One time I was at a campgrounds where the gift shop sold little bags of paydirt for $5 or $10 per bag. Out back was this giant sluice that was constantly running, for all the children to dump their paydirt in and look for gold and gems. While I sat at a picnic table, I noticed tons of kids just dump their whole bag in there, grab a shiny rock or two, and walk away from it. So I walked over there and literally just scooped like 5 lb of concentrate material down the sluice into my hat and ran it myself. I found a ton of little crappy gems and gold flakes it was awesome.

I'm not a particularly scaredy person, but I am always keenly aware of my vulnerability when i am crouched down over a creek with my back to the woods. One time I was just absolutely certain I could feel something eyeballing me. Took me a good 15 minutes of watching before I spotted that squirrel, lol

Here in Southern Arizona I always have my Dog with me if I don't have an Over watch while I am Prospecting or swinging my Metal Detector because it is always a Good idea to have backup

I watched The Ballad of Buster Scruggs on Netflix a week ago. One part was a pretty good dramatisation of "All Gold Canyon" by Jack London. Great story. I can only imagine what you could do with a Hollywood budget. We have a claim in New Brunswick that's reported to have given up some gold back in the 1800s. Unfortunately, there's 30 cm of snow and 30 cm of frost on and in the ground up there. We staked the claim for graphite...any gold we find will be a bonus. I'm gonna try the All Gold Canyon method when I'm up there in May/June/July.

That was a good one..... been following you for years out here in Phoenix. I'm the guy that commented on your trip to NY back a while ago to see family as you stood in front of the Prospect Expwy sign in the subway on Brooklyn.side Been prospecting in the Bradshaws and not doing quite as good as you. Actually not even close. My friend has a mine claim in Cave Creek and is doing pretty good Have a great Christmas my friend

Thought I was watching a remake of a Mel Brooks movie where only the mime, Marcel Marceau, had a speaking part. I've never seen you so quiet. Love your videos; but they can quickly eat up so much of your material . . . it's like being a comedian travelling from one dinner theater to another, then you spend ten minutes on TV and it seems everyone has heard all your best material. That was an oldie but a goody... It's been so long since I've seen that one I almost for got all of the tips... I like the end Nevada Jack gets his gold the easy way, watch someone else do all the work them you just walk up and say thank you and take the gold... LOL,LOL... Hi, There is gold in Ohio... The Lost Dutchman Mining Association (LDMA) has a mining claim In Ohio for its members to use. My wife and I camped there for two weeks and had fun looking for gold in the creek there. I actually found some gold there...! Look up the Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA) for more info. Their claims are for members only but they do have times when guests are welcome. Hope this helps.

Lol man you are hilarious but that's what I'll be doing I got my Garrett pan got my kid I'm heading up to the Black Hills creeks found a bunch of bed Rock up there went on the BLM website for abandoned claims found some areas up there where there's no claims around the mines and I'm going to pan like crazy soon as spring hits every weekend even every day after work I'm not quitting until I get me some gold LOL I want that gold thanks to you and Mr Dan Hurd I found a new hobby
