They do a very good job and I've been watching them diligently since 2013 sometimes I eat I just play one of their videos that are very long and why do the dishes and listen to it
I know this is probably the most obvious thing I can say but the road to hell is paved with good intentions (assuming they had good intentions to begin with that is)
I agree with this list, with one overlooked level. The Hive in Alien: Isolation. I remember the first time I got to that point, seeing what the Xenomorphs did to the reactor level, and almost immediately turning the game off because of my crippling fear to go any further.
God... I remember playing Condemned for the first time. Truly a scary experience, but also a great game. I know the second installment wasn't as good, but still I would love to see this series get rebooted or even a third installment. I miss those games.
According to the internet, you can actually buy the rights to the condemned series from the owner if you can convince him that you have a good idea for the game. But I would love to see a condemned 3 as well.
If you would like to support us [ www.patreon.com/Tats_TopVideos ] Forgot to add SERIES 1, at the start. ah well. So I apologise for the late Halloween video. What happened? Well on my birthday in October, my pc broke. i had it since 2007. I ended up buying a new alienware pc, but on day 1 the fan was faulty and making an insane ammount of noise. So I had to wait another 4 days and buy another computer. This time an HP Omen. It's really great, and from now on video production should be quicker, and quality has increased. Things were on hold for a while until I could get most of the programs and files and models back. Since the hardrive on the old computer was corrupted and i had to use a recovery program. Hope everyone enjoys this video.
The imperial sewers legitimately terrified me when I was a child. I refused to set one foot in the water because of the sounds those monsters made when you killed them.
Im glad AvP 2010 is finally getting some of the recognition it deserves. That game was easily one of the scariest action games ever, in the same vein as F.E.A.R. I still remember the disturbing audio logs and the desperation of every marine you cone across, and the Predator boss fight? Damn.
Thanks, I was checking first before correcting him myself. Dead Hand is a mini-boss of the Shadow Temple but can be counted as the boss of Bottom of the Well, which is what they probably got missed up about. Easy mistake.
So you've been a fan for 7 years? I find that confusing since the earliest video I can find on this channel is 6 years old. And that was about choosing units, litex and darkvale. Every video after that is 5 years or less... First good video in my opinion was several videos after the earliest and it was top 22 scariest glitches....
Heads up, they aren’t kidding when they say not to turn your back to a librarian There’s a mechanic where you stare it down, back up when it shows it’s dominance, and (I think) crouch (or don’t I forget), if you don’t follow these steps (a character briefly mentions this on the way there, the strat to avoid fighting them, so listen to a character when they bring up librarians)
Why do the best locations to scavenge for supplies are always the scariest and disturbing? It's simple - just like in life, you need to put in effort in order to get the best, even sometimes cross some boundaries, and, to some, it's more comforting and safer to settle for scraps. That's the point of a survival horror game - you want the best stuff? Well, you need to man up and venture into those dark and scary locations or you could just take the safer route and be content with low tier items. Besides, wouldn't it feel more rewarding if there was a challenge that you need to overcome in order to get the best loot which, in this case, being prepared to face the horrors that lurk in the darkest of corners? Game developers know this, which is why they always make the best loot the hardest to obtain.
For me, it was always the second blood trail level in Max Payne. When you'd fall off of the path and the baby would sceam? Yipes. A friend and I to this day STILL have a running joke where we yell "TURN THE LIGHT ON" in a high pitched voice. Good times.
The encounter in St. Cristobal hospital from Alien Isolation still causes heart palpitations when i remember it. That was one of the best survival horror games i've ever played... As always, beautifully designed and intriguing video, your channel definitely stands out in these types of youtube videos, and is also very underrated.
I’m so glad to come back to this channel a year later and see that you guys are still making videos!!! And as soon as I heard the robot at the beginning, I got a rush of nostalgia. Thank you Tats Top Vids.
Moira Asylum is just a wanna be Shalebridge Cradle from a wannabe Thief game. I feel bad for the poor soul who had to slog their waybthrough that terrible game just to get the footage. Aside from that, though, excellent work as always, Tats and crew. Happy late Halloween.
Zombi is one of the few games that actually made me quite scared of zombies. The atmosphere, realism and sense of dread can be very panic inducing at times, which makes the zombies a big threat.
The thing that makes me love your channel so much is that the way you create your horror videos. They literally will psychologically bother me. That’s awesome! Keep up the good work, Tats! 😁😁
So glad you listed original Thief in TOP 5, I mean.. its a THIEF game literally. When I first played it back then the Asylum caught me off guard, and at moments I felt hesitant and even petrified to progress further in the game. (Slowly but surely made it through lol) Truly one of the most shocking experiences in my gaming history for me.
