WOW, the Big Tool Rack connection to the loader arms is a BIG upgrade, thanks for sharing that. From one smaller channel to a bigger channel good video! Tim in northern TN
Thanks so much for watching and your comment, Tim! I really feel a brotherhood and sisterhood with other similarly sized channels. I'm just a regular guy hacking his way through this RU-vid thing.😂 Going to sub your channel now!
Hi John, nice top 5 challenge. The Big Tool Rack is definitely awesome. Well done. The heat broke here and is back to normal. Up here. Also a Canadian ! Just up the road from Paul at Jelen Outdoors. Good list, and nice shout outs. Have a good day.
Hi John, your video came up after I watched Top 5 Upgrades for Your Compact Tractor by Academy Farm. New tractor owner here (in SE PA also), I enjoy seeing peoples mods. Thanks for the content, nice to see what other people get and why. The Big Tool Rack is awesome, on my wish list. Forks were my first addition to the Kioti ck2620, really useful. I subscribed to your channel, Look forward to seeing what a fellow Keystone state guy is up to.
@mrbumblehill4596 Hey there!!! Thanks so much for watching and subscribing and commenting. I really appreciate it. Where are you located in Southeastern Pennsylvania?
@@thebradleysoncatbirdhill6849 Hi John, I'm above Bally off of route 100 in Berks county. The property is on the south mountain hill, property is steep. Hence the YT handle. I looked at your splitter upgrade video. Makes me think you're in the Lancaster area.
Love the camaraderie John. Great getting to know you through your channel. Challenge accepted. Huge thanks for the shout out! Before you got through the 5 best I had already said to myself that I needed to let you know that this is your best video to date IMO. I learned a ton. All the very best to you and Beth.
Howard!!!!! It was a pleasure tagging your channel. You have been such an inspiration to me.... and that encourages me to be putting more effort into my channel and building more connections through this wonderful outlet. God bless you all up north🙏
Thanks so much, Joey! I think I put so much work into deciding what to buy, it is great to hear feedback from other tractor users on their thoughts. Hope all is well with you and Kris!
Aridzona set the hottest September temperatures on record. We do not have the humidity that Pennsylvania has. I do not work outside when it's Over 95 degrees for the most part. I'm thinking a lot of lights on the tractor to operate at night.
@troyb.4101 Thanks so much for watching and for your comment!!! I am leaning much more toward the addition of lights on my tractor as well. Especially at this time of the year when it's getting dark here around six p m.
Outstanding top 5 John and well presented. I believe that is the identical pallet forks my son has. They are the ones I used in my timber frame project. The tree picker (my son's) I used in the project was an Ironcraft product, the former Titan brand. Your Titan pallet forks made me remember the tree picker brand. I love that wood chipper brand. I almost bought a used one last year, I hesitated and missed out on a great deal. That is very cool that the big tool rack mounts onto the front. The border dissappears amongst good people like yourself and other Americans hence Canadians making connections with Americans and vice-versa.
@@RossOnTheLand, well, some of them Ross🤣🤣🤣 Just kidding. You guys are all fabulous up there. We may have a separation by an international border, but we are United by our love of tractors and the outdoors in this community. Haven’t had a bad experience with any Canadians ever. Been up there dozens of times. Always made to feel completely at home.
Great add ons. Great video, thanks. What is the model of the tractor. Couldn’t see it on the bonnet. Ben @When Work Is Play is a great fella. He and I chat back and forth quite a bit. Have a great day, from another Canadian. 👍🏻🇨🇦
Hey there Noel! Thanks so much for watching and your comment! Honestly, I think I might as well just move up with you guys, LOL! The tractor is a Kubota L2501 HST. Just subbed your channel!!!
@@thebradleysoncatbirdhill6849 thanks. There are a lot of those L2501 Kubotas on the channels I think. Nice sounding tractor. And a good size for properties. I’ll subscribe to your channel.
