My greetings to you the Post thank you so much you doing a great job well done i love all this place it so beautiful my big thanks one again am from the Gambia
U sure did pack the right things to wear during ur vacations. It is always a pleasure to see that people get well prepared before flying to a new destination! Diving and Catamaran are on my list!
gorgeous place, spend your time on the pier watching the fishermen come in with the swordfish, and the fishermens families all mucking in selling the fish. superb and lovely people, looking forward returning hopefully feb-march
Hello Yazmin, thank you for your comments 😁 we didn't really go out clubing but we did visit a couple of good local restaurants in Sal like Columbus Ristorante & Beach. Having said this, there are some bars in Santa Maria and the prices are relatively good. Enjoy 😊
That´s totally misleading information from the local person about you not being able to see as many fish as in earlier years. They are referring to COMERCIAL fishing which happens tens of nautical miles out to sea, and NOT in areas where you would go diving to see pretty schools of smal tropical fish. You were not going diving to see huge TUNA, were you? The diving is as awesome as it has always been and you'll find a few PADI diving centers on the island. Viewers should not be discouraged by what that guide said. Anyway, it's an absolutely fantastic video. Thanks for posting it!
Hey, thank you for sharing your experience with us it was enjoyable watching! I have a question regarding vaccines since I live in Sweden, do I need to take one before arriving in Sal - kap Verde?
You don't need to take any vaccine if you are coming from a country which has no yellow fever. So if you're coming from Europe, there's no vaccine required. But if you're coming from an African country or South America, you will need your yellow fever shot.
Thank you for sharing! My girlfriend and I are photographers and we will go to Cape Verde in April. Could you chose/indicate two (beautiful to be photographed) islands for us to go? Our intention is to shoot sunny beautiful beaches. Blue sea, good sand, paradise-like vibes. And, of course, to enjoy those beaches and local culture. But we can't choose the islands still. Help us please! Thanks!
Hi Pedro, every island is very different, unfortunately we only visited Sal so far and we hope to visit other islands in the future. Sal, as you can see on this video is desert-like but still very beautiful, you can check our engagement video to see the locations that we found pretty spectacular.
The islands with the most beautiful beaches are Maio, Boavista and Sal in that order. Maio has the most beautiful beaches in all of Cape Verde but th eisland is highly underdeveloped with few facilities and is also a little hard to get to with only two flights per week. Sal and Boavista are very close to each other so you probably need not do both of them (although Sal is much more developed than Boavista if that would help you choose between the two). The island of São Vicente also has a very tiny but beautiful beach called Laginha right in the island´s main city of Mindelo Mindelo is a great city if you're into a cultural experience, so if you´re looking for more than just beach photography, you might consider São Vicente.
Hi !!! Congrats for your nice video and for your great Channel !!! I Love it 💜😁💜 I am a World Traveler and It will be a pleasure to stay connected !!! Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Hello Eren, Thank you for your comment. The costs are as follows: 4x4: We rented ours from our hotel for a day at €70/day cost for fuel was very little as the Island isn't that big Quad: You can get one from nolimitsadventure.com for €45 for 4 hours but we also find a small independent shop not far from Santa Maria for €35/4hrs Kite Surfing lessons: We used www.surfcaboverde.com and booked lessons over 3 days which worked out to about €310/person Catamaran trip: €53/person for 4 hours and that includes transfers from your hotel. We booked ours from nolimitsadventure.com/excursions/ Snorkelling was free :) You can also do a day trip with a travel agency for €23/person which would cover all the landmarks. Viewing the blue eye €3/person. Visiting the salt ponds €8/person. Watching sharks in the nursery is free but they rent out shoes for €3/person. We stayed in an all inclusive so we didn't eat out much. All in all very affordable. Anything else you'd like to know, please let us know:)
Hello Chris, thank you for your comment.. We rented ours from our hotel for a day at €70/day (cost for fuel was very little as the Island isn't that big). They only accept Visa on the Island for some reason when we were there so leave the MasterCard at home😅. You can always get cash out from the ATMs. Please do let us know if you have any more questions we will be happy to help. 😊
Thank you for the insight and sharing your travels but googling the medical facilities and the medical evacuation options it looks like a high risk location to risk having a quadbike accident 0.0
Like with everything, you need to use your common sense and know your skills and abilities. Even though off-road trails are not very difficult if you never used a quad before it's better if you join an organised tour in a Karts or Buggy. Hope that helps :)

There are no visual sights for nurse sharks as shark bay as it is known only has lemon sharks the island is 38 km in length and 16 in width not 29 and 11. this is a clip made by tourists who do their own thing in their own information capacity please people who reads this get some info as there is so much info that these people leave out get yourself a local guide or local excursion operator who makes your journey more pleasant i looked at this clip and it was made by uninformed people who seem dazed
Alex, it's an excellent video and they never claimed to be professionals, although it's clear they are well travelled. I don't think anyone realy cares exactly how long or wide the island is. But, I do agree that people should do their homework (Trip Advisor is a good general resource for tourists). I would not rely on local guides though because many of them have no clue, are not even from Sal, and are just there trying to make a living. The guides and excursion operators are certainly recommended for tourists who don't have much experience and need to be accompanied/guided which on excursions.
Hello Saba, thank you for your comments 😁 we didn't really go out clubbing but we did hear good things about Pirata Discoteca & Buddy bar. In general, there are a few bars in Santa Maria. Stay safe & Enjoy 😊
You know what annoys me that you make a video of cape verde but but South African music, our music is complet different but you white folks always do that you guys try too paint a picture of a country a nation without knowing the history or knowledge of that country before doing things like that make sure too know what your doing first.
Public nudity is a crime in Cape Verde. LOL. If you want to visit a tropical destination with nudist beaches, try Jamaica. You won't find it here anytime soon, so don't hold your breath.
