In regards to keeping your visor clean, I now apply a ceramic coating to the visor, which makes it hard for bugs to really stick hard onto the surface, and makes cleaning the visor sooo much easier. It also makes it much harder to micro scratch the surface as well.
I've heard this before. From stupid tik tok memes I think scrubbing the visor with the gas station stuff is pretty solid and free. It has anti clumping and a slight hydrophobic coating. You could always throw some rain x on the visor too for pretty cheap
I use dish soap for cleaning my visor and it works great. For ear plugs, have a huge box of the Howard Leight green low pressure ones. They are smaller and more comfortable to wear for long periods, and the lower isolation helps hear traffic, music, and comms. Get the ones without a tether, or else the helmet will press on them uncomfortably.
Hl is great have you tried concert ear buds like the highest level loops? Theyre what i got and i think they are fantastic for massive concert speakers i wonder how they do on a bike
Let me tell you, saddlebags and a rear rack was a game changer for my bike. It went from a fun little toy to take around town to my full on daily driver and work vehicle. I know not everyone likes the touring look but bags and a rack turned my little Honda into a little mule.
As a heads up for any french riders out there: While you most likely won't get in any trouble for it, only earplugs certified for motorcycle use (89/686/CEE and NF EN352) are legal to use while riding.
Been riding 2 years and of everything you mentioned I use the cover the most. I have a full cover and half cover, the half cover is used more. It’s great at keeping dew off the seat and upper part of the bike on the cool mornings. No wet pants and dew splashing back in your face as you first take off!
Shook off the afterberth this past weekend. Ride 70 miles down hwy 49 in Tennessee with a buddy and loved it. Headed out this weekend for my second time down the Natchez Trace.
To clean bugs from your helmet, get a paper towel, drench it on water and slap it over the helmet for a couple of minutes... It will help with the hard exoskeleton of the bugs and then you can use muc-off and a microfiber towel to leave it squeaky clean 🤣
Bought my first bike about a week ago. It was not a ninja 400, it is a Suzuki GSX 8s and I've been riding around my my area and getting used to the bike and so far I've had loads of fun learning how to ride it and just riding around
if I will ever get a motorcycle it would probably be a sport turing bike, something with some torque for the slow speed town riding while also being comfterable in a corner to enjoy the twisties. Also with a bike like that, a bag wont look too out of place on it because I would like to use the bike as a tool as well as a toy.
When I bought my first bike the guy included a pair of nice smooth expensive Shoei helmets. Never understood people complaining about wind noise and needing earplugs. Whenever I rode it was nice and quiet and I figured the helmet was as good as earplugs. Well......the helmets got old so bought a new one. A cheap one. Not really all that smooth. Took a ride and..............my ears rang for days. Now I understand.
Years on a firing range already did a lot of the work and 4 years living on a Navy CG warship sleeping and working mostly below the water line allowed the ships sonar to finish off much of what was left.
was hoping to see a first aid kit on here from your shop lol I need to spend some money to win that zx4rr and a first aid kit is what i need to add to my bag
if you have a rear disc, place the disc lock on that, not the front disc. in the very likely event you ride off without remembering to take it off, you are a lot less likely to fall off when you pull away.
I figured out where to put my garage door opener that makes it possible to use while riding up to the door. Put it in the side pocket of your backpack facing the button out and make sure it’s tight. Then just reach back and push the button when you pull up. You’re welcome. lol
Here in Victoria Australia, helmet cameras are illegal if they protrude more than 5mm from the helmet. Probably the same in many countries so no chinmounts allowed.
Security Mod: Hide somewhere on your bike. a waterproof "TILE" tracker, about $25 (or "AIR" thing? - btw, I hate Apple products), and change the battery annually; Then, if the bike "disappears" (or anything else hard to find) do the "lost" procedure on your Cellphone (with the sound off for suspected theft - don't want to alert the thieves you're tracking, eh) to find where it went! Tell the COPS! Buy a 4- pack, and put one on your keys, in your wallet, on your pet's collar! Don't have a pet, go adopt one to ride along with you - BLONDE>< BRUNETTE>< RED HEAD....!
