I have ridden a sxv450 64hp vs 70hp of the 550, and all I have to say is GOD those bikes are insane! Nothing compares to the fucking sound and the incredible acceleration/torque like you're being ripped and thrown of your seat... Accelerate a hair sized little bit on first gear, wheel goes up, on second same shit on 3rd it still ain't safe ripping the fucking throttle, she still wants to wheelie like a maniac machine... God I love this bike, still saving up to buy one!
Unfortunately they are also long gone. I wish they were still in production. I bought a 1200 Dorsoduro instead of the SXV 550 because I listened to a salesman (don't do it little Timmy, don'tlisten to the sales men, they don't know any fucken thing)... I do have regrets because my Dorsoduro while being an insane beast (127bhp 148nm on the dyno), has far more problems than not. I'd rather have changed the oil on an SXV550 every 2500km than what I have now which is reloading the software every 800km which can only be done by a licensed dealer and costs 15x more than an oil change I'd do at home. It's also on its 3rd starter motor, its 2nd demand sensor (ride by wire throttle), and the MAP (Mean Air Pressure) sensor has also fucked out. Really bad for a bike that has 8050km on it... like I said, I have regrets not buying an SXV550 instead
@@markc3206 I have both: Nuda 900R and SXV550. They are not compareable: The Nuda is a Streetbike and the SXV is a racebike. I ride the SXV only in stracks.
I have a 2020 DRZ400SM With big bore and cams, FCR41 tuned to right about 50hp....but unfortunately it needs an oil change once in a while, and every few years maybe some basic service.
I just sold my 2011 Ktm 530 exc supermoto, thing was a blast to ride, light fast and looked amazing, sold it to but something fuel injected and I got a 2009 Husqvarna 610,bike is not as fast but a little less maintenance than the ktm,but if I could go back I'd stay with the ktm 😩
Aprilia is hard to sell 2nd hand here in France. I miss my husky 701! I want a 300cc 2 strokes. Soon I'll get! There is nothing better than a Supermotard! The autor of this video loves French supermotard channels... Kikaninac and 100%bitumes bikes were broadcasted in this video (ktm 2 stroke and exc530)
All great super motos however one cannot forget Suzuki DRZ400SM which in my opinion brought super motos to the masses. Over all a solid player for what they are. In the US at least.
@hybridEP3 Of course not... Suzuki just made an error making what the manufacturer called a Super Moto... They have been selling their super motos since 2005. My guess is you have another manufacturer super moto and enjoy wearing your snob hat. It's one thing having a fast super moto and another respecting other brands models.
and you forgot No 1. TM racing ... with FIVE World Championships Titles won, I think you should mention it ... MAYBE ... just in case you have a clue about it ...
You are all wrong. Husqvarna and tm and husaberg are all just chinese shit. Ktm 125 is best bike and has best horsepower. You are just jelous bc ur chinese bikes are not as good as ktm, which is american btw (thats why its the best)
Sorry but for some people like myself it's not in our price range they're asking too much for it. I will always be a Honda rider but I would buy a Suzuki DRZ 400 SMALL b4 I even think about dropping 12 grand on a 450
This is clearly just a knock off of my video, although made better than my video xD Because you listed exactly the same bikes as I did, even in same order..
So all the bikes apart from one are for track use , as a person thats new SM it would of been nice to have an opinion to why each one came in the order it came in,
Apart from the picture, the Aprilia SXV 550 is also designed for the street, this only means that it is cross-equipped or already has the cross version as standard.
@@hks6546 pretty simply, oil change in 10moto/h, chain lubing after 100km, and DNA filter exchaniging in two months Carb checking and take a care of gassoline, it ends faster than you can refil it
@@hks6546 may be after 500km valve chain gone longer, but I changed it before winter, there isnt any voice from there, pistons are in well condition it must be changed after 100m/h and nikosil will be restaured after 2-3 piston changes Spark plugs im checking once a week, but there allways fine 4T engines has huge durability, and isnt necessary to check engine after training or any type of driving
@@hks6546 I have Husky TE250, with 50m/h and pervious owner told me, when they opened the engine, it was like from factory, they did not do anything, just closed and continued use the moto
All relatively high maintenance , fragile Euro bikes. There is more to life than spending much time doing valve adjustments and top end rebuilds. DRZ400SM may not be the highest performance machine but it will still be running when these time consuming , cash demanding brands novelty wears thin .
Ktm 690 smcr is a supermoto, don’t care what you say! It’s a dirt bike on the road! And a bloody good one! By far the best looking, and very practical which I would rather over a slightly quicker two stroke which can blow at any moment
Those are 90% race bikes converted to sumo, except that husky 701...I would argue that supermotos are considered bikes that leave the factory like that, and are relatively reliable with okay-ish maintenance, i dont think many people are really into changing oil every 15 hours, valves 30hours, and rebuilding top end every 100 hours..
I will have to suffer with my KTM 950 SM-R aftermarket exhaust, jet kit air filter...0-80 about 2.8sec.. Yeah.... Louder than any Harley...Oh and spitts fire🔥...Lol...Just gotta love that feature....😂😂
the 701 and the 690 are two different bikes ;) from the *same austrian manufacturer* ! They bove have the same engine thats true but the smcr690 will not build anymore in 2018!
mason white yup, those aint originally supermoto, i think this video is done by someone not so aware of motorcycles, for example puttin a clip of ktm exc 250 and claimin the bike to be exc 300 or just includin exc in smotos cause its quite obvious that it has never been.
