Damn man, I’m really happy I found your channel. I’ve had a low-key obsession with both the card and character of Yubel for a LONG time and the production quality of your videos are great. Super excited to part of the Yubel community right now. Also, once I get the accumulated cards I am personally determined to make a 60 card Yubel, sacred beast, Hero deck. It probably won’t be optimal, but I’m not gonna care.
I've been a long-time Yubel player (pretty much since the cards were released.) I've experimented with Unchained, but I underestimated the synergy it has with Yubel. Thank you for showing me that combo in this video!
A few hours I saw a Yubel decklist that won a local OCG tournament and yeah, it was running Unchained cards. Gotta test them. 🏃🏽♂️ Cool video as always!
YES! The OCG are doing some really innovative stuff with Yubel. Some are even using Nadir servant to get Yama straight to the grave. It's crazy! That's why there's so much untapped potential that needs to be explored. I'll make more videos on it once I've done more research.
Im really new to the Yubel archetype, I really wanna try it in my locals as soon as the new set will be dropping so this video really fired me up! Subscribed!
I do play MD, but I don't have enough gems to make Yubel decks. I'm currently saving up my gems for when the new Yubel support comes to MD before I start making MD content.
massive respect for actual closed captions. there are way bigger channels out there that refuse to do it, even for their scripted content also yubel exodia is the best variant. you can use a piece of exodia as a small world bridge and mature chronicle can grab it back, which is hilarious and bound to confuse your opponents, and isn't that what really matters?
Oh snap that's actually pretty spicy sounding, I'm defiantly gonna try it out at some point. Also doing CC is super time consuming, so I only have time to do it for a few videos, maybe some day when I have time I'll cc all of them. But since you mentioned it I'm defiantly more motivated to do so.
@38YubelMaster1 honestly for live commentary? i totally get it. its rough. for scripted content? i imagine its still nontrivial to time, sure, but big creators hire editors. youre a one person team captioning your own stuff, so for people like me it saves me a lot of rewinding. i really do appreciate it! but yeah mature chronicle grabbing back nonspecific banished cards is actually really cool and underexplored, even outside of exodia. not a lot of cards just let you freely grab back face downed banishes stuff like that! desires becomes way stronger to activate after deck thinning, the ten cards you banish just being 10 cards you can grab at any time without giving information to your opponent. a lot of exciting stuff to explore with mature chronicle, and I'd be excited to see you brew up some experimental stuff!!
I really gotta say, 2½ out of your 5 picks are good. I tested the new support for Yubel for months now and definetely gotta say that the most effective variants really are the pure and the Elemental Hero/Neos variant by far. It also goes well with stuff like Predaplant and Dark Lair. So I definetely agree on Sacred Beasts and HERO. I half agree on Unchained. My problem with unchained is, that Nightmare Pain will sometimes be a bit clunky since many of the Unchained cards are not Dark, but I haven't tested much with it. On Fire King as well as Nepthys however I fully disagree, since they have basicly no synergy except popping the normal Yubel in hand which in itself is pretty.. Weak. If one really wants to use the new mechanics of the support, Fire King and Nepthys are both a nogo. Also again, no Dark monsters, means Nightmare Pain is a pain in the butt to use. With all that said: I'm dieing of hype. Literally.
To be honest you aren't wrong about the fire archetypes not being better than pure Yubel. I'm probably never going to include them in builds post Phantom Nightmare. I tested out Fire King Yubel, pre Phantom Nightmare and the synergy isn't really there because of the attribute clash, but the deck still works cos Fire Kings are just good and I think it's somewhat competitive. You just don't see Yubel very often cos you have to hard draw it. The deck I built uses the new structure deck and some unchained cards. I'm currently editing a deck profile for it. Also you underestimate the Unchained stuff. it's really good for Yubel, mainly because of Yama. It doesn't take up that much deck space since you can just make Yama using any 2 fiends, and then search the rest of your combo. Give it a try.