First time here John...great list. I went in a little different direction on my top five list, but I think you are 100% right on pallet forks! I'm in Virginia and have also made a lot of great connections with our neighbors in the Great White North! Which in a way, is related to my comment. I have an LX2610, as does our Canadian friend Gordon at GP outdoors. In one of my early videos, Gord pointed out a potential problem that may or may not affect your L2501. I have a large clevis D-ring (Item #4) that I use for pulling but mainly serves as my rear tie-down point when trailering my tractor. Gordon pointed out that because the D-ring can freely pivot, sometimes it ends up angled 90°, or "perpendicular" to the tractor. In the case of the LX, that means if the three point is lowered the adjustment arms will contact the D-ring, potentially causing some damage. It's hard to tell in your video, but it looks like that may not be an issue for you. Still, might be something you want to cconfirm? I still use mine, but I no longer leave it connected all the time. Again, great list...full watch! Cheers. 👍😎
Thanks so much for watching and your comment! I just subbed your channel. You bring up an excellent point, but I have not had that experience on the L2501 so far. I really appreciate the approach you took with looking for more economical add ons!!! Where in Virginia are you?
Thanks for the sub John and the kind words. The channel takes its name from our place along one of the many tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay, although we live just outside of Richmond. I believe I heard you were in SE PA? I have relatives in Media, PA. I'm thinking you're relatively close to quite a few content creators...The Morgans, Purple Collar Life, Ed @ My Cluttered Garage (S NJ), etc. All the best, Chris.
Yes, Landpride is owned by Kubota since 2016. I don't have a wood chipper, but its on the ever growing list as well as a grapple. Put a Pole saw on the other side of your big tool rack maybe?
I just seen you chalenge review and I decided to subscribe to your channel....I love the content and I must say that I have been challenged by a friend and I will be posting a review to this.....love your review....CHEERS
Thanks so much, Marty! I am so grateful for your support of my channel! I keep telling my wife that even if you added up the cost of all of my toys, it would still be less than a sports car or a boat, LOL! I am really hoping I can get to Bunyan!
You get what you pay for. The efficiency it has allowed me to have has increased my production of firewood along with pretty much every other task I have on the property.
Good evening John, great video. I learned about some new features on the big tool rack. I can see why you love it. On another note... as much as I would love to have come up with this challenge I was not the one who originated it. I am not sure who did, but I agree it is a great idea. I was challenged by Dave @RCAFpolarexpress, Luc @orange is my new green and Noel@ Noels garden tractors and firewood. Thank you for your very kind words and your informative explanation about your 5 favorite add-ons. Like you we have a lot of wonderful cross border RU-vid friends. Have a good one, Ben
Ben!!!! Thanks for the clarification! Nonetheless, thank you for your part in all this! You can always take a page out of that book which says..." Never let the truth get in the way of a good story"! Lol!
@@thebradleysoncatbirdhill6849 Good afternoon John, We were having a lot of fun with this. I was looking really good, for a little bit there. I figured if the story continued people would start naming their babies after me. Thank you Sir, have a great week, Ben 👍👍
The day I got a set of forks changed my productivity like crazy, very versatile! Wish I got them the day I got the tractor and not wait 1 year before ordering them. Are those the new hybrid tires?
Just FYI that Titan Implements has changed their to Ironcraft. They were forced to do this due to the confusion with Titan, which is known for cheap Chinese crap implements. Also, you could argue that they are violating American companies' patents. They did a ripoff of the Big Tool Rack, which is shameful. I didn't know that Big Tool Rack came up with a FEL attachment. We almost always have a PTO Power pack on the back to run our TrailBlazer front hydraulic powered brush hog. This may cause me to buy one now. LOL
Thanks for the comment, Jim! It's probably due to inventory and supply, but my Kubota dealer is still selling the Titan Implement brand. That is really good information!!!! Thanks for sharing!
