion.
Thank you, Aki, for your positive comments about my country. It took me years of living abroad (including in Japan) and then finally returning home and then making comparison to realise what a blessing it is being a Malaysian! Arigato gozaimasu!
Wow amazing! My country Malaysia can cure someone's depression..but it's true dude cuz we Malaysian haven't or maybe less pressure in "the value of punctuality" haha
I'm glad to hear that a Japanese guy got treated from stressful life by living in Malaysia. I hope you will enjoy your stay too. You're welcome to visit other states too!
Abou the laid back atmosphere, it's not about how Malaysians don't take anything seriously or anything. We're laid back bc patience is like an important thing for us.We think that being so strict about something is actually bad for your health so we tend to do things more slowly and at the same time, try to do things more efficiently.
We malaysian, especially prime minister Tun Mahathir is really impressed on Japanese punctual culture. And here, a japanese whomappreciate malaysian late culture.. haha..
Laid-back doesn't necessarily equal being late all the time. i'm Malaysian myself, & everyone who knows me knows that i'm shit laid-back, lazy even, but i absolutely hate Malaysia's 5 min=1 hour late culture.
I'm Malaysian n I'm punctual it's my habit to be punctual we must respect another person's time. And not all Malaysians are late I mean not till 1 hour late for appointment, you can't do that in official duties.
Best as in inexpensive? Cure percentage? If you're a foreigner, yes it is cheap due to money exchange. But if you are local in low and middle class without insurance; self employed for example, is not the best healthcare IMO.
Hi aki... i love watching your video btw 😁aki try visit SABAH you can see the GUNUNG KINABALU and try eat our traditional food like butot, sinagol and so so so much seafood here
Org jepun suka Malaysia sbb kat sini buat kerja relax(compared to their country).. Japanese probably wont experience “lagi 5 minit” and “on the way” law in their country.. Welcome to Malaysia.. To be real honest, as a Malaysian! I love Malaysia a lot.. Being thankful as a Malaysia is one of the best thing happen in my life..
A little bit hard to type in english so i will type in malay: 1) Kita tak nampak kecantikan malaysia sebab kita sibuk cari kecantikan negara lain 2) kita jenis yang tak bersyukur dengan apa yang negara kita ada
@@icephantom9 it's good that you are still young. Take your time to learn about your country and see the beauty in it. There's always two sides of every story.
The nature (jungle, hill, beach, island, ocean, flora, fauna), people, food, roads and transport, housing, lifestyle, religion, language, education, healthcare, weather... and many more
when you say malaysian relaxing lifestyle, i just checked my punch card at work, suprisingly, only a few week in a month im on punctual, the rest must be below 10 min late. honestly im trying hard to be punctual like japanese. and hardworking also. i will improve my self at work like japenese also. In Shaa Allah. 😊😊😊
Rushing is punishable by law. Hahahahaha i like ur expression when u spoke this statement out. Btw thanks for expressing how much u like our country. I hope u will discover more throughout ur stay in Malaysia!
Yeah that true about relax and enjoy doing your work...im used to worked in forest rehabilitation in Sabah Forest...a student from Sweden amaze while she joining us working in the jungle...we are singing , laughing during work...she enjoy doing her research...she said she no longer tired walking in the forest even the forest is wet and hot.. And then she singing too lol.. And the best part is shes learn to eat using hand instead of using spoon... Lol... That was my experience
Wow! I am very MUCH surprised with some of commentors stated they who are not a Malaysian, don't want to go back to their own countries. While lots of Malaysian want to migrate or work in other countries. 😂 By the way, thanx for the vid. It is nice to hear positive remarks from foreigners about Malaysia. My grandparents happy to hear this. Good job! Terima Kasih 😉
Your English is so sugoides. I like your video a lot. You may now know that Malaysian also loves Japan. I,on the other hand, knows a bit about the stress in Japan. Yes it's because the discipline is the culture. I have a friend who works in a Japanese company so he sometimes talks to me. As for me that's the beauty of this world. For us Malaysian such as me I would love to go to Japan to see the cars, the malls, the food, Gundams, high tech gadget, the culture, the scenery...everything. And maybe for Japanese they want to go here because it has the Zen that they needed most. Peace of mind where you can enjoy reasonable/cheap local food, fruits, beaches, common accommodation, highlands, forest and of course escape from that stressful type of things. Jauh perjalanan, luas pemandangan.