Thanks, It's been so long since I wait for your new yubel content. Keep it up 🙌 I actually run yubel, sacred beast + mini unchained deck in ocg format ,the synergy is really good but I don't understand the combo & end board if I go first. May be I'm too relying with going 2nd & board breaker cards.
I think those 2 cards are core in every Yubel Deck. Once per turn summon from grave, and a double normal summon, 1 card combo into Yama, it's too good. @@imandabayu4712
@@38YubelMaster1 agree, but I think we do rely on 2 card combo? I'm not sure... I've tried it with beckoning. Double normal summon it, link into yama to add that red unchained but If don't have unchained trap then it's nothing we can do.
Well after that you can discard the red dog for opening of the spirit gates. This way you get to set and activate Wailing of the unchained souls. Then link Yama and the card you summon with opening into Unchained soul of Anguish. Trigger Wailing to pop itself, to trigger Yama in grave, then Yama summon another body and you can go into a link 4 (either Apolousa or Unchained Abomination) So yeah you can still do stuff as a 1 card combo. @@imandabayu4712
Tour guide is really good but in my experience, using your normal summon on the evil eye main deck monsters is more often going to fill your field easier with their effects , plus tour is easy to interrupt.
Im back to Yugioh after like 11+ years, starting with getting my twin 6 year olds decks and playing around. I saw Yubel on Links and thought they were so badass when I started to relearn the rules and new stuff and then found your channel and went down the rabbit hole. I decided this will be my big deck I go for lol Starting fresh with no back log of cards what would be a list you’d recommend me to start with ordering to learn to start before the new support inevitably comes out?? All 5 of these decks look fun just curious your opinion
That's such a nice story, thanks for stumbling across my channel. I recommend getting your younger siblings a Speed Duel Box, it has 6 decks inside and extra cards to rebuild decks. Speed duel is just like Duel Links and a much smaller card pool so Half as complicated as TCG. There is also a 2-player starter set coming out this month which you can look into (has a nice reprint of Zeus in it too). As for yourself I would usually recommend picking up 3 of the best structure deck to get used to the game again. That's what I did with Trap Trix last July when I returned to YGO. It was simple enough where I knew what I was doing, so everything I was learning was about the rest of the meta game while playing. However, since we are so close to the launch of Phantom Nightmare, I would just recommend starting with the new Yubel deck. For that, check out my first deck profile for it that I made 4 months ago. Cards you need to buy before PHNI: 1 each of the 3 original Yubel forms 3 Super Poly 3 Dark Beckoning Beast and 3 Opening of the Spirit Gates 3 Piri Reis Map One for One Garura, and Muddragon S:P Little knight (most expensive staple) Gustav Max Muckracker from the Underworld Salamangreat Almiraj You can buy these as singles from TCG Player (USA) or CardMarket (EU) I also recommend picking up some Unchained cards: Unchained Soul Lord of Yama Unchained Soul of Rage Unchained Soul of Sharvara Unchained Soul of Shyama 1 each of the 3 spell and traps that have "Unchained" in the name Because these cards can be used as a small engine in Yubel decks. It's good to have additional cards in your own collection so that you can change up your deck as you play. So I recommend buying a booster box of Rarity Collection, since it gives you all the staples you need for your Main Deck and Side Deck, as well as give you high rarity cards to use as Trade Bait. You can also consider buying a booster box of PHNI when it launches to get most of the Yubel Deck core, then buy and trade the rest of the cards you need from the set. If you are on a budget and can't afford a booster box, then it's perfectly fine to buy every card you need as singles, and maybe wait for a reprint on expensive cards like S:P Little Knight by using alternatives like Knightmare Unicorn. But an SP reprint is going to be a long time from now, so if you can afford it, it's worth it to be competitive. I was planning on making a buy guide for building a Yubel Deck, but I am waiting for the Rarities to be revealed for PHNI. I actually just added Yubel 1 day ago into my Main HERO Deck to perform a Neos Kluger Summon. Works pretty great so far tho keep in mind im on Duellinks cuz I dont have nearly as many cards in Master
oh yeah they recently added Kluger to Duel Links. I do want to get into Duel Links some day, I just don't have the time atm cos I need to prepare for PHNI release in the TCG.
