"Exolon", what a perfect game amazingly designed. They did a great choice arranging the colors without the usual juxtaposition and blend that many games suffered from. Also love the graphic design on "Nonamed". Those Barbarian stunts still shock me to this day. Btw, I never met anyone who could be able to finish "Army Moves" or many of those Dynamic games ("Camelot Warriors", "Game Over", etc).
So many memories here, and I had most of these. Tai Pan would always crash on my +2 whenever you got into a sea battle. 'Barbarian' brings back more memories of perving over Maria Whittaker on the box :))
Oooooopppsss! My bad! English is not really my native language so I apologise for this one. I missed this completely. Will fix the description at least.
I'm planning to do a second version of these early videos so I can use the real aspect ratio and 128k sound where available. These are one of the earliest videos of the channel, so I wasn't really thinking about this. ;)
You are correct. I made a decision to use 16:9 as the distortion is not too big (at least in my opinion). With 4:3, there would be big black bars left and right of the video, so I chose the 16:9. But as I said, you are correct. The correct ratio is indeed 4:3 Thanks for watching!
@@retrononame no worries. I personally prefer the emulation to look as close to the original as possible. I had hoped to show my other half the games we played on my youth but I'm very conscious of the stretching.
Somehow I liked Jack the Nipper 2 as a kid. I found the world was interesting (I didn't really know what I'm supposed to do anyway so was just wandering around like a headless chicken :) ). Thanks for watching!
about ten good games the rest crap did you just play these or im guessing you were not around when these came out and your going by review scores which is a shame as the mags were full of shite and were paid
most of these were good games I enjoyed almost all of them, and yes we were around to play them. It's hard to pick just 50 even in one year's time for the Spectrum..you could just as easily pick 100 or 150 and still leave many more good ones out.
