Let's add my personal experience to this insight! I restarted my city from scratch (original one was lvl 31 city with near 320000 population). Now, the obvious question is why did I restart. Ok, so first of all, I actually do care abt all aspects of the game including cargo, airport, wars, CoM..cause I think designing of the city becomes 500 times easier and enjoyable and satisfying if u do these!! However, I committed the biggest possible mistake of unlocking Frosty Fjords region. Man, you won't trust me, but my 60% global hq got flooded with stupid fish and fish cans😢😢. My chance of finding expansion items became 10x harder!! My storage and city expansion got fucked up within a week😭😭 Plus, add to that, CoM all easy tasks kinda vanished, and useless tasks like upgrading a Frosty fjords zone, Earn fish simeoleons etc. came up!! War deliveries became almost impossible, bcz half of global hq is actually crap!! I basically realised this game has become kinda unplayable from here on. I RESTARTED YESTERDAY. I HAVE REACHED LEVEL 9, UNLOCKED STORAGE TILL 65 ALREADY!! And now, I ain't unlocking a single Regional till level 99+all 4 Maxis Manors are placed!!
The other tip, I’d like to add is related to Epic projects. Do not use any building worth less than 2pts. The 1 pt buildings are a waste of time. During an epic project, the game requests the same volume and difficulty of items for 1pt buildings as it does for 4pt buildings.
Awesome info - thank you! I wish I had known this before I started playing. It’s too late to save myself from mistakes 1 & 2, but I’m following 3+ from here on out.
Or play like i do...just to build a good looking city and gave fun while doing it. Sure you need patience like yoda, but if your not in a hurry and go on with your daily business you get to see it grow slowly but steadily. Good advice though!
lol the more I listen to you the less fun this game seems 😅 Just recently started this game and wanted to check some info while I had a free moment.. In all the guide/tip videos you make this seem like a hard work instead of a game. 😁
Well I mean yeah but u can play this game with no or little structure. And that has its own hell. Like NeVer being able to win com, always being broke, cant afford any buildings, constantly struggling to just play the basics. Etc so yah it does take hard work to be good. But that kinda the point isn't it.? I mean I'm the one making the guides not u. U guys just have to follow them. Lol I guess point being how much of the game do you expect to just be handed to you?
@@missyannesimcitybuildit yeahh sorry no offense, I've played games competitively before too and I understand this. When it's competitively, it's not simply about fun, you want to be the best at it. Just when I think about Sims, Simcity games I never thought - competitive gaming. Didn't expect it to be this game to be that deep and complicated, gave me anxiety that I have messed everything up already 😂 But I should have expected it from mobile gaming nowadays - all the games are online/competitive and all for free, meaning full with micro transactions or ads 😅
damn this game seems hard. Unfortunately for me, I did unlock the desert region already :/ came back after leaving in 2016, I had no idea there were new items for those regions :(
I'm at level 36 with 350k population...most of my population include landmarks, landscape, gambling, education, etc. is this a good city? A city with a population that is mostly from boost?
i am level 32, population abt 390k and 130 storage. i only stayed playing less than 2 months ago and i restarted once already to design better. but only now i’m watching videos on tips and i realized maybe i should restart… help!
i thought it would be good to get to higher levels. i never thought it would come to haunt me. i also was anxious to unlock all the cool features and i wanted a higher population. is it worth restarting or should i continue and stop building buildings? (also i only unlocked frosty region but i haven’t built anything)

@@patrycjazabiciel9554 i gave up and quit 😂 this game is way to complicated if you want to grow huge, successful. i wanted to play just to build huge cities. cant do that anymore. and it was a massive waste of time
