I agree... there are some +/-... the tires were a bummer.. those should have been in large supply before the rig was released...👍.. but, it is what it is, and us early adopters kind of knew the tires were scarce before we pulled the trigger... As for the tires wearing faster in the rear possibly causing an issue... this won't be an issue.. if you use a gear calculator the front is actually over driven 7% or so.. so with the tires wearing in the rear faster it is actually approaching the 1.1 ratio..👍.. Another fun fact about the gearing that has been brought up on the arrma forum... if you leave the pinions/ input gears where they are, and swap just the ring gear/carrier, it ends up 1.1 on the calculator..allowing the use of all the same size tire.. shimming of the carrier is a must though..👍 I've been working on some body mods as I wasn't to keen on the rear lexan pan, and the front air dam.. I will also be working on the side skirts..(don't like the emptiness behind the front wheels).. If you get a chance check out the body modifications on my channel.. you may like them ..👍 Another good video my friend, always appreciate your thoughts..✌
Thing is they caught a cold when the first infraction was released a couple of years back, to get it wrong in terms of supply a second time? They've no excuse!
You need to do work on the diffs to run this car I've been pondering for months what car to buy infraction or felony for speed runs and a 8s system.ive done got a 8s system mamba monster x and 1650 kv castle system.. trying to figure out which on will give me the best bang for my buck
You had me at the tires. I've got a few sets now but, between the tires and the diff on my Kraton EXB I hardly even considered getting the Mojave EXB until I see what's wrong with that one. Good fair review. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I just got an arrma felony and will be run it later today 😁. I adjusted to brake to 100% like you say 👍. The one thing I don’t like so far is the LVC is not adjustable. So my HV lipos need the LVC set at 3.6v, but I can’t adjust it. Looks like I will need a lipo alarm 🤦.
Great points. I agree 100%. There are people selling tires online for $150 for a set of front and rears. Ill wait because thats just nuts.. they go for like $35..
What! That's insane! That said there was a guy on facebook who got his on launch day, wore the tires out on the first day and 5 weeks later he still had no tires! I've got 3 sets of rears in but only because I had a feeling they'd have issues again, and ordered them as soon as the part number went live (Before I picked up the car!)
Yogi I'd have to think on 2 and 3 but at No.1 would be the Arrma Typhon 6S, I've owned all four versions and it's one of the most versatile cars out there, you could go bashing in the morning, change the gearing and go over 90mph in the afternoon. OFNA and Hobao also seem highly rated for bashing and speed runs (from the same car)
What I hate about the Arrma Felony is that I cant afford the whole of it 😂. The spending doesn't end at the purchase. Its the tires that u need to change more often 😂
I wish they make a version 2 of this car, but sadly, it's the end of the line for it.(DISCONTINUED) this product,or save money on somthig else? or if they get it right, for this supercar with no issues, nice show and tell.
@@tropicthunderbolt Yes, it is available, but parts are so expensive to replace everything, but, the brakes, over heating the motor and esc, that had problems, if it crashes, it could lose control of RC car, but I have to rethink this.🤔
@@glennjthompson332 the brakes just need to be turned up on the esc..and. parts and motor and esc, All depond on how u drive it...its not bad from the store. Ive hade mines and its fine. I bash. And speed run. Don't over do it. I have a blast still
The ESC should be fine set on 100% braking, if not then they've definitely installed the wrong one! If it couldn't cope with 100% braking then I'd be worried about the overall quality if you see what I mean! Good point you raised as to maybe why the reason is
There are other things that need improvement. 1) the drive shaft and bearing arrangement is stupid. A thicker, or even better a titanium shaft would be better. 2) wheel slop. Way too much slop in a high performance RTR is not good. I sometimes wonder if these defect are oversights or cost cutting measures! Either way, it puts the serious hobby guys off . Which isn't good, because that's the crowd that tends to spend the most on this hobby. Great video brother, thankyou.