For a helmet camera..are there any that work with just your phone? Idk much about GoPros or any other cameras but I don’t have a laptop and I’m not sure if some of the cameras require you to have a laptop to view and edit videos
Insta360c pretty pricey, has a dedicated app for mobile and PC for editing, and exporting, would recommend an external storage device, will eat your memory.
Picture this: You are stopped at a red light alone. You are wearing earplugs or a even worse earbuds and you are listening to music. A GIGANTIC TRUCK has just lost control behind you and is coming at you at light speed. He keeps honking the horn and he screams MOVE MOTHERF*CKER!@@#$! SH1111T!!! You are just dancing having a great time on your bike and suddenly you see the GATES OF HEAVEN. NEVER EVER EVER EVER DRIVE A MOTORCYCLE WITHOUT SOUND ON. I don't care what anyone says. To me is almost like driving with a blindfold.
Test ride and try to get something as new as possible. Most beginner bikes are boring after a year or so. But the ninja 400 seems to be a go tto for people who ride bigger bikes but want something fun for daily rides where they don't need 200hp. Don't borrow money on your first bike as you're probably going to drop it a time or to.
“Don’t get tinnitus when you’re 25” Lol. I’m 26 and have to sleep with a box fan on to drown out the ringing. Playing guitar, shooting guns, riding motorcycles, and work in an industrial setting definitely doesn’t help.
Hey I got a question my family has got this property in a small town and it is a pretty big property and I am 14 rn anyway like 4 months ago my dad got me a honda 2000 nighthawk 250 for 400$ and I fixed it up and put some oof road tires on it I have been riding ebikes and min bikes for a long time so I way just wondering if I am considered am "motorcycle rider " lol cuz my dumb a$$ decided to buy tec 3 and remember YEE YEE BROTHERS
Please stop flexing on your buddies I wanna be able to ride without fear of being targeted by police and angry drivers you guys pussed off on the block before me .now they take their aggression out on the next rider . A.k.a Dont ride like an idiot
There are always better product available in market. That doesnt mean only this should be catered to new riders! Dont appreciate the way videos addresses
@@echowells7846 I'm actually loving it! Lol I feel the same it is so much fun I'm just hyped to be able to ride it whenever I get the chance! Also looks great !!
To clean your visor, using moistened towels for eyeglasses are much easier to keep on you than the spray bottle. I've used them for years and they work well.
Hot water and 2 microfiber towels is all you need to get bugs off your visor. Get the water steaming hot and put the rag under and kinda ring it out and lay it on the visor and sit for a few minutes and just wipe off and then wipe with the dry one
One of my first mods has always been headlight modulator. Been riding for 3+ decades and have yet to be involved in an accident on my street bikes. Plenty of dirt bike accidents though.
😂 this guy thinks the gimmick box that flashes your high beam while riding makes you safer. That's as much a myth as loud pipes save lives. I would say your skill level and habits are what kept you out of accidents, not your flashing high beam.
Talking of frame sliders... can you let people know that the cheap Alloy knockoffs are likely to send the force of an impact directly into the frame where it is mounted and do a lot of damage to the frame, ie crack and bend! And that the plastic like materials that some manufacturers spend a fortune researching and testing actually absorb impact and prevent that from happening! as well as rotate on the sleeved bolt, for whatever the reason for that is, and provide just enough friction on the road to slow down the slide. Glass wipes...in soft packs designed to be kept in the glove box of a car, but fit nicely under the seat (if it opens up) when they are handy, you can clean off fresh bugs easily. and water spots when you find the sky was just waiting for you to leave for work before saying F you! Ear plugs? I take the bike and leave the car and wife at home so I don't need ear plugs! do Boom or any other of the Chinese bike brands sell covers with their logo on it? who knows what's under the cover, it could be a Boom or it could be something they want to target. but if the cover has the brand of something nobody wants, then they will overlook it entirely! (unless they saw you pull up and cover it)
My family has a house on the country side in which noise and lights restriccions are pretty lax. We have plenty of enduro and cross bikes but my favorite to take for a ride is my 1987 Honda XR250R. My safety method is parking it, removing the sparkplug. Bonus feature is the kickstart that many people nowadays dont even know how to start a kickstart a carburated bike lol
now i wanna know where i should buy a helmet, like a store on the shelf cause im new to the us and i wanna get my first helmet that are high quality and original, this will be a big help too yam thank you
