@@thedittogod5478 Looks cheap? What are you on? It's beautiful!! Feels cheap? I absolutely GUARANTEE you have never even touched one, much less been in one.
I personally think you the Falcon should have been swapped with the Dodge Viper ACR. The Viper ACR was at it's time an incredible track tool, it was an American V10 (which admittedly doesn't sound nice but still), and all of that with the engine in the front and driver behind it. Do I even have to mention these gorgeous proportions? I do agree with the new GT though, it's stunning looking, and I personally think the V6 is always better than a V8, however it's a thoroughbred track car, like an SVJ just with a more attractive exterior.
I don't know, I kinda prefer the F5's design over the Tuatara. I guess the clamshells are really cool, but it's the kind of edgy that has no chance of aging well. It also doesn't sound quite like the F5 does. Respect for elevating the S7, though. Love that thing. Would be awesome if they supercharged it instead.
Great list. American may not have many super cars but the cars we do have are amazing. I still remember seeing the Vector in person back in the day at an air show. That car had presence! The Czinger 21C deserves a spot on the list and I definitely would have added one of the Dodge Vipers. Also, an American supercar that gets criminally overlooked is the Rezvani Beast Alpha. That car is light, fast, beautiful to look at and comes in a 6-speed manual. Keep up the great work. Subscribed! Can't believe I forgot the De Tamoso Pantera. That American supercar gave the Countach a run for its money.
I think the Shelby cobra GT, and the original ford GT40 from the 60s deserve a spot on here. They really changed how supercars were designed, and had a huge role in automotive history!
Man I just want to say thanks for all hilarious moments I've had watching your videos. My family aome5imes think I've gone crazy when i laugh listening to the way you roast cars, their desgners and makers. I used to be a very moody person but your videos has brought out a different and a better person in me. Thanks for the videos and never stop making them.
Being a Brit I am a wee bit offended by the comment about British food..... but you are not incorrect. That Falcon F7 is probably one of the best looking modern American muscle/supercars that I have seen. Certainly better looking than what was at the top spot
I will never let go the Saleen s7 LM from my dream cars list, for those who are wondering, here it is: - GR Yaris RB - Saleen S7 LM - Lamborghini sesto elemento
The guy with the chiron autobahn run got no punishment for his driving, because his friends drove infront of him to make sure he would not crash into someone
A car you might have forgotten about is the Rossion Q1. It has a V6 twin-turbo engine producing 500 hp, a 0-60 of 3.4 seconds, RWD and a manual transmission. Like the Ford GT, but BETTER in my opinion. It looks better, sounds better, and is an absolute beast.
I am not really a huge fan of American cars I mostly think they should go back to making muscle cars and pretty much all of the supercars are either built by Europeans or copied from what Europe has been doing for years now. Sorry but it's true. However one American car o just can't over look is the Saleen S7 Twin turbo. There is just something about it that just makes it so special in my eyes and I would love to have one.
You mentioned the C8 ZO6 being a supercar but what about the C7 ZR1? It had a top speed of 212 mph and had a supercharged LT5 producing 755 hp and 715 lb ft of torque with a 0-60 time of around 3 seconds (depending on manual or automatic of course). Even with the ZO6 coming out the ZR1 still remains the most powerful and fastest Corvette ever made. It even competed with the Ford GT.
In the past, the definition of a supercar described an expensive car that is flashy, fast, luxurious and prestigious. The Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing is considered by many to be the first supercar ever, while others consider the Lamborghini Miura to be the first. Nowadays it is difficult to distinguish between a sports car and a supercar, or a supercar and a hypercar. I think that if the C8 ZO6 is considered a supercar, then the C7 ZR1 should also be also.
It makes more power than a Ferrari Roma, is more luxurious than a Ferrari Roma, and looks better than a Ferrari Roma, yet that's considered a Supercar and the C8 isn't?
It doesn't at all actually, Cosworth had nothing to do with the car, and was entirely developed in Detroit. There's literally no British footprints on it whatsoever.
@@TopCarsTV Hey Stype! I don't want to bother you again, but thought in a idea for a video. I think it would be nice if you made a: "The design of french cars" Because you know, french are the king of car quirkness, it would be interesting to know your opinion on some designs like Citroen SM, Citroen XM, Renault Avantime, DS9, Peugeot 508 and many others. Just a idea, and again, sorry if i am incomodating you.
Aha! Thanks for answering me. I am a big fan of your channel! Although i may disagree on some of your opinions, i still love your videos! Cheers man, and a hug coming right from Brazil! 🙂
The Corvette C8 Z06 finally came with an all American V8 that isn't a pain to hear, I mean how could they go wrong after taking inspiration form the Ferrari 458
@@TopCarsTV OK but i think you misunderstood me i think about the shelby cobra Daytona but anyway agree gladly with the list using best toilet humor and could you consider a supercar Euro list or a list of cars for secret agents or spys i looked on RU-vid but found not such a list
What about the Tesla model S Plaid? Tesla is an American company, and the model S plaid has 1000hp. Plus, with the speed restriction removed, it can go over 350km/h, but it’s top speed has yet to be reached.
@@beanapprentice1687 it's much more of a luxury car than a supercar, lots of comfort features, air suspension, and quiet, but quick when it needs to be.
@@TopCarsTV It depends on your criteria, but it checks all the usual supercar boxes: performance (without question), rarity, design/styling, price, impracticality, etc. It's definitely more of an exotic than a Corvette, regardless of trim, plus there are more vettes produced in a single year than the Viper's entire production run. Sure a Z06 is rarer than a base model, but even the C8s are already a dime a dozen. And sure the Viper design drew inspiration from the original Cobra, but the motor was also designed by Lamborghini engineers. Calling them the same car is like saying the the C8Z is mostly the same as a 1953 vette lol.
Let's go, Vector W8! I've loved that car ever since Gran Truismo 2, thought it was the craziest looking thing ever and still my favorite American car ever. Too bad the transmission is complete rubbish. Love the '05 GT, '08 ACR, and '09 ZR1 too... underrated trio from the 2000s. The latter I'd actually call the first Corvette supercar.
Honestly, I think the W8 as a whole makes sense - even the three-speed. Think about it, it's a twin-turbo TPI V8 with extreme torque and only 2-wheel-drive. Transmission durability is much more important to the car than close gear ratios - and it still manages a 4-second 0-60.
I love it when the highly criticized American supercars beats the crap of the European supercars in endurance racing. And they have been doing it on /off for years. And I am European
I've always been a huge fan of Corvettes, but I totally disagree with the ideas behind the C8. I'm not saying it's a bad car. I've tested it for some laps on the Nurburgring, and it's a slayer. But The design is more like an American F458 Italia than what were the old corvettes. The C6 and C7 will forever be the *real* Corvettes imho.
there is a video on the SSC's instagram of the Tuatara engine reaching 1890hp and its latest run clocked in at 295mph and the Tuatara was still pulling at a good pace
I really enjoy the list given. They are my favorite ones. Including the ones you would guess. I don’t know what the third one is so I might need a little more time analyzing it. I like calling the Tuatara: “The Mrr’can fighter jet”, Venom F5: “The Killer Evija,” and the Venom GT: “The Killer Elise.”
Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!!!!
