It'd be really cool if there were some free-roaming droids puttering around. I just love them, especially those skittish mouse droids zipping around. It would add a whole new layer of immersion

That will definitely be amazing to add to the realism! It's too bad that doing so will be really risky as those free-roaming droids will be vulnerable to being damage by the guests. Especially the small ones like mouse droids and BB units, they are so small that they can be easily unnoticed and guests can suddenly trip over them, hurting themselves and/or damaging the droids. Not to mention, there's a fair chance of those being stolen. At the very least, astromech droids would be the safest and easier option if this idea is to be implemented. They're easier to program (compared to protocal humanoid droids), large enough to be noticed, and can be controlled easily via remote control. There can even be a cast member accompanying them to make sure they remain safe. There will still be some risks, but that would be the most realistic option.

It would be nice, but considering the multitude of guests that might interact negatively with the droids either due to lack of self-control or alcoholic substances, it might be best to have the droids be interacted with in controlled situations.

That would be cool, but that would probably never happen. I guarantee you people would steal them and you would see them on ebay the next day. I mean people even stole the menus from the cantina and sold them on ebay. A functioning free roaming mouse droid would't last 10 minutes.

@@metra4346 Yes I know of all the reasons why it would be a bad idea. I'm just saying, in a perfect world where humans weren't trash, it'd be great to see. I know logically, Disney would never do it.

Rex has recently become one of my favorite Disney Parks characters and I'm SUPER excited to see him in October! I'm really glad he has a lot of references back to his pilot days in his DJ dialogue!

100% thought Hondo was a person walking around when I went into that room. He's got my vote as one of the most amazing things created in Galaxy's Edge. I love his back and forth with R5-P8, which is also awesome because I really liked the goofy-teethy smiley face he wore in Clone Wars. Its cool to see him as "real" now.

I didnt realize it until looking at a video that on splash mountain on the part where you rise up after most of the dark ride part, if you look behind you actually can see a lot of the lighting and other mechanisms out in the open.

If 25K is a bit much, you could always try building your own. Just join your local droid builder's club for assistance and you'll have your very R2 for less than 25K, it just might take a while but you'd have the satisfaction of having built it yourself.

Fun Fact that I learned last year was that the Pod racing engine used to cook the meat is from Anakin Skywalker's pod! I knew it was familiar but at first I thought it was just a coincidence until I remembered that Anakin made his from scratch so it is unique and original!

I went yesterday. It was my second time at Hollywood Studios!! It was raining, but only sprinkling. There is not a many rides at the park, but we did enjoy a wide range of shows, and meet and greets! We only got to ride two rides- Smugglers Run, and Star Tours. It came a down pour!! Rain everywhere....but that's okay because it was about an and hour and a half until the park closed. I had fun. :)

I am a little disappointed that Galaxys Edge is all about the Sequels. It would have been great to see a Vader animatronic or Palpatine in his Throneroom. Maybe even Palpatine in his office above Corussant. The possibilitys are endless