First of All i need to say very good edited Video i like it A lot. I testing the New yubel cards for safe 4 weeks maybe more. the unchained cards are very good but Not As a complete deck with yubel As a engine way better. Currently i try with Horus and chimera cards very interessting synergy aswell.
Horus and Chimera defiantly aren't top 5 but thanks for pointing them out. I kinda wanna try out the chimera cards with Yubel, but I don't expect much other than having fiends for fusion material. As for Horus, can you explain the synergy there?
@@38YubelMaster1 its not a synergy its more like a bridge between spirit of yubel and the grinder,, then the hand is not availible two both cards in the same time, to still play the game or making a board for the enemy hard to out without floodgates and the help of barricade blocker providing more safty for the continuse spells on the field like sark, nightmare pain, chronicle ...
Yeah I've been meaning to look into that. Will eventually make a video on it, I just need to do research and play testing so it will be out some time this year XD
that's a pretty cool combo to try to use both unchained and yubel together but my main issue with that will be: 1) how much room for non-engine do you have in the deck and how big of an unchained and Yubel core are you playing? 2) I simply don't like the unchained variant because Tourguide is the only way to get both sides of the engine to work together. I made test deck list that does have both Ariane and Tour Guide to gain access to the yubel part while also having synergy with Nightmare pain. Ariane + Big welcome only loses to Ash on her effect since you can use Big welcome in GY effect to have her dodge imperm and veiler and if it does go through Big Welcome turns into a very good interruption since Yubel is a lv 8 or Higher fiend to bounce any card your opponent has.
I haven't tested it myself but if you start with any 1 of the sacred beast cards into yama, all you need is 2 unchained cards in hand to summon Cherubini after that, one of which gets searched from the Yama you just summoned. so it feels pretty doable in my head.@@Gilgamesh-em6ru
@@38YubelMaster1 1st thats a big engine requirement you have in the deck with no room for non engine. Unless you go over 40 and that doesn't make sense in this kind of deck since it isn't combo or benefits from going over 40. 2nd the board is significantly weaker in that scenario since you would need to fiend lock yourself and have a really tight extra deck. Sure the only super poly target you might need is yubel fusion but going 2nd that isn't going to work.
Yeah you're not wrong. I'm mainly talking about a hybrid Unchained Yubel build that's for fun. If we are talking about the most optimal Yubel build, then we probably want to keep the unchained cards to a minimum. We defiantly need Yama in the deck somehow, whether that be with Nadir Servant or actually link summoning it. @@Gilgamesh-em6ru
When I was youg I played Nephtys with Yubel. DO NOT do this. Because you CANT play support or defensive cards with him. So it means the opponent can kill you often in one turn if he uses a deck with good speed.
I’m an average duelist i am a gold rank player in master duel i watched yugioh original and all the rest of the spin offs tbh i wanna js have fun wit the yubel deck after i start playing again but the yubel effect to summon the other monster is js so confusing I can’t understand it I wish i had smb to help me normally I build my own decks but I can’t wit yubel im so lost
Yubel (the original one). During the end phase you have to tribute a different monster or else Yubel gets destroyed. And if it's destroyed by it's own effect, then they don't summon out the 2nd form (Terror Incarnate). If you destroy Yubel by any way except for it's own effect, then you can summon Terror Incarnate from Hand, Deck or GY. Hope that makes sence. You can just run a 1-3 card Unchained Engine, it's what I'm doing for my main "Pure" Yubel deck. But all of these decks are Hybrid decks, so they are just for fun and creative decks, not to remain pure to Yubel.
