Since the area is left untextured to save memory, they call that effect that's left over HOM, or hall of mirrors. Doom has a similar effect with missing textures.
Midnight Mechanic Wow, that is not at all what that is. I'm an actual game developer, and that "blur" is actually frames being drawn over one another at the current refresh rate. This happens because there is no skybox or geometry to clear the depth buffer. Please don't talk about shit if you don't know what you're actually talking about, you're only insulting your own intelligence at this point.

There's one more glitch to exploit when you face the dragon. If you position yourself in the center of any pillar he can't hit you or go around. When he breaths fire his neck will stick out for Lara to lock on. I think it's two steps back if I remember correctly.
Not sure wether it can be counted as a glitch, but if you kill the final gunman in the bathroom near the window and the shower, you can see his corpse in the final cutscene. Personally I always found it pretty hillarious
1:15 - Everybody who used TR level editor knows what causes this :).Almost every door in TR series has one "irregular" side where the whole square behaves like a wall until the door opens.Your curved jump helped you reach that area which supposed to be unreachable before you open that door :)
There's a weird spider glitch in Tomb Raider 2 in where Lara visits her house (in that mode): I accessed it in my childhood ([{kind of creepy}]) where I ran through the level, the clock started and then there started playing a different eerie type of music or tone which was after the grandmaster Coo-Coo clock was shown, I went into the pool area with Lara Croft and I jumped in the left corner (nothing happened), then I circled the pool (didn't jump in, though), jumped into the right upper corner 6-7 times or more and then it looked like it was as if a giant spider was grabbing you (Lara Croft in a Tomb Raider) and pulling you (Lara Croft) upward constantly (it was a glitch, it wouldn't let go), no guns could be accessed, even if so: the spider was or seemed unkillable and Lara Croft kept constantly screaming
Unfortunately Lara gets locked 'inside' water if she crosses the boundary line from the side, it was possible for her to escape from water in TR1 in the Folly after performing the gate glitch, I think that's why that glitch was patched in TR2.
4:06 _makes gun shooty noises_ Glitch 1 shows up in TR1 ST Francis Folly, but in reverse: you can glitch through a gate that's supposed to open after draining the water from the area, and you find the water just abruptly stops at a vertical line. Probably because if you applied actual physics, the whole main room would be underwater (which would make it a damn sight safer!).
The flare glitch in the shower scene happened to me. The one in the Ice Palace, wtf, hahaha. OK the two last ones beat the others. I'd just love to roll into those windows blowing them to bits simply by pressing the O button.
Wish I knew about these growing up. It was always cool to show your buddys a glitch you found in a game. I remember it as "The Battle Of the Glitches" which friend could "out glitch" the other. Tomb Raider was a gem for finding these. I wish I had a time machine to go back and relive a few of those days, all of them but the Pool back flip glitch...You know what I'm talking about..lol. Back then, Lara was the whole package. I remember me and many of my friends Idolizing her and wishing she was our girl friend. Brains, beauty and a heart to explore. I ran into a broken glass glitch, where TWICE I could not let go properly, and insta-killing myself. I am convinced I had the wrong model of 70004, with bad hardware. I know enough that Crash 2 also has problems with the wrong version of slim.
Interesting. I did see something similar to the "Lara sucks" glitch... I completed the game (by cheating because I'm terrible :P) And noticed that Lara couldn't kill the enemies in any of the Demo Modes. The third Demo Mode was the only one in which Lara got killed... This happened on a PS1 Eidos Ricochet copy.
This happens because when you have finished the game and it takes you back to the title screen, if you load and start the game again, you are given all weapons and unlimited ammo. But by doing so, your enemies health is doubled to make it harder. This same rule effects the demos too so that's why Lara dies in the last demo. She is shooting the same amount of bullets for enemies with normal health
LoreTheGamer haha cool. yea that's right. and ladders occupy an entire line vertically no matter what. in fact there is a section in temple of xian where you can climb on a brick wall just because there is a ladder underneath it on the same line.

Just a question (I apologize for my english): it's possibile to open the locked door in Lara's bedroom, in the training level "Lara's home", even with a glitch? I know that the key is in the last level, but I always wondered if there was an easter egg in that room, or at least if it was possible to enter...

As I am the person who actually made the gameshark code for this I am just guessing but, he probably just entered the following code: D5000000 000C D6000000 0003 8008C4EC 0006 8008C4EE 0006 8008C4F0 0006 1.When level starts press L2+ R2. 2.Then pick the M-16 from your weapon menu. 3.Then press L1 + R1 OR you can just pick the m-16 then go into ram and change those last three addresses from 5 to 6 If there is actually some glitch to do it (which means no ram editing), I would be curious to know about it.

+majinshenmue It's quite complicated but firstly make sure you have a weapon equiped that lara carries on her back. you can only combine these types of weapons. now jump on to a ladder. while on the ladder, jump backwards off the ladder and at the same time press the "draw weapon" button. look at lara's hand, and just as she touches the handle of the weapon let go of action so that she let's go of the ladder (if she actually jumps backwards you let go of action too late). then grab the ladder again as she falls down and the weapon should still be in lara's hand even though she is able walk around as if she has no weapons drawn. now all you need to do is press the hot key button for a different weapon that lara carries on her back. the weapon you began with should now shoot the ammo of the weapon you pressed the hotkey for.

It's REALLY difficult but possible with practice. You basically have to be in exactly the right position when you start the run jump, then delay pressing jump until the last possible second, and then also delay pressing grab until the last possible second. And you also have to be pretty much perfectly straight... I'm pretty sure the grab is frame perfect, so that's the hardest part.
SUOMI yep, and pressing jump as late as possible and pressing grab at the right time. Basicly frame perfect so that's why most people use the inventory to slow it down.

When I did mine 5 years ago (bicycle), It was a complete displacement so surgery was required (high risk of nonunion without surgery) and the fracture point was too close to the shoulder, meaning a regular plate wasn't an option, so they inserted a hook plate that latches onto the shoulder joint, took about 2 years before I could play tennis 100 percent as my shoulder joint suffered damage from the plate insertion and removal, oh well! Get well!
