Top 5 Underrated Games (That NEVER Received a Sequel)

Dayz gone need a sequel and sleeping dogs

I can vouch for Days Gone not being buggy at release - I have 8 hours of game captured directly without cuts from day one release... Also, SLEEPING DOGS IS AMAZING waaaay better than Yakuza and similar games - by not being that much childishly over the top that it starts sucking

Days Gone was great. As an outlier I would pick Star Ocean Divine Force. Not perfect by any means, but it smells of 8bit/16bit JRPG in the best way possible. That would excite one half of the people, scare away the other. But I fear it might be the last SO game because of the policy change at SE.

The card system was the REASON i bought Midnight Suns. What i didnt like was all the bullshit running around compiund and having to unlock pathways. The card combat was Chefs Kiss

From these 5 games I was mostly interested in Midnight suns, but I still haven't bought it for Xbox even discounted, because I haven't bought any games at all for Xbox since late 2022 anymore after my first contact with Xbox Finland support regarding my long term situation with Elder Scrolls Online and the embarrassing developer Zenimax Online Studios, I might get it for the coming PS5 pro depending how the console will actually be. I noticed I have Sleeping dogs the definitive edition, which I've probably bought discounted at some point and need to install and try finally. Days gone I've not been too interested in overall, Playstation allstars battle royal and Mod nation racers I haven't even been aware of at all, this probably because I haven't had any Playstation console since PS2.

Really solid list.👍 I agree with Sleeping Dogs. I got it back in 2012 and thought it was great. Excellent melee combat and I liked the story. For me whilst it wasn’t mentioned has to be Forspoken. I know people turn their nose up at Forspoken, but I didn’t think it was anywhere near as bad as the media were trying to portray it. Infact it was one of the few games I finished last year and enjoyed it for what it was, but a sequel is extremely unlikely. I thought it was cool. It was kinda like Final Fantasy, but it also had its own thing going on.

They call it freakers not zombies because i think, they got another way for zombie interpretation if we got a sequel.

In case you weren't aware Xvault, Sleeping Dogs is already technically a sequel. I'm referring to True Crime Streets of LA and True Crime New York City. The next one was True Crime Hong Kong. Activision cancelled it and Square Enix bought the right to publish it and renamed it to Sleeping Dogs because Activision owned the name. So it was always a spiritual successor to those first 2 games, they even all have the same theme that you are always an undercover cop in it. :)

Out of Xvault's top five, I agreed on Days Gone. For me, I want my sequel to BLOODBORNE!

Playstation definitely needs to revisit All Stars With all then new characters they can put in the game now, it would be worth it. They own EVO now, debut another game there, make it deep enough for the the fighting game enthusiasts to get into while still maintaining family friendly vibe, it could end up with a bigger following.

Godhand should be on this list, Can't get more underrrated than that.

I got PS all stars free with my Vita memory card. It was great.