I knew lab X-18 would be on here. For a game that doesn't specifically focus on horror, s.t.a.l.k.e.r. has a lot of creepy levels. I can play through Resident Evil 7, Amnesia and Outlast without so much as a flinch, but I still hesitate with every step I take inside lab X-18.
I was actually both surprised and delighted with the number one pick. Because I own Zombi and going through that section actually made me terrified. I honestly can't bare seeing corpses of deceased children, especially at a nursery home. As for this video, it blew my expectations completely and I'm glad I've watched it. Great narration, especially from Burger and Mongoose, it was just bloody fantastic. (I swear that wasn't a forced pun.)
Depends how easy you're getting scared, i mean i've played many of the games on this list already and didn't think they were scary. I'm not easy scared though.
Man a lot of Fear on this list. must've been I great game series to get so many spots on this list. I wouldn't know since I have too much fear to play it. heheheheh
I just adore your horror themed videos! I just can't take my eyes off the screen when I (re) watch these videos! The unsettling music mixed with the soothing voices gives the videos that... special video! Not to mention that, as a horror fan, your videos give me video-games I should check out! Thank you for making your horror content when you do it! Please, keep it up!
I was mortified by Pickman's Gallery. The first time I went' I was there and tried to bear through it. 5 minutes later, I had to leave because I was so genuinely unnerved that I couldn't continue.
This was a fantastic video, i especially love how you used the footage from scariest enemies and scariest bosses videos (I think) and I know/played some of these games in this video, like the alien vs predator and the last of us (just a thought but I think the thing that came from the fountain at the end in the time spliters future perfect section would be "perfect" for another scary boss video) (pun intended)
My pick is the Chaos Angel Zone from Sonic Advance 3. It's an unconventional choice, but every time I play those acts, I'm filled with terror. The asthetic is dystopian, the constant death traps and bottomless pits don't give you much room to breathe, and the music is haunting. Sonic Advance 3 is the first Sonic game I ever played, and I still love it to this day, but I don't normally go back to that zone unless the volume is off, and only when I'm completely concentrated on the gameplay.
Been watching this channel for years and you guys still manage to make quality content. Hands down one of the best top list channels on RU-vid (if not the best), keep up the good work!
One that really freaked me out recently happened while revisiting Oblivion after years of not playing it. During one of the Daedric quests, you visit a place called Arkved's Tower. You'll eventually come across a door that leads to a small platform that's somehow suspended in the middle of an endless black void, with dozens of dismembered corpses hanging from ropes. Can't remember the exact name of the room, but it really caught me off guard, especially considering I had no memory of it whatsoever.
Can't believe Zombi got the first place! I remember walking through the kindergarten where I reached the locker jumpstart cut scene! I felt as if my heart jumped out my chest 😂
I really enjoy seeing some great research and i think to myself " Is there any great Top 50 done with research and with awesome Narration? " Well you guys are the only ones who put grand effort in making great top videos and i really enjoy some spooky videos with poem like narration. Also you guys made all this narration like reading a poem without a sweat Have a great thanks giving day to you guys👏👏👍😀 ( Btw the way NDL Moongoose is awesome becuase of his deep dramatic voice that made me imagine him in medelivil time and that he can make a fandub in any deep voice characters, hmm even tirek from My little Pony Friendship Is Magic, my favroute show and pretty damn awesome )
Im serious... F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate is the most surprisingly scariest from the first trilogy. The first time playing it I was like "jesus christ, just give me a break from the jump scares!!!"
Let's show tats and the crew lots and lots of our love and support as their subscribers and fans and help boost their subscriber count higher than ever i really enjoy this channel and want to help it grow with enough positivity from my message and encouragement from the subs cx this channel is now my #1 channel for crazy and insane playlist
Ph.D Dylan Honestly, it’s still pretty creepy to me, especially with the minimalist music and the haunting moaning. It’s easily my favorite level in Conker’s Bad Fur Day.
The Shalebridge Cradle is hands down one of the best horror levels ever made. I remember getting Thief 3 for my 16th Birthday and genuinely feeling dread when I got about half way into that mission not realising what lay ahead haha. A true classic!
Oh, god, the Shalebridge Cradle. Ya know, I really have to question the logic of going into a chargrilled orphanage/insane asylum in the hopes that there's something valuable inside. It's like seeing a cookie in the middle of a freeway and thinking "I'm having that".
I love this channel. I still remember watching the scariest enemies in games and the Easter egg one. This is what got me into scary games never stop making these please! 🙌🏼😭