Hahahahhahahhah, glad that you like my country that much. Please come and tell my sister your thoughts. She likes staying in Japan so much and now my mother wants her to be back. Lol
V eryTrue. That's why we enjoyed our Malaysian food because anything goes. You can just enjoy your durian mencankung or nasi lemak with fork spoon and nobody cares. Japan people are really traditionalist from what i understand. for eg we can eat sushi and drink japanese tea they way we want it here.. using hands or chopsticks or even fork , with or without sauce. If in Japan, everyone will stare at us. Must have SOP you know. We can enjoy ikan bakar sampai anak terlantar kat atas meja also nobody give a damn. Just my thought. Chill ya.
Well that's why Malaysia has few suicide cases. Most of those who committed suicide are students who are pressured by their family or debt-ridden young adults
yeah it is stupid MARA sent me warning letter every month threaten me to pay or there will be court case, i dont even have a job to pay for the loan sometimes i jsut wish im dead in an accident so my family can have insurance money and pay for the rest of the loan, its really hard to find job more than 1k pay in my state
@@LuminousSpace dude i feel you.. PTPTN also threathen me and im just graduated.. and im just got an offer from 1 company . 😂 they should give us 2 years atleast before start paying the debt.
Hi, glad to know that you're enjoying your stay in Malaysia. I'm currently studying in Japan and I'd never want to get a permanent job in Japan. It's too stressful.
Malaysia could be better if we learn from countries like Japan. New govt is a step forward but Malaysians need to change as well. One of the things I admire about Japanese is how considerate they are in everything. Being punctual, standing to one side on the escalator, being thoughtful around your neighbours, CLEANLINESS etc.
I don't know that the relaxing culture can become one of the qualities of living in malaysia. I'm proud to hear that japanese are cured from depression just because living in malaysia
"A country that cure depressions. How awesome!" I hope he's not being satirical. But I somewhat believe & feel his sincerity in saying it. Thanks for pointing this out. We Malaysian may have not realised this 😊
Malaysia actualy learned from Japan about work ethic..In 80's Malaysia promoted "looked to the east policy" into their goverment policy by chosing Japan as their role model..That is why Malaysia grown as industrial nation in 90's..Lot's of Japanese company invested in Malaysia and I used to worked in a Japanese factory named TDK..Malaysia does followed some Japan's work philosophy but they implimented it in Malaysian way..It because of the culture of Malaysian people that put in diplomacy as their main pillar, than followed by worked smart..That is why they looked quite relax..
Up to this point, if you ever noticed that, the side effect of the sun shines all year round on countries at the equator, in this case Malaysia, make us a bit sloppy, like you describe it as "slow, relaxed and laid back". Even back in Japan, you had summer breaks because of the sun's heat unless you're working adult. The temptation to take a nap is tripled here than back in Japan because the constant "sepia" mode which reminiscent of the sunset/past is really making you down. Malaysia is preferable by pensioners from other countries to settle in, spending their old age especially the first world because it is relaxing and slow paced. A note though, rust of metal objects are quite serious here compared to other countries because of the rain, salty sea breeze and the monsoon, so please be extra cautious on the metals.
Hi Aki.. I'm Malaysian but I don't even know or aware that my country is a depression cure place. what an unexpected point given by you..😂😂😂 I love your country btw. hehe.
yes about cheap part. most of stuff in malaysia is actually cheaper then other neighbor countries like indonesia and philippines ( except for alcohol and cigreet ) because our countries has among the lowest tax in the world.
Shiro Fukuroi yes.... logic: there's always people saying i'm poor.. but there's no one rich enough to said that i'm rich. andddd also our pay is wayyy lessssss... < is very true...
@@bakaweiner6956 low in prices but with low income too. i think just 35 percent of malaysian are higher than average . lots of people still considered below average.but malaysia has low inflancy and that is good.
