So useful to see how you colour grade! I've just filmed my first two wedding videos and am about to start editing them, so this video was perfectly timed! It's amazing how much of a difference good colour grading can make.
What is this opening song?? I love it! but I struggle with coloring my films because I'm partially color blind so this is really helpful to for me to start learning how to use the graphs
We actually enjoy it and do it a lot so we have gotten faster. Takes about 2 days to fully complete the grading and audio for our highlight films. You put in what you want to get out of it. More time equals better grading usually.
It says on the website to convert your footage to rec709 before grading. I know it’s easy drag and drop but I didn’t see you do it in this video. Should we not be doing that?
just posted a teaser for one of those weddings. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0cfhSushT-0.html we have a lot of edits we are currently working on and hope to post some more soon ;)
To letterbox or to not letterbox? I notice in your finished videos on vimeo they are all letterboxed but in your tutorial videos they are full screen? do you have a preference or is it based on the final look you are going for?
based off the final look and the type of content we are working with. sometimes the letterbox adds to the story and composition better and sometimes it doesn't. it just depends.
Hey guys, i have a question. in lutify i need to aplicate the log converter. is this converter to convert my canon colors in c log ? i dont need to download the c log profile any more truth ? and can sombody tel me the name of the converter that need for my canon 80d ? thank you so much
Nice video, but isn't luts supposed to be added before making changes in clips like contrast, saturation, exposition etc? What picture profile and color settings are You using in Your videos? It looks really well straight from cam.
lbialy looks great out of camera because we balanced each shot in post. Haha Also it's very common to add various grades or color corrections before and after LUTS are added. The only thing to be mindful of is sometimes harsh changes before the LUT can cause some banding or artifacts if the lut isn't optimized for that bit depth of cameras. Lutify responds really well when pushed in post from our tests.
