I did my graduation in civil engineering from Madras university and post graduation in environmental management from Anna University ............... .....Most of the designs were reinforced cc and ..........cable stayed structures were different level of expertise and not many taught .........crab ....details ....... A few corrections regarding Leslie Robertson, first the twin towers of the original WTC were the tallest buildings in the world but only for 2 years. Sears Tower took their title when it was topped out in 1973, and kept it till Taipei 101 was built 30 years later. And second Robertson was the engineer behind the Shanghai World Financial Center not the Jin Mao Tower.
@@user-qd3oi7wd9t I’m well aware of that, for instance I know the architect for the original trade center was a Japanese American architect. His name was Minoru Yamasaki, I never once said that Leslie Robertson was the architect.
@@user-qd3oi7wd9tWrong. Architects' design the layout plans and allocate various spaces and external features/ aesthetics of the building. The type of structural frame, foundations, floors, and overall stabilty of building so its does not deflect/ sway too excessivley etc. are all desigend by structural engineer. I know this as I am a structural engineer myself.
@@faisalraja6607Architects give birth the whole structure not engineers..ok??. Engineers are just a Helping hand of Architects, nothing else.. Architects have to do a lot of amount of work in a finite amount of time so they needed.
@@user-qd3oi7wd9t you are not undertanding the concept. Architects do spend more time as they do conceptual design and that's why they get paid 5 times more than the engineers. However for example take Burj Khalifa, Architectural plans alone would not have built the building. Do you know engineer's had to develop special machines and pumps to pour concrete to top floors. Special concrete mixes were designed so concrete could flow through 1km of pipes to top and gain the required strenght at 50 degress Dubai temperatures. So you are wrong my friend without engineers only thing architects would do is draw pretty pictures on papers nothing would actullay get built on ground.
Some comments heree are from ignirant people who do not know the difference between architectural and structural design!!! They even dare to criticize full of sarcasm!!
