Danny Winget , love your videos! You help me convince the wife to buy tech all the time. You should try the GE cafe wifi connect fridge. It doesn't have a huge touch screen like Samsung or LG, but you can control certain things via the GE app or even using ifttt in conjunction with lifx for alerts. You can also schedule hot water. Mine has a Keurig Brewer attachment.
I love that silver trash can in the right! The custom thin trash compartment on the recycling version seems weird to me. Some of the smart knobs out there that turn your dumb oven into a smart one are interesting. I'd love to see a review about those! Also your kitchen looks fantastic in 4k. Love those counter tops my man.
It would be awesome to have a rechargeable liquid sensor pump for our kitchen. We have the trash can and love it! Another upgrade in the kitchen would be 🔥🤙🏽. We just added some hue lights under the counter and completely changed the aesthetic of the kitchen and entire apartment. Love watching people transform rooms with good lighting.
The sensor can with voice and motion response looks AMAZING! I don’t know what it is about living with boys, but the trash can always ends up a mess! This item would be a dream.
"you dont have to worry about stepping on a pedal or anything" Because yeah, that always worry'd me. Now i have a trashcan that 24/7 has to listen to everything in the house in order to open it. My life is complete.
True, I doubt i would get it for myself, but i may get either this one or a similar one in the future as a nice gift for my parents - this would be great for handicapped people or even old folks in general who are limited in mobility and/or strength. I'd bet that there are plenty of plausible applications for a legitimate need for an actively listening trash can, but just to have one to tell the world that you spent $200 on a trash can to make yourself a smart home is pointless and pathetic.
It's about reducing too. Smaller waste cans with dual compartments for recycling and waste, really make you think about what you throw away. If you get a smaller waste can, it's only worth it to reduce how much you buy, so that the small space is not a problem. My mom and I recycle what we can, then reduce. That way, we are only taking out a bag of trash every 4-5 days. We only go to the dump with a small 13 gallon bag that's not even full!
Solid work Danny! We purchased that trash can and enjoy it. It’s a bit trigger happy with random ambient background noise or the TV. Simple human customer service has been very helpful and they back their product with a warranty. We are waiting for our replacement without charge.
I love that trash can. My whole house is becoming a smart home and it’s always harder to innovate in the kitchen space. This Simple Human can will sell my family on why Smart Tech in every room is necessary.
I'm loving the Simplehuman 58 L sensor can. My current can is over 10 years old and is starting to have a scent that I can't get out of it. But this can looks amazing! I use Simplehuman things in my bathroom and I have had no complaints.
The coolest thing about this video was the trash can! We haven’t found a great trash can and just currently use a dinky walmart one with grocery bags! Most likely going to pick up the one compartment version for our house!
My favorite Simplehuman item is definitely the single compartment sensor can (I make a lot of trash). As far as other products to review, my suggestion would not exactly be high tech, but I am always looking for specialized purpose storage items and cabinets. I am considering a kitchen remodel, and looking for ideas.
There's a great connected weighing scales called Drop (I think). You follow the recipes on the app and it connects to the scales to correctly weigh hour ingredients. Well worth checking out!
I like the touch can with the voice command. It would be super helpful when I am trying to throw away a wet item that is dripping and need the can open before I get to it.
I just received this trashcan today and since the time of your video, they've updated it and now it can "close" and "stay open" by command. So there's 3 commands now in Dec 2019: "Open can," "Close can," and "Stay open." The stay open command blinks a blue light to let you know it is paused. Then when you walk away from the sensor it closes or you can just say "close."
6 yrs ago we both the first one... Of course not this brand. Still works and we love it. This open with voice..... Simply cool and yes many times can be useful.
Sorry, I don't have any new tech info for you. I found your channel and this is how I'm informed of products. Liked all products but you really got me on the coffee maker. wow! Thank you.
CES is just around the corner. I can't wait to see the latest and greatest! My dream innovation is something like the wand that can scan my groceries as I put them in the fridge and tell me when things expire, as well as integrate to Amazon Echo Show and tell me what I can make with ingredients I have. My favorite simple human product is the double trash can in stainless black... searching for reviews brought me to this video... now I want all the other toys too! Helpful tech is awesome.
M favourite SimpleHuman product is the double compartment trash can. It's simply put the best trash can out there. Great design and awesome build quality.
Great vid Danny. I have had a automatic lid opening trash can for about 12 years and I think it is a Simple Human brand but not sure. My automatic lid opening can works just like it did the day I bought it and I love it.
My dream household innovation would be a robot assistant that could assist with laundry and cooking meals. It would also be security for your household.
It would really help if you could list all of the products (make and model) you showcased in your video, so I can quickly look them up vice having to rewind the video to pinpoint the exact time where a specific product was mentioned. Otherwise, the video was really informative, concise, and intuitive. Great job, and definitely looking forward to part two of the video series!
We bought a simplehuman trashcan about 12 years ago. Unfortunately the motiin sensor stopped working and the lid broke so we are now lidless. Love the recycling option jist affraid the bin is too small for the amount of recycling we do. The larger can wouod be perfect.
I love that dual bin the brushed steel colour, just one question though can you just set it to open via voice? As a dogs nose over it would cause it to open
Soooo Danny If you want better coffee all you have to do is decide whether you want to use the filter basket that comes with the maker OR a paper filter. But not both. I'll see you in the next one. LOL
Hey @Danny Winget I love all your tech videos, this one was by far the coolest.. I checked out Simplehuman and they had some cool stuff like the organizer compartment racks and also the wall mount grocery bag dispenser, and then peered with the smart trash can, my kitchen would be on its way to looking good..So, pick me..lol but no really I have a small kitchen and this smart trash can would be perfect ..but keep up the awesome job with keeping us updated on the new gadgets, can't wait to see what you bring next..
SimpleHuman is the Apple of home products, the lighted mirror I bought for my wife was her favorite Christmas present last year. Normally I wouldn't spend $250 on a place to throw away trash and recycling but that would fit perfectly in our kitchen and save us from leaving the recycling on the counter until we run out of space and make a trip outside. Hope I'm able to win one of these cans!
That cutting board will be great for meal prep. It's not smart but I really like that simplehuman steel dishrack. Most dishracks look really cheap and never fit into a kitchen decor.
Refrigerator: Samsung Family Hub Fridge LG or Samsung microwave Dishwasher/dryer: Samsung FlexWash and FlexDry Samsung Dual SmartOven/ LG Signiture Oven
Smart Range and Smart Dishwashers also exit. With Zwave (Smartthings or Vera Plus) you can control the garbage disposal. Just replace the switch with a smart switch.
Simple human presents 1) smart dish organizer (dries dishes with fan sensors) 2) smart heater/ac with voice commands ( honey it’s to cold can u get up and turn it off.... Alexa turn off ) 3)Smart cabinets voice controlled to open ( open cabinets to put things away) 4)smart water filters with voice commands “ pour me a drink”
YOU WOULD LOVE THE JURA COFFEE MAKER. ITS A SERVING WITH OPTIONS OF THE BARISTA.... BEST THE STARBUCKS EVER... ONLY THING ITS NOT HOT ENOUGH. BUT QUALITY ITS AMAZING FOR THE COFFEE SNOBS
